Extra's: I liked the masturbation/tease scenes by all of the ladies the best. Each got a chance to play and while they weren't as long as I would have liked, each showed their own style at pleasuring oneself. The scenes didn't last long enough to make them prime stroke fodder but they were a nice extra that seldom gets discussed by reviewers so check them out if you get the chance (they ranged from about 2.5 minutes to slightly over 4 minutes). I also appreciated the 16:40 minute long Behind the Scenes by Mike Hunt (and edited by Crawdaddy himself as "Mr. Sleazey"). There was a combination of interview footage, photogallery material, and more sex; making it quite worth checking out in my book. The two Easter eggs were cute as well, even if they focused mainly on Derrick Pierce's issues, too. There was also a photogallery, a double sided DVD cover, hotshots, and trailers to a variety of shows like Pass the Creme, Ass Factor, Sick Girls Need Sick Boys, Fine Ass Bitches, Double Parked, Off The Rack.

Audio/Video Quality: Slave To The Grind was presented in the surprisingly pleasant 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director David Lord for release by DVSX. The anamorphic process alone was likely enough to make this one look better on your higher end systems but the picture seemed decent most of the time; proving the mid 6 Mbps bitrate was enough to convey the picture as well as it could be. There was little grain and no video noise to speak of, though the first scene was greatly oversaturated (looking really red). Still, the composition of the shots always seemed to enhance the look of the ladies, though there were a few moments that could've used polishing up with the editing but overall, the visuals were okay and did not make the project any less strokable for me. The audio was presented in the standard 2.0 Dolby Digital enhanced English with a 192 Kbps bitrate, with the vocals captured by the built in microphone on the camera. The vocals were hollow in most cases and struck me as the weak link of the technical chain for the production.

Body of Review: David Lord has been in porn for a long time now and after some minor difficulties awhile back, he ended up directing for the nice folks at DVSX. His budgets are not really in line with the productions he used to assist on at Wicked Pictures but the sex is certainly more strokable to the majority of people probably reading this review, including lots of sex acts in his movies that couples are unlikely to appreciate. His latest release is Slave To The Grind; a set of five scenes that had nothing to do with the workplace. There was a light BDSM theme in each of the scenes with some kink added in using role playing. If you like one party to a scene dominating the other, you will find a lot to appreciate here, most of the scenes providing solid stroke material. If you are still interested, here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used and all the sex was consensual between the adult performers:

Scene One: Fit To Be Tied: Regan Reese, a dyky looking brunette with large implants not seen on the front cover, was up first as she was tied to a post and made to obey the orders of moper Jenner. The darkness of the dungeon styled setting and red lighting used to convey the images was not my favorite way to go here but it did seem to suit her personality and the scenario. Like all the scenes, there was some rough sex going on, like choking, spanking, hair pulling, and similar actions. The blowjob was sloppy and led to her drool going all over the place, Jenner throatfucking her soundly before he started drilling her passive pussy. This worked for her and she then actively rode his cock, pumping up and down on it when on his lap. Some of the other positions were not so well handled but she never shied away from the mouth pop, even though most of it missed her. The scene ended when she licked up some of his population pudding that missed her mouth, ending a fair scene but certainly not the best of the movie.

Scene Two: Are You Ready For Me?: Christina Aguchi, the lean Asian gal spotted on the upper middle of the front DVD cover, was up next as she found herself bound to a chair in black fetish garb. Derrick Pierce walked over to her in the living room setting and I was happy to see the lighting was mostly turned back on to allow for a better picture. She squirmed in her bonds and seemed uncomfortable; Derrick threatening her with a flogger as he slowly showed her who the boss was. She wouldn't let him dive right in so much as made sure he would follow her lead, the cunnilingus he offered her coming across as slightly weaker than average while she played traffic cop with his affections. They continued on the couch and she eventually decided to give him a treat, straddling him in a 69 where she made it clear that he could be rewarded or punished depending on how solid a job he did on her. Scene Four: Freedom Isn't Free: Eva Angelina, the other hotty Latina featured on the front cover (on the lower right hand corner in red panties), was up next in another role reversal with Derrick Pierce wearing a gay leather fetish device on his chest. Scene Five: Girls On Film: Allison Pierce, a masked blonde wearing a mask, was up last as she was the toy of Justin Mangum in the living room setting. The initial footage had me worried it would be shot on low grade 8mm film but the video quality came forth soon enough, the man giving her instructions as to how he wanted her to suck him off. She gave an okay hummer and was decent in the riding portion of the scene (though the way she kept calling him "mister" was creepy) but even the rougher stuff here seemed staged. Her ability to convince that she was subordinate to him was lacking and out of all the scenes, this was anticlimactic for me. It did have anal for those who care but that didn't matter to me since she was largely passive while taking it in her ass. They were both coated in sweat at the end of the scene, Justin popping the smallest nut of the day into and around her mouth.

Summary: Slave To The Grind by director David Lord for release by DVSX was a title I found easy to rate as Recommended. The levels of fuck for the buck were high thanks to some great strokability and replay value derived largely from the three really good scenes and the fourth being well worth repeated play. The fifth scene was lacking for me but the extras and technical values on most of the movie sure made Slave To The Grind a good stroke flick for proving Crawdaddy still has the touch. If you find role playing, choking, or other such antics to be too much for you to handle, by all means pass this one up but it was otherwise a nice change of pace you should enjoy.
