Extra's: There was only a true double sided cover, a photogallery and trailers to movies like Altered Minds, Insexts, McKenzie Illustrated, McKenzie Made, Krystal Therapy, Ashton Asylum, Chanel No. 1, and others. I was disappointed that the DVD did not have the Behind the Scenes feature mentioned in the credits (that was shot by talented and comedic Dic Tracy) but it wasn't advertised on the DVD case or website so I did not detract any points for false advertising.

Audio/Video Quality: McKenzie Loves Pain was presented in the usual 1.85:1 ratio non-anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Ernest Greene for Club Jenna. The fact that the show revolved around the BDSM lifestyle and a dark dungeon alone should tell you that the picture was on the darker side and subject to all the issues arising from a relative lack of light. Personally, I think the mood would have been set better if filters were used to compensate for the lighting because the grain and video noise, while not terrible, were limitations to my enjoyment once again with this series. Otherwise, the director showed a solid knowledge of the subject at hand (much like he did in the recent award winning O: The Power of Submission that earned a spot on our recent Top Ten Women Porn List) and addressed the kink factors better than the usual bondage specialty movie would do. If you like bondage and have enjoyed many movies about it, you'll know how poorly made almost all of it is so this will definitely be several steps up from that but on the low side for more mainstream porn. The audio was presented in the 2.0 Dolby Digital English expected, with a moderate use of music to complement the vocals. The vocals did sound hollow at times and some of the music was repetitive but it wasn't the worst I've heard in recent weeks.

Body of Review: Ernest Greene has been something of an BDSM aficionado for a very long time and a man on a mission to educate folks on the joys of the niche via his movies. While he does not have a singular home at this time, some of his best work is for Club Jenna in the form of their Pain series, though he was recently graced with a top spot on the Top Ten Women Porn List for his Adam & Eve release of O: The Power of Submission. Well, his most recent flick is McKenzie Loves Pain, the thematic sequel to Jenna Loves Pain, made before the contract hotty took a break to have a kid. The basic idea was that McKenzie Lee wanted to learn about being a dominatrix and she went to the very best, Nina Hartley, to explore her darker side. The back cover said it like this: "When McKenzie visits Nina Hartley's personal dungeon, she gets all she bargained for and more. Nina puts her right into a punishing three-way with Justine Joli. She learns the lash: the stinging dressage, bondage and suspension...climaxing in an aerial strap-on fest with Justine swinging back and forth between two mistresses, fucking the lovely redhead into ecstasy! Later, senior submissive Ashley Nicole straps Justine into a steel chair, giving her a merciless working over with a powerful vibrator and an electrified probe! Scene One: McKenzie Lee, the hot English contract gal featured on the upper right hand corner of the front cover, was up first as a disciple of porn legend Nina Hartley, as Nina taught her how to refine her naturally dominant nature. This led to submissive Justine Joli, playing one of Nina's best slaves, entering the room as the practice target. Nina had on a blue PVC corset, McKenzie had on a black version, and Justine initially had on very little to get in the way of the floggings she was about to take. The vocals were on the low side but on a happy note, so was the droning music. The lesson on riding crops was kind of fun too, each taking a cheek to redden. Scene Two: Ashley/Adrianna Nicole, a curvy blonde (the cover and credits called her Adrianna while the back cover's text called her Ashley) dominatrix, was up next in the red tinted light of a dungeon as she tried to get Justine Joli to tell her everything she knew about the training session from the first part of the movie. This scene was a bit more advanced in that it used some electrical shock treatment along with a vibrator and some beatings to get the information required. It wasn't long enough and ended with Justine hanging upside down when McKenzie and Nina walked in and rescued Justine.

Scene Three: McKenzie Lee, now in charge of punishing Ashley/Adrianna Nicole, had her bound with rope and other devices used for nipple torture. Using some of the tricks she learned in the first part of the movie, McKenzie really showed her new charge what it was like to be the submissive; be it with clothespins, vibrators, or oral satisfaction. I found the part where a chained down Adrianna was donned with a large red strap on dildo for McKenzie to ride, resulting in a short but sweet ride. Summary: McKenzie Loves Pain by director Ernest Greene for Club Jenna was way too short for me with minimal fuck for the buck and lame extras but those of you used to paying top dollar for ratty looking S&M movies will consider this a big leap forward by comparison. I suspect that McKenzie was going to provide another scene before she left porn, but the reasoning as to why Nina or one of the others couldn't have provided a scene or two in her place to boost the value of the DVD is outside of my understanding so I ended up rating it as a Rent It. In short, while McKenzie Loves Pain had some stroke value that will be appreciated as authentic BDSM, there wasn't enough to do more than serve as a means to whet your appetite so use your own value scale to figure out if half a movie is worth full price.
