Extra's: The extras were not plentiful this time as the photogallery was short (under 5 minutes) and the popshot compilation from the scenes was nothing special but after over four hours of great material, there was also a wonderfully appealing Behind the Scenes feature lasting 47:45 minutes. It had some of the photoshoot footage expected and some fooling around but it was the extra sexual conduct that really worked for me. The gals were smiling and having a ball even when they weren't cognizant of the camera rolling; proving some of the comments I had made about chemistry, energy, passion, and heat. I have seen a few better than this one but not by a whole lot, at least lately, so you should make sure you check it out when you get the movie (and you will want to).

Audio/Video Quality: Semen Sippers 6 was presented in 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen as originally shot by director Mike John for distribution by Jules Jordan Video. The lighting was presented in a very pleasing manner that lit up the action in the scenes very well, limiting the grain and video noise a lot, and I appreciate that the anamorphic processing was employed on the scenes for those of us in the growing legion of HD and widescreen TV's to appreciate. There were a few scenes where things weren't quite as good but that was almost certainly due to the skill level of the talent given Mike's manner of coaxing out fine performances from almost everyone but the same could be said of the lighting that wasn't always perfect either. So, in the scenes where the lighting was flat and stronger; the picture was good and the minor tint or other issues were decidedly not worth worrying about. The grain and video noise were both lots better than usual; marking a positive visual improvement by Mike (not needing any assistance on camera this time either) that was complimented by the compositional work he offered up that repeatedly enhanced the look of the cast. There were no noticed compression artifacts (the bitrate hovered around mid 5 Mbps but it still looked really good in most cases) and while the picture wasn't the best gonzo I've seen from the director, it was close (and the technical matters never hampered the heat in the slightest; always adding to the scenes in fact). I still wonder what future releases using one of the true high definition formats (Blu-Ray or HD-DVD) will do for the quality of the picture given his recent improvements over past works though. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English offering in 192 Kbps bitrate that had some separation in terms of the vocals (there was some potential to do more here too but I'm not greedy with improvements). The dynamic range was also kind of generic, an area that seemed slightly better than previous efforts and an area that Mike could easily improve to make best use of the great many home theatres in the hands of porn fans everywhere.

Body of Review: Mike John is probably best known as one of the reigning point of view (POV) gonzo directing experts that can transform otherwise mediocre performers into dynamos of sexual energy by some means not made public. This isn't always the case but when he strikes gold, he really hits it hard so I was pleased when he ended up being distributed by Jules Jordan Video last year. His latest double disc release is Semen Sippers 6: Special Edition Set, the sequel to Semen Sippers 5 where Mike gathered a horde of hotties that were not afraid of getting messy with population pudding after lengthy bouts of heated sex. The sixth volume of the series lasted over four hours and had nearly another hour of extras for the value conscious out there but the best news is that with minor quirks, the quality angle of the sex was even better this time, showing a lot of thought going into putting the right people together. That said, here's a quick look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used here:

Scene One: Amy Ried, the curvy hotty seen on the lower right hand corner of the front cover, was up first on the stairs inside the house, wearing skimpy panties, a short skirt, a matching top and stripper shoes. She teased a bit to give a great view of what we all want to see and her solo act included the use of a bright pink anal plug to start stretching her ass for the coming action with Erik Everhard. Summary: Semen Sippers 6 by director Mike John for distribution by Jules Jordan Video was extremely high in quality and quantity, the ladies all showing a lot of enthusiasm and energy above and beyond the call of booty...err, I mean duty. I would have enjoyed more extras and a little more polishing up of the technical values but this was about as close to a collector rating as someone has come without actually achieving it, meriting a very Highly Recommended instead. The fuck for the buck, replayability, stroke value, and other factors going into the movie all made Semen Sippers 6: Special Edition Set a lot better than Semen Sippers 5 and you can't go wrong if you like your gonzo with a slight edge but few of the wacky circus acts some directors rely on in place of heated pairings like this one. Good job!
