Extra's: Tina Tyler provided the best extra by handling most of the 21 minutes of Behind the Scenes footage used. There was more sex, lots of funny anecdotes, and it gave a sense of where director Jimmy Scaffnetti and the cast were at mentally. There were some trailers, a photogallery, a fetish menu, and a second side to the DVD cover (only having other title covers though) for those who care.

Audio/Video Quality: Nasty Universe 2 was presented in a 1.85:1 ratio letterboxed widescreen as shot by director Jimmy Scaffnetti for Mercenary Pictures. The lighting was decent, eliminating the grain and video noise of some of the older works by the company, proving Jimmy has picked up a few tricks from the many directors he has worked with, under, for, and in conjunction with. The composition of the shots was decent and tended to enhance the look of the ladies most of the time. There were a few bits here and there that needed polishing up but it was well done overall. Jimmy seemed to get assistance on camera a few times but this wasn't a large leap forward for him compared to some of the work he's done for others of late. There were no compression artifacts and any edge enhancement wasn't noticed when I watched the flick. The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital English with no separation between the channels and kind of limited music added in after the fact. The vocals were also a bit unbalanced as there were times when you couldn't hear them well at all and other times when they were as plain as day.

Body of Review: Jimmy Scaffnetti has been something of a behind the scenes guy working in gonzo porn for a long time, assisting such notables as Erik Everhard, Vince Vouyer, and others in making some of the best gonzo titles available. Well, thanks to his dedication and skill, the nice folks at Mercenary Pictures hired him as a full fledged director in between his other gigs. The circle now complete, he showed that he was no longer a learner but a master himself, providing us with Nasty Universe 2. The action relied heavily on Erik as male talent but the ladies were the focal points with some of the best work I've seen at the company to date.
