Extra's: Like most of the Shane's World releases of late, there were some good extras with my favorite being the 38 minutes of Behind the Scenes footage called, appropriately enough, Lost Footage. Extra sex, nudity, and some of the mini-dramas were all covered here nicely, making it enhance the value of the DVD. There was a fair amount of foot fetish material here for those who care, lots of the road trip edited out from the movie itself, and some good times. Another extra I really liked was an Elimidate styled segment called Casey's Date that had her going on a day date with two attractive ladies (Holly and Crissy), settling for Crissy in the end to have sex with. It was fun and ended with a lesbian scene in the bed that showed a tender side with her partner looking quite familiar. It lasted 30.5 minutes and had some good strap on dildo action for those who care but they made a nice couple in and out of bed. After that was a couple of handjobs by Roxy to give Casey's roommates a going away present (the first guy must be related to Peter North and the second guy to Ron Jeremy or Steve French) that I really liked. There was then a photogallery and some trailers The other good extra was the 22.5 minute set of interviews taken largely on the last day of the shoot. I'm again tempted to list the disclaimer at the front of the movie as an extra as it was hilarious too but you can see what I mean on your own. Audio/Video Quality: The Girl Next Door was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame as shot by an uncredited director for Shane's World. If you've ever watched any of their titles not credited, you'll know that the quality of their work can vary considerably but it's also one of my pet peeves considering that knowing who directs something allows a consumer to have some basic information to guide their purchase. That's one of the reasons why I appreciate knowing when they use Penny Flame, Tim Von Swine, or Devinn Lane, as each has their own style and capability in providing a unique look. This time, the lighting and editing were pretty good, eliminating the grain, video noise, and other issues related to lighting. There were a lot of silly parts that I'm glad weren't edited out as they made it more fun to watch. The composition of the shots wasn't always designed to enhance the looks of the ladies and make them appear as hot as possible but considering who was up to the plate as female talent (Casey, Roxy, Kinzie, and Eva); no enhancement was really needed. The double DVD set showed no compression artifacts or mastering issues and looked like a great release overall for the company (shame I can't credit anyone as director for it). The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English and unlike many other releases by the company, the vocals were almost always easy to hear with no real separation noticed or major dynamic range to speak of but substantially better than some of the noisy party titles the company puts out.

Body of Review: Shane's World is one of the rare companies that tries something different with what they release these days. While they may follow certain formulas in their various series, you are not likely to find them doing a "three position and pop" style title any time soon. Their big movie of the year is called The Girl Next Door, a road trip movie used to introduce newcomer Casey Parker to porn as a contract performer for the company. It was a great deal of fun and seemed to be offered up just a bit too late for award consideration (AVN awards at least) though fans of the company's previous works will likely find this hot. The back cover said it like this: "We got a video letter from a girl in Colorado. She told us that she loved our movies and wanted to join in the fun! When we watched it, we immediately fell in love. We flew her out to have sex with another girl. She had a blast and headed home to Colorado to think about her life. We couldn't stop thinking about her. So we took a road trip with Johnny Castle and Roxy Deville to go get Casey and bring her to new home with Shane's World in Los Angeles. When she gets back all the Shane's World regulars were there to welcome her with open arms and the partying began! We're proud to introduce you to the ultimate girl next door, Casey Parker." If you're not ordering it right now from that description, here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used:

Scene One: Roxy DeVille, a hot brunette with the kind of sex drive always welcome at my house, was up first in a scene in the bedroom with Johnny Castle as Casey Parker watched. She was trying to convince Casey to come to back to Los Angeles so she gave a firsthand demonstration. Johnny may not be one of the largest endowed guys in porn but he has a look that women seem to love (the youthful, cut, bad boy kind of guy) and Roxy went right to jerking him off to get him ready. That led to a bit of power sucking that had his breathing rate elevated to the point where I thought he was going to lose his load early, Roxy playfully backing down to keep him at attention. She then climbed on top of him and actively rode his shaft, giving the viewer the perfect view of her delightful ass in motion as she impaled herself on him rapidly. If casey wasn't wet by this point, she would've been dead and several positions later (all of them well handled), he busted a nut on her abdomen. It was a great starting scene even if his load was light.

