Extra's: The best extra, as usual, was the 15 minute long Behind the Scenes feature where the ladies posed for the stills used in the photogallery, showed some extra nudity, and had a bit more sex in some cases. Not all of the ladies were given much air time here but it still added some value. Aside from the mentioned photogallery, there was also a cum shot recap, and a double sided DVD cover.

Audio/Video Quality: Big Bottoms Up was presented in the same 1.33:1 ratio full frame color it was shot in by director Juan Cuba for Platinum X Pictures. I'm familiar with his work at Platinum X Pictures as a behind the scenes guy and his skills as a full fledged director at various companies has been getting pretty good, even if the rough edges are slow to disappear. The lighting was only average though and this led to some issues with grain, video noise, and shadows yet he did a reasonably good job overall in presenting a solid set of visuals. The composition of the shots seemed to enhance the look of most of the ladies, showing more improvement than any other aspect of his previous works. There were no compression artifacts so even the mastering of the DVD was handled well and some of you will appreciate the lack of the formerly displayed watermark of the company logo in the lower right hand corner of the screen during the show. The 2.0 Dolby Digital stereo was in English but the actual audio appeared to be shot in monaural with the processing added later on (in the mastering part of the process). The vocals were generally clear but lacked any separation or dynamic range so this is an area that Juan needs to work more on.

Body of Review: Juan Cuba currently directs for several companies including Platinum X Pictures. Most of his work is straightforward and relies on the abilities of the cast rather than his innate ability to coax great performances out of them. His latest release for the company is Big Bottoms Up, the director's tribute to women with bountiful booties, even if some of them did not do anal sex. In all, Juan proved to be a capable director here so I was happy with checking out the disc's five scenes. That said, here's a quick look at the scenes, noting that no condoms were used:

Scene One: Naomi, dressed in a booty hugging green outfit, was first up as she teased the camera with her body in the living room for a few minutes until Michael Stefano joined her. He felt her up and went down on her long enough to get her wet, rubbing his cock along her ass cheeks until plunging it into her pussy. Summary: Big Bottoms Up was a decent offering by director Juan Cuba for Platinum X Pictures. The ladies, the technical qualities, the amount of fuck for the buck and stroke value made Big Bottoms Up worthy of a Recommended. There were a few scenes in need of polishing up and all of the sex wasn't consistently heated as the best scenes but in terms of overall quality, Juan may just be the key to PXP's growth in coming months.
