Extra's: The only real extra worth noting is the 38.5 minute Behind the Scenes feature on the second disc. Almost all of it was extra sex shot by Erik in POV style (deleted footage) or additional material shot by Jimmy Scaffnetti that showed Erik sweating up a storm as he porked the pretties. More sex is always appreciated and this was a solid offering in that sense that fans will appreciate as much as most regular scenes in a gonzo flick. There were two pop shot compilations from the scenes, a limited cast list, and a photogallery too but the BTS was the best of the bunch by far.

Audio/Video Quality: Anal POV 4: Special Edition was presented in a newly shot 1.85:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen as shot by director Erik Everhard for distribution by Jules Jordan Video (using Jimmy Scaffnetti in a cameo). The lighting was largely even and plentiful so there was not a lot of grain or other visual issues to complain about. The camera angles always favored the women, making them look as good as possible, though usually at the expense of Erik (I doubt any of you will complain about this fact though, especially since this is a point of view movie designed to allow a fan to project himself into Erik's shoes). The camera was largely steady and the editing kept poor footage at a minimum, making it one of the best looking releases by Erik in a very long time (the best if you care about details thanks to the anamorphic process that enhances the picture for widescreen televisions). I could quibble about minor matters (again) but in general; it was a fine looking show. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital enhanced English, with minimal separation between the channels but all the vocals meant to be heard were clearly discernable. There wasn't a lot of thumping music as others use and the sounds of the sexual activity were picked up nicely by the built in microphone on the camera. In short, the technical matters were very solid all around.

Body of Review: Erik Everhard has performed and directed all over the porn industry in recent years, showing that his style of hardcore boning is preferred to the romantic "two positions and a pop" features that have been losing favor in recent years to many folks. After breaking away from his last company (for a variety of reasons, including his desire for content control that his distributor would not allow him to have), he found himself at the top of the gonzo market with a distribution deal at Jules Jordan Video. There is reportedly no place a successful director will make more money than working with JJV in the business so now all he has to do is make the best movies he can and reap the rewards of his labor. His latest flick is the lengthy Anal POV 4: Special Edition (also titled Anal Prostitutes On Video #4, the sequel to the highly appreciated Anal POV #3. The idea behind the title is simplicity itself, Erik has hardcore gonzo sex with a variety of attractive ladies, including anal as a form of truth in advertising that some of his competition could learn from (all too often, companies imply that anal will take place and consumers get to find out the hard way that it isn't true). This time, there was over FIVE HOURS of material in the movie alone, with plenty more in the BTS feature on the second disc. As expected, that helped make this a winner of epic proportions but I'll give you more detail to go on since everyone has different needs. That said, here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used and that all the scenes were decent or better with no filler crud to speak of:

Scene One: Katsumi, the brunette Asian in dark blue undies on the middle of the right side of the front cover, was up first with an aching Erik Everhard, after Jimmy hooked him up with her therapeutic wonders as found in the local adult section of the newspaper. Erik is one of the best director/performers in the industry at this writing and rest assured that Anal POV 4: Special Edition, like Anal POV #3 before it, served as hardcore evidence to support this conclusion so unless you like watered down porn, pick up a copy to enjoy.
