Extra's: The best extra was the 32.5 minute long Behind the Scenes feature that showed off a lot of additional sex, nudity, and humor; also providing some interview footage with the ladies of the movie. I can't stress enough that there was a sense of playfulness taking place behind the scenes that a great many sets simply don't have; making the replay value of the movie all that much more for me even though the cast had a single top performer (Jasmine) for me. It was a great extra and added some value for me to enjoy the movie all that much more. There was nearly 13 minutes of photoshoot footage, filmographies, a photogallery, a cast list, a cumshot recap, and some websites in the double disc set as well.

Audio/Video Quality: Evil Anal was presented in 1.85:1 ratio letterboxed color as shot for DVD by director Manuel Ferrara for Evil Angel. I would've greatly preferred the movie to be in anamorphic widescreen (the process adds a lot of detail to the picture on widescreen televisions) but that trend hasn't hit Evil Angel yet so I'll just have to wait. This being his third release for the company, I figured it would look similar to the last though in coming months I'm led to believe that there will be some improvements made too. The colors were fairly solid, the fleshtones accurate, but the lighting was not the best this time; making the picture look decent but not as good as some of his older work. Lighting varied by the scenes and was spottier than previous efforts but still seemed to convey the sense of raw energy fairly well. The amount of grain and video noise were low to moderate as a result so while it wasn't the best I've seen from Michael, it was better than some gonzo productions. There were no compression artifacts noticed during the scenes but the strength of the visuals was how the composition of the shots almost always enhanced the looks or perceived passion of the scenes. The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital stereo English with minimal separation between the channels and a standard dynamic range, making it nothing special in this sense but not bad either.

Body of Review: Manuel Ferrara is considered one of the sexiest men alive in porn by the ladies I've spoken with and his directing style seems to reflect his love of the ladies in return. He consistently provides some of the best raw energy in gonzo porn as a result of the chemistry he instills in his scenes, with his Evil Angel releases showing some of the best stroke and replay value of the company's catalog. His latest movie is Evil Anal, a lengthy set of gonzo scenes where the ladies had some great anal sex as they showcased why they were among the best performers in the business in their tease-filled performances. The double disc set provided a lot of fuck for the buck and like any of Manuel's recent releases, the movie will appeal to raincoaters as well as those who like the kind of long, drawn out scenes where every aspect of their sexuality is given a chance to shine.
