Audio/Video Quality: Cheerleader Nurses was presented in the originally filmed 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by director Jim Holliday (though credited to Bionca) for VCA Pictures (shot concurrently with Part 2 of the series) back in 1993. The picture was blurry once in awhile, relied on a sense of raw energy rather than technical expertise, and had a wonderfully diverse cast of appealing ladies. The fleshtones were a bit washed out and occasionally out of focus but fans of classic porn understand the limitations of the genre at least as well as I do so take the rating with a grain or ten of salt (and it looked better than some of his other early works). The audio was presented in the usual Dolby Digital stereo English but the vocals appeared to be looped in a few cases, the dialogue slightly out of synch at times, and it sounded hollow more often than not. The music was trademark Jim Holliday style as provided by Double Vision, perhaps an early iteration of Reno & the Rum Runners, with intermittent music punctuating the scenes from time to time.

Body of Review: Jim Holliday always had a thing for certain occupational groups that women seemed to be most commonly employed in, with nurses as a big draw for him. This was likely why so many of his movies used medical themes including the golden oldie, Cheerleader Nurses from 1993. The back of the box said it like this: "Welcome to the Burton Allen Institute. Here, ambitious young women train to become student nurses while they nurture alternative vocations like car wash management, exotic dancing, and...cheerleading. Earn your degree at home as our eleven bodacious Freshman babes cheer their way to the top of the malpractice heap- and right into your pants!" What better way to combine Holliday's love of nurses, cheerleaders, and frisky cuties than to make such a movie (even though it credited Bionca as director, Jim was listed as Associate Director and there was no doubt he was in charge of the project)? That said, here's a short take on the movie's scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used:

Scene One: Tiffany Mynx, the hotty featured on the right hand side of the front DVD cover, was up first as she sucked off Randy Spears in bed. She lubed him up really well before he gave her crack a licking too, followed by him tapping her tight pussy as she held her legs spread far apart. The scene was dreadfully short but it backs up my contention that she looks and performs better now then she ever has in the past.

Scene Two: Crystal Wilder, the hotty on the left hand side of the front DVD cover, was up next in a lesbian scene with equally appealing Alex Jordan as both slowly stripped off their nurse outfits in a hospital bed set up. They ate each other out and applied lots of lube for the fingering action before using a couple of dildos on each other. This led to the non-sex role by Ron Jeremy for those who care.

Scene Three: Crystal Wilder, again in her nurses outfit, tended to both Jon Dough and Terry Thomas in bed here with Terry eating her out and fingering her as she blew Jon enthusiastically. There was no doubt why she shared the cover with Tiffany given her performances here, but she came alive when faced with both cocks to suck. They screwed her vaginally and then with a DP that she enjoyed more than a little bit, ending all too soon with the double facial by the men.

Scene Four: Bionca, Rebecca Bardoux, Melanie Moore, and Lacy Rose, were up next in bed with a lesbian orgy that included Bionca as a focal point of the action. The ladies licked, fingered and sucked each other off, eventually employing a strap on dildo before all seeming to get off in a sweaty frenzy with a lot of laughs.

Scene Five: Bionca, as the older head nurse (she did give great head after all), was up next in a small room with Joey Silvera (long before his apparent fascination with transsexuals, he liked MILFs). She masturbated and teased him until he came over to eat her out. This seemed to get her off but Joey banged away at her for a minute or two and popped his load onto her cookie after that.

Scene Six: Sharon Kane, Kiss, Nikki Sinn, Shawnee Cates, Melanie Moore, and Randy Spears, were up last as the movie turned to a reverse gangbang with him as the focal point. Initially, they tested him to make sure he was straight; proving that, they started blowing him and sitting on his face in a really warm scene full of chemistry. The ladies weren't above pawing and tasting one another either as Randy boned a few of them doggy style. The scene ended when he jerked off to the ass crack of one of them, the heap of bodies all sweaty and sticky to close (with the highlights of the second volume in the series; shot at the same time, displayed before the credits).

Summary: Cheerleader Nurses was a swell effort by Jim Holliday that provided a sweet look at a youthful Tiffany Mynx and the waning days of superstar Bionca who could still out fuck and out suck most gals in porn by this point in time. The movie was short, full of quirky humor that perhaps only Jim truly understood, and notable for the fluffy sex the cast had together as they enjoyed themselves more than a little in the most expedient of scenarios that let them shine, making this DVD worth at least a Rent It, if not worthy of buying for fans of such sex that has long since given way to the increasingly hardcore antics the industry seems to think we want. In short, Cheerleader Nurses was a breath of fresh air to this jaded old reviewer that admits the pairings were too short but still full of the kind of energy too often missing in today's formulaic porn.
