Extra's: The best extra from my standpoint was the 13:39 minute Behind the Scenes feature by Jason Silver that included much of the cast goofing off and either getting ready for their scenes or having some sex in between interviews. It was playful and fun but not all that it could have been (and I wished they added the names for everyone, not just a limited few but it sure helped identify some of the males). There was also a pop shot compilation from the scenes, some trailers, a photogallery, some spam and a true second side to the DVD cover.

Audio/Video Quality: The MILF Chronicles was presented in 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Jim Powers for Sin City. It was among the best looking movies he has shot of late; well handled on technical levels with the lighting eliminating grain, video noise, and other minor issues. Part of this was thanks to the theme of the show; scenes done in dream sequences at night much of the time, but it was a step up from his last title on DVD. I saw no compression artifacts (though the bitrate for the video was often well below 3 Mbps) and the flesh tones were accurate, making most of the scenes look relatively good by comparison to previous works of this type by Jim. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English (at a bitrate of 192 Kbps) and sounded similar to his other recent works; never straying too far from the formula he feels comfortable with. The vocals were hollow at times, rarely sounding properly captured for the movie. The use of interesting music wasn't a problem but as expected, it was dubbed in later and as a result the rhythms weren't always quite in synch with the sex; thankfully though, the music wasn't a huge factor in the movie.

Body of Review: Jim Powers is one of the best kept secrets in porn these days; rarely getting many accolades for his body of work until earlier this year. His work for Sin City might not be his most hardcore but he still seems able to showcase his subjects very well under limited budgetary considerations, as he has in his latest release for them called The MILF Chronicles. The story was about a predatory female teacher taking advantage of her libido and position to have sex with students, faced by a stern mother in the form of Kristal Summers. It all works out in the end with everyone getting off but the plot was minimal so you need not worry much about it. The back cover said it like this: "You know that hot looking college professor that lives down the block? The one with the long legs and the full luscious breasts? Well, she's got a dirty little secret. Sin City presents the story of a sexually frustrated woman whose girlfriend has turned her on to the naughty pleasures of fucking the student body. Soon, she's luring hot young college studs from the classroom to the bedroom to participate in her perverted extra curricular activities. The late night oral examinations, the scorching hot 3 way encounters all lead up to an all out after school orgy that will have the neighbors gossiping for years." If that sounds interesting to you, here's a brief breakdown of the scenes by cast and action, noting that the credits were minimal this time and no condoms were used:

Scene One: Darryl Hanah, a woman that looks slightly like her mainstream counterpart all grown up, was up first playing a mother needing muscle power of two skateboarders goofing off in front of her house to move some furniture. Once they were through, she offered them a drink, bringing Johnny Sins and CJ Ryder a refreshing beverage in her skimpy bikini underwear in the living room. The majority of the scene was strictly oral, vaginal, and anal sex with some limited tease and screaming going on before the ending facials. The scene was at night on the couches by a fireplace, never getting too out of hand and closing with the ladies cumswapping happily into the sunset.

Summary: The MILF Chronicles by director Jim Powers for Sin City was a title focusing on the "Mothers I'd Like To Fuck" genre very nicely, earning a rating of Recommended in the process. The scenes were contrived at times and the dialogue stilted but the action typically showed the ladies ready, willing, and able to work with some third tier mopers to the best of their ability; providing some decent replay and stroke value for the viewer. In that sense, the minor issues with the technical matters and limited extras were not huge factors so if you like seeing older gals having fun, The MILF Chronicles should be on your list of titles to pick up.
