Extra's: I really liked the 18 minute Behind the Scenes feature as it gave a good look at the making of the movie plus some of the other titles being shot at the same time, concentrating largely on Sorority Sex Kittens 4. Another great extra for fans would be the Director's Commentary as it gave Jim a lot of chances to tell the fan what was going on during the shoot as well as some of the background anecdotes, along with Sydnee Steele and Shayla LaVeaux. There were also some minimal Star Bios, a trailers for Paradise Hole, Timeless, Brown Eyed Blondes, a photogallery, a bit on the multiple angles used, and a jump to the scene bit too.

Audio/Video Quality: Sorority Sex Kittens 5: Director's Long Cut was presented in the originally filmed 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by director Jim Holliday for VCA Pictures back in July 2000 (filmed at the same time as Sorority Sex Cam, Sorority Sex Kittens 4, and Ten Little Angels). The picture was crystal clear and had a wonderfully diverse cast as seen on the front DVD cover. The fleshtones were accurate thanks in large part to the flat and plentiful lighting, eliminating grain and other visual defects in a manner I wish contemporary companies would at least consider. This was another one of the early Holliday flicks that made great strides to cleaning up the picture and camerawork substantially and should be recognized as such. The audio was presented in the usual 2.0 Dolby Digital English but the vocals appeared to be looped in a few cases, the dialogue slightly wooden at times, and it sounded hollow less frequently than previous volumes in the series. The music was trademark Jim Holliday style with Reno & the Rumrunners as well as Huckleberry Hodad & his Bunch of Surfin' Buddies on backup duty. There was a slightly wider range of music here for those who care but the movie seemed to be more of an after thought or filler in between the other three movies made at the same time.

Body of Review: Jim Holliday might be best known for his sorority themed titles made at VCA Pictures but he had a lot of other specialty themes as well. Still, VCA called him back to the SSK series with Sorority Sex Kittens 5: Director's Long Cut, made concurrently with several other flicks including Sorority Sex Kittens 4. The back cover said it like this about the movie: "The best know and best selling Sorority in porn movie hi is back with a fifth installment. The charter pledge class at Nevada Cascade College has been through Hell Week and awaits formal initiation into Upsilon Sigma Sorority. The Sorority? Sex Kittens series has become legendary for the famous first-of-its-kind finishing scenes, but would you rather have one cluttered, elongated orgy for spectacle or two bristling-hot, more manageable raunchfests that provide maximum heat? With SSK-5, the proper choice was made for you." If you like lots of kinky sex and hot ladies, you'll appreciate this one a whole lot more than many contemporary movies made at the time. Here's a quick look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that there were no cast lists and even the commentary track didn't cover all of the ladies, with condoms employed in all the male driven scenes:

Scene One: Vivian Valentine/Phoenix Haight (the gal on the lower left hand corner), starting off before the credits rolled was a quick little scene with Steve Hatcher on a comforter on the lawn in the backyard. They skipped the vaginal to right to anal after some short oral, him doing most of the work. She was getting off (showing goose bumps) and ended the short scene with a facial followed by the credits.

Scene Two: Shayla LaVeaux (the gal featured on the upper left hand corner of the cover) and Sindee Coxx, two of the regulars in Jim's movies, had the first lesbian scene together as they licked, sucked, fingered, and used toys on each other on a couple of green couches. They did some rimming, and the toy looked like it was made of polished wood, with some of the foot fetish stuff for those who care.

Scene Three: Tiffany Mynx, the hotty on the middle of the right hand side of the front cover, was looking hot in her tank top and blue jean skirt as Devin Wolf ate her feet and felt her up. Warming her up in their first scene together (per the commentary), he moved up her body and she responded nicely. Her blowjob was too short but he did something slightly different, using her ass cheeks as a means of rubbing (without insertion) before taking her pussy in doggy style. She was aggressively pumping back and they tried a few more positions before they did anal with just as much heat. He coated her face and mouth with his seed, ending the heated pairing; one I wish they repeated more often thanks to their inherent chemistry.

Scene Four: Jessica Drake, Bunny Luv, Vivian Valentine/Phoenix Haight, Allysin Chaynes, Felecia, Envy, and the mighty Evan Stone, had a scene that started with the ladies doing a butt winking routine that had me laughing a hearty laugh. Once the ladies finished, Vivian and Evan went to bed where they sucked feet, gave each other head, and then screwed like maniacs. The anal was pretty good but I still preferred the way she rode him vaginally, both getting sweaty as could be before the ultimate ending of the scene with the facial.

Scene Five: Keri Windsor, one of the stars of yesteryear with blonde hair, and Envy, the gal on the lower right hand corner of the front cover, were up next in the bedroom with some of the standard lesbian antics. Fans of foot fetish material will appreciate just how much they ladies were showing love for each other but the licking didn't stop as they teased one another and went higher. There were some toys used but even the strap on dildo was pretty hot here.

Scene Six: Barrett Moore, Chyna Storm/Diana Devoe, Tina Cheri, Vivian Valentine/Phoenix Haight, Envy, and the mighty Evan Stone, were up next as the ladies had the man blindfolded and worked him over like crazy; alternating between sucking him off, feeling him up, and using his tongue for pleasure. This reverse gang bang had all the gals taking a turn on his cock as well, ending with a pop shot to their hands so they could all get a little bit of his population pudding.

Scene Seven: Sydnee Steele, Felecia, Tanya Danielle, Bionca, Sindee Coxx, Tiffany Mynx, Shayla LaVeaux, and at least one r two more ladies were all up in a smaller version of one of Jim's infamous lesbian orgies. There was a lot of oral, toys, licking, and all sorts of playful antics as expected from the Holliday flick. The cameramen loved Felecia the most, (maybe it was the editor) and the use of the floor was pretty inspired as it gave them the leverage needed to have a lot of kicks. Fans of rimming and anal toy use will appreciate the action a lot.

Summary: Sorority Sex Kittens 5: Director's Long Cut by director Jim Holliday for VCA Pictures was full of the same kind of sex, ladies, and technical values that made the series a winner in most circles; earning a rating of Recommended. The plot was lighter then usual but the sex scenes provided just the basics (still including lots of anal, foot play, and related tricks) and strokers will likely find Sorority Sex Kittens 5: Director's Long Cut to be a decent offering in the popular series nonetheless.
