Audio/Video Quality: Pigtails Round Asses was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by an uncredited director for release by Hundies as their first release under the banner of Pure Play Media. The camera work was initially jumpy and looked like an amateur shot it, zooming in too tightly and otherwise showing a lot of extraneous movement as the gals teased and had sex. The lighting was decent most of the time, limiting the grain and video noise as a result, but the fleshtones seemed slightly off in a few cases too. The DVD mastering showed no obvious edge enhancement or compression artifacts though so at least that aspect of it was decent. The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital English with no separation and limited dynamic range; the gals moaning repetitively and the music not a factor.

Body of Review: Watching movies released by new companies in porn is definitely a crap shoot given the inbreeding the industry promotes. If someone makes lame titles at one company and leaves to start his own place, who is to say the stuff they make for their own label will be any better? This is a problem I have with aliases and companies that don't credit their directors; the likelihood that the movie sucks goes up in reverse proportion to who is willing to assign their name to the title and take credit. That said, the first Hundies DVD I got in was Pigtails Round Asses, picking it up when I recognized that lovely Tiffany Rayne was gracing the cover. The movie is five separate scenes of gals in pigtails showing off their bountiful asses and pigtail hair styles before sucking and vaginally taking a cock. If the youth angle of the pigtails doesn't work for you, maybe the ass portion will as it did for me at times. Here's a quick look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used and that the men were not identified:

Scene One: Tiffany Rayne, the 19 year old blonde on the front cover, was the original reason I picked up this DVD. I wish she was still making porn but getting to see this scene of her in pigtails with a tiny pink skirt that showed off her "big round booty" as she put it was a blast from the past as she fingered herself before an abrupt edit had an uncredited guy banging her in doggy without warning after a brief blowjob. I've seen the mope before (just like I've heard the director's voice elsewhere) but he was average sized at best and while he pounded away at her pussy in numerous positions, there was no chemistry as she simply went on autopilot in the scene, giving repetitive vocals ("Ohh yeah" type of stuff) as she continually looked at the camera. She did provide some active riding at times but as much as I like seeing her in scenes, this was definitely one of her weaker efforts overall. Still, there was some stroke value and seeing as how she isn't making scene anymore, that alone elevated the value of the action for me. Scene Two: Alexa Von Tess, a skinny brunette 19 year old with a nice smile, was up next as she teased the camera and showed her reasonably round ass. I've seen this guy more often but he's still a fourth tier talent so forgive me for not placing his name (if I see it, I'll know who he is but there were no credits for the men anywhere). This scene ended with a more traditional facial that she did not shy away from, even if she did close her eyes.

Scene Three: Ava Rose, a very cute gal with a nice ass and legs, was up next as she followed the generic formula by teasing the camera at the bequest of the director (who sounded a lot like Tony T.) as the 20 year old discussed her green eyes with him. Summary: Pigtails Round Asses was distributed by Pure Play Media and while I've seen a lot worse from them in the past, Pigtails Round Asses was not one of their better efforts by any stretch of the imagination. There were numerous technical flaws, the cast largely seemed to be having off days, and the levels of heat, strokability, and replay value were below average to me but I generously gave it a rating of Rent It for the better material offered. Give it a look if you like any of the cast as much as I do but don't expect much or you're going to be disappointed.
