Extra's: Most fans will appreciate the bonus scene between Jada Fire and LT from Sugarwalls Black Tales as being the best extra. The scene lasted 26 minutes and will appeal to fans of black on black gonzo pairings. I also liked the nearly 7.5 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Vanessa Blue (who worked the camera for the scenes too) since it had some of the ladies looking ready to rumble in terms of their scenes but also sporting some attitude with those on the set as well. Audio/Video Quality: Up That Black Ass was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by director LT for distribution by Elegant Angel. The camera work was better than average this time with plentiful lighting to mostly eliminate grain, video noise and shadows. Vanessa Blue was working the camera in most scenes, showing she still had some solid talents on both sides of the screen to impress the fans. I saw no compression artifacts and the composition of the camera angles strongly favored the female performers better than some of his peers in the field. There were a few rough edges in need of polishing up and LT has a way to go before he reaches the skill level of Nutsack, Collins, or others at the company; but it was a solid effort on technical skills alone. The 2.0 Dolby Digital English track was pretty basic with little separation or dynamic range yet I could hear the cast well enough in most cases with the music sounding pleasant enough.

Body of Review: LT has been a meat puppet for long enough that his recent shot at directing came as no surprise. Joining the ranks of so many that have used Elegant Angel as a launching pad for such careers, he focuses his efforts on urban or "black" porn where he enjoys the pleasures of the curvier, darker variety, following a formula that has him sucking ass before the ladies give up their goodies to him. The movie title was Up That Black Ass and starred some of the finest ladies of color with the added benefit of lovely Vanessa Blue on camera. That said, here's a quick look at the scenes by action and cast, noting that no condoms were used:

The quality of the ladies, the action, and the technical values all made Up That Black Ass worthy of being rated as Recommended thanks also due to the levels of stroke and replay value, making me wonder what tricks LT has up his sleeve for his next release. I was surprised that the menu page wouldn't allow for scene by scene access (a coding error from the looks of it) but the mastering of DVDs is generally handled better than that by the company but this minor quirk really didn't hurt the DVD that much, just struck me as a flaw in the quality control program of Elegant Angel reminiscent of days gone by.
