Extra's: For many of you, the best extra will be the bonus scene between Carmen Hart and Myles Carmack from Manhunters. It was short and sweet but had a lot to offer so I described it below. Personally, I enjoyed the 17 minute long Behind the Scene feature by talented Red Ezra more but I already have the movie mentioned before (reviewed it too) and prefer unique extras in my movies. There was more sex, nudity, and short interviews as Red meandered around the sets of the flick, talking with cast and crew, spending a lot of time getting the inside scoop from director Randy; giving most of the crew a chance to participate (even the men). This led to numerous photogalleries (5) and Star Stats (3), the 2006 Promotional Reel, spam, DVD Catalog of Wicked Pictures titles, the usual DVD ROM material, and trailers to movies like The Visitors, Gossip, Eternity, Camp Cuddly Pines, Hook Ups, Curse Eternal, (but none for Fuck, Manhunters, or other new titles; curious...). There was also a cardboard protective sleeve on the DVD case and a double sided cover for those who care.

Audio/Video Quality: Naked Illusions was presented in the same 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen color if was shot in by director Randy Spears for Wicked Pictures. The lighting was well handled, limiting the grain and video noise, coming across a lot like many of the smaller dramas made by Randy's peer, Brad Armstrong. Francois Clousot as director of photography assisted on that score and even Jessica Drake took up a technical role as the family came to help make this a solid effort. The fleshtones were accurate, the composition of the angles made the lovely ladies look ever lovelier. There were some compression artifacts but they really weren't a big issue for me as infrequent as they were here. The audio was presented in 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround English track, or 2.0 Dolby Digital tracks in Spanish, German, Greek, French, or Italian. I'm not fluent enough in any of those languages to made definitive comments about them but they typically sounded funny to me; much like watching some of the old Godzilla movies from my childhood. The main track did have some separation between the channels but most of it appeared to be related to the musical score, which was very pleasantly handled; adding value and enhancing the mood of the movie more often then not.

Body of Review: Randy Spears is best known as one of the very best actor/performers in porn these days, showing more versatility in his abilities than almost any of his peers. Currently, he works a lot at Wicked Pictures, now making his splendid directorial debut for them with Naked Illusions. The movie is a murder mystery starring Brad Armstrong as a cocky, arrogant, cheating spouse of an illusionist who is relentlessly pursued by a detective seeking to establish his culpability in the murder of his wife. The cover put it like this: "Jonathan Graves (Brad Armstrong) is a charismatic, career magician who's made a few enemies amongst his fellow magicians. After murdering his cheating wife and framing her lover, he is double-crossed by his beautiful assistant Trisha (Carmen Hart) and lands in prison for his crimes. But, can a cold jail cell stop this master of illusions from disappearing into the dead of night?" It might not have been the best movie of the season by the company but it certainly showed Randy as an up and coming director that offers more than just his wood and acting skill to the mix. Here's a look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that condoms were used in all the scenes:

Scene One: Katie Morgan, a curvy cutie with flowing blonde hair and a kicking body, was up first as she cheated on her husband with his agent, Eric Masterson in the dressing room. Her form fitting dress enhanced her curves nicely and they macked out on the red couch before he went down on her during the applause of the show. He teased her and she admittedly overacted a bit but the intent was clear and the energy real enough between them. When her turn came up to blow him, she diddled herself as she slobbed his knob, warming up for a few positions of vaginal sex that she actively participated in. The pop came too soon (don't they always; real life and porn both?) onto her lower abdomen but it was a decidedly larger than average pop with the pair sharing some chemistry together.

Scene Two: Devon Michaels, one of the bustiest gals in porn thanks to modern science, was up next in her red dress used as the illusionist's assistant as she blew a sitting Brad Armstrong. They were in the shower and the non structured manner of the scene made her seem even more "cute and adorable" than her accent usually makes her. Summary: Naked Illusions by director Randy Spears for Wicked Pictures was well made in many ways. The use of Francois Clousot as director of photography insured that the movie would look nice, the script by Cash Markman helped the feature elements, and the performances by Brad, Carmen, and Frank were top notch to make Randy's debut effort for Wicked a well nice little movie to enjoy on all levels. It didn't hurt that lovely Carmen Hart had two scenes in the movie, another in the bonus section, and fun BTS extra to enjoy but my rating of Recommended for Naked Illusions was earned; showing plenty of potential for even more from the director so I hope he continues to work on his craft.
