Audio/Video Quality: Think Pink was presented in the originally filmed 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by director Jim Holliday for VCA Pictures back in August 2001 (filmed at the same time as Midnight Librarians). The picture was mostly clear and had a wonderfully diverse cast as seen on the front DVD cover. The fleshtones were accurate thanks in large part to the flat and plentiful lighting, eliminating grain and other visual defects in a manner I wish contemporary companies would at least consider. This was one of the mid-term Holliday flicks where some budget considerations came into play, coming off as decent looking but the best the man had to offer at this stage in his career. The audio was presented in the usual 2.0 Dolby Digital English but the vocals appeared to be looped in a few cases, the dialogue slightly wooden at times, and it sounded hollow less frequently than previous volumes in the series. The music was trademark Jim Holliday style with Reno & the Rumrunners. There was a slightly wider range of music here for those who care but the movie seemed to be more of an after thought or filler in between the other movie made at the same time.

Body of Review: Jim Holliday made plenty of good movies, maybe even great movies, for VCA Pictures but as he tried to creatively pull together his usual style of large casts by shooting multiple movies at once, some of the lesser efforts tended to get the short end of the stick. Such was the case with a light little fluff bunny flick called Think Pink. It had a few cameo appearances, including the legendary Ron Jeremy, but the plot was even lighter then usual (cutting too deeply hurt it in that sense), a number of scenes seemed tacked on or forced, and while it was still a fair minor effort, it simply didn't stack up compared to much of Jim's other releases of the time. The story was about a legendary surfer played by Jeremy but nothing was done with it so it didn't matter. Otherwise, here's a quick look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that condoms were used in the scenes:

Scene One: Summer Storm, the gal on the lower right hand corner of the front cover with dark hair and blonde highlights, was up first with Dillion Day. He had saved her from drowning and kept his hat on looking like a cancer patient, getting some decent head from her in bed. She then rode him vaginally, he rimmed her, and she moved to a slower anal (working her way up to it nicely though). I liked her all natural body but the bruises all over her legs and thighs made me feel uneasy for some reason. It was short and sweet action though as he popped out a facial and the credits rolled.

Scene Two: Belladonna, back when she was new in porn (with flowing black hair as seen on the middle of the right hand side of the cover), and other newbie, Bunny Luv (before she learned to hang out with Robby D. and direct, as seen just above Bella on the upper right hand side of the cover) had a short lesbian scene on a blanket in the warm sun together. They initially masturbated but their skimpy bikinis flew off and the oral began, but the scene ended almost before it started; making it more of a tease than usual.

Scene Three: Tanya Danielle (third from the left hand bottom with large implants), Felecia (second from the left hand bottom), and lovely Holly Hollywood (second from the right hand bottom), were up next in a bed as they playfully gave a pink belly and butt. Holly was the hottest of the three but Felecia was the best at lesbian sex and Tanya was pretty good here too. There was the usual rimming, fingering, and pussy eating but the foot fetish, toys, and other Holliday staples were not present; making it kind of a lightweight version of his normal scenes.

Scene Four: Belladonna, arguably the most successful female performer of the movie by a substantial amount in career terms, and mighty Evan Stone, were up next outside on a blanket. They both gave excellent, though too short, head to one another, moving to an active vaginal romp and some very heted anal action as she rubbed her clit. He sucked her toe as he drilled her deep in the ass, resulting in a mouth pop to fade away. It was probably the best standard scene of the show in most ways.

Scene Five: Gauge, the tiny gal seen immediately beneath Joelean on the cover (second from the top, left hand side), was up next with Dillion Day, outside in the sun. He continued to wear his hat, perhaps warding off a sunburn on his bald head, as he went down on her as they lay on a blanket. He wasn't as skilled orally as Evan but he tried hard and she didn't seem to mind much. He also rimmed her before she took over to provide a sloppy blowjob used to ready his erection for the ride of his life. Say what you will about the gal but when she was into a scene, she really shined. The active vaginal gave way to a passive anal; Dillion coating her neck of all places.

Scene Six: Shayla LaVeaux (bottom left hand corner), Monica Mayhem (middle of the right hand side beneath Evan and Belladonna), and frisky Joelean (upper left hand corner), were up next in a lesbian scene that seemed more aggressive than most of the previous ones on a blanket outside under the sun. Monica's natural chest looked far more desirable than it does implanted, and Joelean has always been a hotty with matron of the arts Shayla always welcome in a scene as far as I'm concerned. It was oral and fingers only with limited variety but a pleasant way to pass the time.

Scene Seven: Jill Kelly, a hotty that needs no introduction in a Holliday movie (a good thing too since she was excluded from the cover), was up in a cameo role as "Perfect Pink" with the mighty Evan Stone, on a blanket spread out on the lawn by the hillside. He ate her and the two boned like old bed buddies returned to roost. The sex included an active vaginal ride before some equally heated anal (though less active) before the pop shot. It wasn't their strongest scene together but I admit to having a soft spot for both of them in any scene together.

Scene Eight: Tanya Danielle, the curviest gal of the cast thanks to modern surgical procedures, was up next in a masturbation scene that included a lot of toy use in her pussy and ass. I've always thought her implants at the time were way out of proportion with her frame but she did seem capable of providing some warmish solo action in the outdoor location. The scenery behind her was pleasing too but the light was fading fast and it looked like a tacked on filler scene.

Scene Nine: Allysin Chaynes, Calli Cox, Heather Lyn, Skarlet Fever, Chandler, Holly Hollywood, Belladonna, Joelean, and Gauge, were up last in a lesbian orgy that seemed like a light version of one of Holliday's classics. There was a lot of toe and foot sucking, pussy eating and butt licking, with Bella and Holly taking the lead roles. I could have used without the small flies buzzing about the pussies but in general, it was the kind of scene I've always liked about Holliday's movies, even if the dynamic seemed slower and less compelling than usual. The ladies were having fun and the action, while tamer than usual, was still worth a look or five; the gals looking enhanced by the outdoor lighting.

Summary: Think Pink by director Jim Holliday for VCA Pictures was not a tribute to the Pink Panther movies so much as a scaled down, low budget version of his usual works. The sex scenes often seemed shorter than usual, the ladies less into their roles, and it made me think that Jim was focusing his attention elsewhere when this was made; perhaps handing off many of his director duties to Evan or another assistant. In that sense, Think Pink was barely able to pull it together to make it worth a rating of Rent It, though there were some nice legacy performances and it was never bad, just not up to the usual standards set by magic Holliday usually brought to the small screen. Give it a look if you like the cast but if you don't, you won't be missing too much.
