Extra's: The best extra was the 8 minute long Behind the Scenes feature. It gave some of the cast a chance to say hi and give their impressions of their scenes for the movie (it even had the busty blond make up gal that usually works for Third Degree and Chris Streams in it) with Melissa Lauren working the camera if I recall correctly. There was a set of cumshot recaps, a photogallery, and a slipcover for the DVD case too.

Audio/Video Quality: Cum A Holics 1 was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by fledgling director Melissa Lauren for Combat Zone. I'm told that she has directed for some smaller unknown company but as it stands, this was a solid effort for someone so new to the production aspects of porn (it was her second release for this company). The lighting was generally flat and solid in the scenes, limiting the grain and video noise substantially as a result. There were some issues with scene two that appear to have been related to lighting and/or the mastering of the DVD but it still looked pretty good for a newbie director. The composition of most scenes seemed to favor the look of the cast, with minor editing needed to polish it up to a better offering but I thought much of the show was captured with the energy and enthusiasm of the cast intact. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English that had little separation and a standard dynamic range for gonzo porn but the only area I didn't truly like was the numerous times when Melissa would bark out orders for the cast to follow (I don't like it when Jules Jordan does it either).

Body of Review: Melissa Lauren may be best known as a great performer on camera but these days she's also trying to break the mold and become a talented director too. Working for Combat Zone, she has now provided them with their 16th title, the potentially award winning Cum A Holics 1, a gonzo title centering on cumswapping that is set to be released in the very near future. The cast had some of the most reliable gonzo gals in the business but also some fresh blood that has been making waves as some of the best up and comers the industry has to offer. If you like gals that actively participate in their scenes, showing they are into the action for more than just the money, this was a surprisingly strong flick to enjoy. Here's a quick look at the four scenes by cast and action, noting that the men weren't credited (again!) but no condoms were used either:

Scene One: Jayna Oso, the lean Latina hotty, incredibly sexy blonde German Annette Schwartz, D. Snoop and studly Rico Strong, were up first as the ladies played with one another in a teasing fashion to begin the scene. Either way, Melissa has shown that she's not just a hot piece of meat for us to enjoy watching given how skillfully she got the cast to work with a sense of chemistry and energy. It was a good title with all the advertised action and if this is a sign of things to come, I think Melissa is going to make a lot of fans very happy (if depleted).
