Extra's: Most people will appreciate the bonus scene between Julia Ann and Manuel Ferrara taken from Julia Ann: Hardcore the most. They made a decent pair and while the scene was certainly not as good as some from the movie itself, it added value to those of us that haven't seen it. I liked the 19 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Mark Stone more, but that was largely because of the focus on gals like Julia, Roxy, and Katja who all showed some humor and additional sex along with it (Francois was hilarious too). There were no awesome revelations by any of them but they were doing more than going through the motions too. There were also the usual photogalleries (7), the 2007 Promotional Reel, 4 Star Stats, spam, DVD Catalog of Wicked Pictures titles, the usual DVD ROM material, and trailers to movies like The Visitors, Gossip, Eternity, Camp Cuddly Pines, Hook Ups, Curse Eternal, (but none for Mobster's Ball, Fuck, Manhunters, or other new titles). There was also a cardboard protective sleeve on the DVD case and a double sided cover for those who care.

Audio/Video Quality: Around The World In Seven Days was presented in a letterboxed 1.78:1 widescreen color if was shot in by director Francois Clousot for Wicked Pictures. I would have preferred an anamorphically enhanced picture but even a company as well respected as Wicked Pictures sometimes drops the ball. The lighting seemed more natural than average for a porno, resulting in some grain, minor video noise, and shadows. The composition of the shots was good, enhancing the look of the ladies but sometimes showing too much propensity to move when a static shot would've worked better thematically. There were some compression artifacts but they really weren't a big issue for me as infrequent as they were here and the bitrate seemed to frequently hover in the upper 4 Mbps range so it could have looked worse. The audio was presented in 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround English track, or 2.0 Dolby Digital tracks in Spanish, German, Greek, French, or Italian. I'm not fluent enough in any of those languages to made definitive comments about them but they typically sounded funny to me; much like watching some of the old Kaiju movies from my childhood. The main track was showing a 384 Kbps bitrate (twice the normal rate for a porno) did have some separation between the channels but most of it appeared to be related to the musical score, which was very pleasantly handled; adding value and enhancing the mood of the movie more often then not.

Body of Review: Francois Clousot is currently known as one of the contract directors for Wicked Pictures; often assisting his peers at the company with making some of the best features in the business. Every once in awhile he is allowed to make a fuck flick of his own and he struck pay dirt with his latest release in the form of Around The World In Seven Days. The movies was a series of seven vignettes that showcased the lovely Julia Ann; a gal that has been making less movies as she slowly withdraws from working in front of the camera. As a fan of hers for years now, I appreciate that she brings a lot more to her scenes than the flavor of the month 18 year olds the industry seems to favor these days. As a result, I try to see what she puts out on DVD before her inevitable retirement. This time, the show had her trotting around the globe to have sex with numerous others, all but a couple of scenes featuring her at work. If that sounds as good to you as it did to me, here's a brief glimpse into the scenes by cast and action, noting that condoms were used in all scenes containing men:

Scene One: Julia Ann, the attractive gal on the front cover now sporting dark hair, was up first in a scene centering on a French kitchen with Ian Scott. She was in a black and white striped outfit that hugged her curves nicely and he was dressed up like a chef. Neither of them kept their clothing on for long and the relative lack of vocals compared to the music was slightly annoying but the music was at least fitting to the theme as he ate her out and she slobbed his knob in return. There wasn't much to the scene than a few positions and the lighting made the colors too saturated but she did look good and the ending pop shot, while minimal, wasn't too badly placed.

Scene Two: Katja Kassin, the German anal queen, was up next on a snowy set dressed as a Russian military officer while fur covered Julia Ann came up behind her to show some passion for the Red Square reject. Scene Three: Julia Ann, this time on safari in the wilds of Africa, played a hunt and chase game with a Zulu warrior in the form of Mr. Marcus. The comedic aspect of the scenario was pretty high and I'll be surprised if some yahoo doesn't start whining about the racist theme or how Julia is only doing him to keep from being called a dodger but the two definitely had some serious chemistry going on and the heat was elevated because of it. Sexually speaking, the scene was pretty similar to some of the other scenes of the movie but the added energy when she was blowing him or actively riding his cock made this bout of boning worthy of both these legends of porn. The glimmer in her eye spoke volumes as to how much she liked him and he ravaged her aggressively as he worked her over vaginally. It was a decidedly sultrier lesbian scene than the one with Katja earlier, the gals taking their time as the pair slowly worked each other over orally and with numerous caresses. Personally, the weakest part for me was the white face make up they wore but it still proved strokable considering the way they worked together.

Scene Five: Jenaveve Jolie, playing a sexy belly dancer in the Middle East, was up next with sheik Brad Armstrong, as she wiggled herself silly in a sexy harem outfit. Her ass stood out really well and as the clothing dropped, other things rose with the lady proving to be a nice addition to the central traveling sex show dynamic. Her knob slobbing act was sweet and the slurping noises elevated it to my liking, the gal proving to be an exceptional sword swallower before she actively rode his dick in her tight Latina pussy. I wasn't keen on the overly saturated colors but the heat between the couple was even more striking than that of the previous scene and nearly equal to that of the third scene so I can safely say it was well done in performance terms; the ending facial coating her. Summary: Around The World In Seven Days by director Francois Clousot for Wicked Pictures was worth a rating of Recommended to me for the chemistry several scenes offered, the heat generated, and the lovely cast led by gracefully appealing Julia Ann. The strokability and replay value were definitely well worth the ride and the level of fuck for the buck supported my decision as well as the plentiful extras did. In short, Around The World In Seven Days was a movie that fans of the leading lady will find ripe with value so check it out.
