Audio/Video Quality: Sorority Sex Kittens 2 was presented in the originally filmed 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by directors Jim Holliday & Michael Craig for VCA Pictures (shot concurrently with Sorority Sex Kittens 1). The picture was blurry more than a few times, relied on a sense of raw energy rather than technical expertise, and had a wonderfully diverse cast as seen on the back of the DVD cover. The fleshtones were a bit washed out and occasionally out of focus but fans of classic porn understand the limitations of the genre at least as well as I do so take the rating with a grain or ten of salt. The audio was presented in the usual Dolby Digital stereo English but the vocals appeared to be looped in a few cases, the dialogue slightly out of synch at times, and it sounded hollow more often than not. The music was trademark Jim Holliday style as provided by Double Vision, perhaps an early iteration of Reno & the Rum Runners, with intermittent music punctuating the scenes from time to time.

Body of Review: VCA Pictures was known as the home of director Jim Holliday for a very long time; not because he was their only director (they had several very talented directors besides him under contract) but because he seemed to best embody their style of fun porn that people could get off to with a smile and not feel ashamed over it. As I delve into their past with my ongoing Jim Holliday retrospective, I have noticed some of the fundamental changes that came later but even the earlier flicks such as Sorority Sex Kittens 2, the sequel (though shot at the same time as) to Sorority Sex Kittens 1, proved to display the slow evolution of the directorial powerhouse the industry lost a few years back to his medical problems. The box cover said it like this: "Congratulations! You've won a full scholarship to Lost River College! Picking up where Part One left off, we find the gals of Upsilon Sigma up to their usual sexual antics--keeping the student body in an erotic uproar! As Easy Ed and Lila Cantrelle prepare for their ultimate face-off, the new pledge class is initiated in a mind-boggling 25-girl orgy that'll sear your eyeballs! Never before has Higher Education stooped so low!" The movie was fun but short and as it showed some of the hottest gals of the time, provides an excellent time capsule through the lens of Holliday's twisted mind. Here's a quick glimpse into the movie's scenes by cast and action, noting that only one condom was used:

Scene One: Shayla LaVeaux, one of the ladies Jim used all the time, even years after what the industry considered her prime, and Kelly O'Dell, the gal on the lower middle of the front DVD cover, were up first in a sort of tease scene where they masturbated in their room beside one another in front of a mirror. It wasn't a full scene by any means but a nice way to compliment the hot car wash action by the others and montage of appealing shots while the credits rolled.

Scene Two: Melanie Moore, a lean bleach blonde with a round rump, TT Boy, and Steve Drake, were up in the first full scene after she taunted them into action in a dorm room on the bed. The setting was familiar from the first volume but she seemed intent on getting as much cock as she could grab; doing mostly oral, some vaginal, and then a few strokes of anal before the men popped.

Scene Three: Kelly O'Dell, the hot looking blonde all ready to fully rumble this time in the room with TT Boy, enjoyed his attentions as he went down on her while she kicked back in the bed. He then started banging her with a condom, and banging her hard at that, but the overuse of close ups weakened the scene for me more than a little bit. Still, the music was cute and she liked having her ass tickled with a feather, leading to more screwing before he jerked off onto her body.

Scene Four: Victoria Paris, an older gal with lightened hair, was up next with Steve Drake as they enjoyed a romantic dinner in a secluded picnic site together. They kissed and felt each other up with some oral attention before he tried to bone her very tight cookie. I say tried because she must've had the tightest pussy in the world since he lost his load almost immediately, completely contrary to modern porn standards. This marked it as more realistic than usual but I'm not sure that's a good thing if you catch my drift.

Scene Five: Ashlyn Gere, one of the most popular brunettes of the day back when this was shot, joined Jon Dough, on a big fancy bed after they set the mood. Sadly, after a few moments of her actively riding his cock vaginally, he dropped his moderate load of population pudding onto her crotch.

The ladies were initiating a few new members into the sorority and once that was done, they all formed a huge daisy chain, only to break off into smaller pairings of two to four gals each. They licked, fingered, and stroked one another with my only problem being they should have just had this as the sole scene of the movie and let the cameras wander. There was more going on then you could possibly capture and the look on the faces of most of the ladies spoke volumes as to how much fun they were having; truly a remarkable scene for fans of the female form. Yum!

Summary: Sorority Sex Kittens 2 was more a continuation of Sorority Sex Kittens 1 than anything else with the same kind of near nonsensical plot that only Jim seemed to understand thanks to insider jokes and nods to events that took place long, long ago but the sex was light, easy going, and well worth watching for all but the most jaded fans out there. For a guy that's seen thousands of movies over the decades, it was nice to revisit, especially seeing some of the ladies I used to appreciate years ago (this was shot in late 1992 or early 1993 IIRC). I'm going to list it as a Rent It but there was more stroke value, replay value, and fuck for the buck than the previous volume, even if the extras were kind of weak and the technical values still in need of polishing up. In short, Sorority Sex Kittens 2 was exactly the kind of flick that Jim Holliday used to make throughout his career, even if he improved on the formula with time and bigger budgets.