Scene Two: Roxy Deville, still on the prowl for cock, was up next in Casey's bed (while she was hanging out with Johnny) with her roommate Bruce. He might have been a geeky looking guy but she took a shine to his man ass and let him play with her before jerking him off as part of her plan to get him on her side to convince Casey to join Shane's World. Scene Three: Casey Parker, the hotty on the front DVD cover, was finally up next as she played with Roxy DeVille in bed. Roxy was really into her, nearly as much as she was in the other scenes, savoring the inexperienced girl as a treat to corrupt. I liked how the gals rubbed against one another (scissors mode) and they seemed to enjoy the taste of pussy as though each had been doing this a very long time but the limited confines of the room got in the way of the camera and Roxy's "orgasm", even if real, came across as fake thanks to the over the top manner she gave it up in. Still, they had some chemistry together that went beyond Roxy's naturally predatory style and the replay value was better than average for a lipstick lesbian scene from Shane's World.

Scene Four: Eva Angelina, after a short bit of masturbating in the tanning bed, was up next as she bathed in the large tub; using the running water to excite her some more. Will Powers joined her on the edge of the tub to go down on her cookie, getting a short hummer in return by the cute brunette. They took the show to the bedroom where they screwed with a decent sense of abandon, her riding him pretty hard (though the dirty talk was intermittent at best). After a few positions, he popped a moderate load onto her breasts and she playfully giggled at the thought of her "reservoir" of cum, moving back to the main action of getting Casey back to LA.

Scene Five: Casey Parker, acting like a sleepy head when woken up, stumbled into her clothing on Day Two, when Johnny Castle came to get her. Everyone was on a short fuse due to the unscheduled road trip since Casey wouldn't fly; resulting in the couple jumping into bed at the end of the day to relieve some of the tension between them (I wish Roxy had joined in as well). Her oral was the slow kind of hummer you'd expect from a GFE (girl friend experience) type of scene and while her vaginal riding skill was unpolished, she showed a lot of potential as she impaled herself like a seasoned veteran. She did most of the work and while it seemed slightly mechanical in nature, with some experience, she'll fit right into the porn industry. The load went to her abdomen and it wasn't a bad pop though she shied away from any post coital sucking.

Scene Six: Nadia Styles, sporting ner new breast augmentation, was up next with Jack Venice as the others partied to celebrate the settling in (a month late) of Casey. He ate her out and she was into having sex with him, even though he took awhile to get fully erect. Her oral was one of the highlights of the movie as she showed the others who was the oral queen of this flick. The oral was great but she rode him like she was trying to beat out Roxy's excellent work from earlier in the movie, aggressively taking to the meat pipe as though she had something to prove (practically begging him to fuck her). She was vocal, playful and showed the kind of chemistry with him that many of her peers can only imitate. Living room sex should always be this good, with the titty pop closing it out and her tasting it.

Scene Seven: Kinzie Kenner, one of the most attractive ladies in porn these days, had the final scene with a newcomer named Justice Young after more of the traveling footage where Johnny picked up a blindfolded Casey to go to the party. Kinzie's sundress left little to the imagination, Justice going down on her in front of the others as they ate some cake. She gave him some good head in return, resulting in yet another active ride before the mouth pop. If you've ever seen Kinzie in action, you'll know how to fill in the blanks as she gave it up in the best of ways before Casey went skydiving as part of a silly stunt (remember, this was the lady that was afraid to fly to LA now jumping out of a freaking crop duster).

Summary: The Girl Next Door by Shane's World was jam packed with some excellent and fun sex but also served as a great road trip and documentary DVD set. In terms of fuck for the buck, replay and stroke value, and a cast of ladies that truly made it enjoyable to watch every minute (Roxy was the star to me for her sexual and non-sexual work but Casey was indeed a treasure in terms of freshness and the cute factor often missing in porn). For all it had to offer then, a rating of Highly Recommended was clearly warranted for The Girl Next Door, and it was greatly appreciated that they provided a balanced view of the road trip (Roxy had me howling with her complaining in the BTS feature, as did the others). Seeing them let their guard down made them more human in many ways and complimented the sex and good times nicely. Great work uncredited director!
