Audio/Video Quality: P.O.V. For Your Eyes Only was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame as shot by director Marco Banderas/Duato for release by Tightfit Productions. This was the first time I've seen one of his directorial efforts, I think it was his second release (the first on Mercenary Pictures), and in large part, he did a decent job. The title advertises point of view (POV) camera angles and all the scenes had some of that incorporated into them, though I would have preferred they also be displayed in anamorphic widescreen given the extensive labels about being shot in true high definition. Still, the colors and fleshtones were accurate, the lighting handled fairly well, and the camera angles tended to be complimentary to the ladies, with the POV work standing out as pretty solid. The editing was not the best I've seen, far from it, and some of the scenes really needed to be tightened up, but as an early effort by a meat puppet director, it wasn't bad on the eyes. The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital English, sounding like the sound was all recorded on the built in microphones on the cameras so there was usually no separation between the channels and the dynamic range was minimal (as with most low budget porn), except when made that way in post production (in this case, the music was placed on the right channel and the vocals on the left). The thumping music was cheesy and distracting but I've heard worse.

Body of Review: Marco Banderas/Duato is one of the most popular meat puppets in porn these days, offering rugged good looks with a fit body that women seem to adore when I show them scenes with him in them. In recent months, he has taken to learning the art of directing, with his latest release coming from Tightfit Productions. The title was P.O.V. For Your Eyes Only, a point of view set of scenes that had Marco boning the ladies, often with the assistance of a friend. POV is not as big a craze these days as it was a year ago but there are a lot of fans out there that prefer strict POV titles (where you can't tell who the guy is) just as a lot more who appreciate maximizing the screen presence of the ladies while minimizing the men. That said, this was a surprisingly decent outing by Marco, enough to interest me in what else he has to offer. If you're still interested, here's a quick look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used at all:

Don't get me wrong; I thought Jasmine Byrne looked fabulous on the cover but the image it conveyed to me was of an arty farty porno that would take forever to get me hard. While it had some rough edges, particularly the editing and a need for more tease and extras, the DVD earned a rating of Recommended based on the quality of the cast, the technical values overall, the levels of heat and energy, and the amount of fuck for the buck in terms of stroke and replay value. There was plenty going on that told me Marco might have a career on both sides of the camera, even if he'll need to work at it to really show he has what it takes to succeed. In short, P.O.V. For Your Eyes Only was different then the cover broadcast to me (I'm a seasoned porn consumer too) and I was happy that it had more to offer than I suspected based on the cover alone.
