Extra's: There was some nice improvement this time with a 12:11 minute Behind the Scenes feature to start things off. It showed Red Ezra on camera during one of the shoots (uncredited), Dic talking to the ladies, some of the gals goofing off or getting their make up down, and extra nudity. I'd rather it have been longer but it was a nice change from the last release in the series. Even better were the two solo masturbation scenes; one by Veronica Stone (8:17 minutes), and the other by Brooke Banner (12:25 minutes; though I'm still curious why she added the last name after doing so many scenes without it). Both had a soft glow to them, the equivalent of using airbrushing on a still photograph, but were solid extras for the fans. There was also a true double sided cover, a photogallery and trailers to movies like Janine Loves Jenna, Club Jenna's Casting Couch 1, Altered Minds, Insexts, McKenzie Illustrated, McKenzie Made, Krystal Therapy, Ashton Asylum, Chanel No. 1, and others.

Audio/Video Quality: Club Jenna's Casting Couch 2 was presented in a non-anamorphic widescreen color with a ratio of ~1.78:1 by director Dic Tracy for Club Jenna. The specific dates of the individual scenes were not disclosed but given the look of some of the ladies, I'd be surprised if some of them weren't taken before the production date on the box cover. I also got the impression that the letterboxed scenes were originally shot in full frame and then converted after the fact but you can check on that fact yourselves. Most of the scenes showed some rudimentary flaws on the technical aspects, almost as if they were truly shot as test scenes to never be released, but the overall quality of the lighting, camera work, and processing (such as editing) wasn't bad if they were trying for a low budget look to the action. The lighting could have been stronger to eliminate the saturated look of the action and the multitude of shadows but I like enough of the ladies here on multiple levels to acknowledge that this is a personal preference more than anything. The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital English with a 192 Kbps transfer rate. It sounded too low and hollow, almost as if the microphone used was the one on the camera in the scenes. In all, the music was bland and this was still an area needing a great deal more work in future volumes.

Body of Review: Dic Tracy has been a behind the scenes production assistant for a long time in porn; the rare glimpses of him in productions showing a funny, articulate guy that helps motivate people and make sets easier to deal with. His recent work for Club Jenna is no exception and even his directing attempts have been interesting; today's review of Club Jenna's Casting Couch 2, the follow up to Club Jenna's Casting Couch 1, proving his growing skill in this aspect of his career. The idea was that the company was interviewing ladies for possible contracts, the caveat being that none of them received one, with some interview material and sex to sweeten the deal for the viewer. While the dynamic was probably as real as most reality TV, it was still fun and perhaps a future volume will show one of the gals that actually received such a contract, adding to the dynamic a bit as a result. The cover said it like this: "Gonzo cums unglued. On the heels of Club Jenna's last foray into hilarious hedonism comes a sequel poised to outsex the original. The breakout success of our latest series Club Jenna's Casting Couch by Dic Tracy, sucked in viewers by putting a zany twist on gonzo sex. This volume of the series showed improvement on all but the technical values so I liked it more, the fun factor higher than ever as the show provided some humor with the heated sex. Here's a quick look at the scenes, noting that no condoms were used:

Scene One: Penny Flame, my personal favorite gal of the movie as featured on the lower right hand corner of the front cover, was up first in a short but funny interview with Dic before taking on Jack Lawrence. The weird thing about this scene conceptually was that she was also the lead scene in Club Jenna's Casting Couch 1, kind of weakening the idea that this was her first such audition (and even then, she claimed to be in the industry for years before this one). In any case, the soft glow look of her solo action and sultry nature were catered to better than her wilder, goofier side as seen in some of her work for Shane's World before they went their separate ways; a side I have appreciated nearly as much. Jack ate her out and she blew him, the two clearly performing but seeming to have some fun as well. Yeah, it was over the top at times but almost like a form of sexual Olympics, the two gave a good show of athleticism that made up for her unwillingness to make pancakes for her bed buddies. Her begging, almost pleading mannerisms while sucking his cock sent a chill up my spine, the active ride making the scene a winner no matter how many others she provided them in the past. Avy, on the other hand, gave a wonderfully messy hummer with a lot of enthusiasm; looking like she was ignoring him as she swallowed his moderate member with ease. The Spanish gal might not be a classic beauty but she'd look pretty hot on the end of my cock so I'm not going to split hairs. Scene Four: Sophia, the curvy gal on the middle of the front DVD cover, was up next as she affected her baby talk persona, claiming to enjoy sex a lot more than accounting and getting into porn because of her need for excitement. Her sexual antics were slower and more seductive, the woman savoring the experience as she diddled herself and then took on third tier meat puppet TJ Cummings. Whether this was a performance or not, it seemed more realistic and that made the scene a winner in my book, although her riding skills were definitely active only when she was on top so it wasn't as strong as some of the other scenes in the movie. Scene Five: Veronica Stone, the lean 20 year old Californian from Sherman Oaks, was up last as she claimed to be in the industry for a year and a half. Okay, she had a big nose but with long legs like hers (not to mention a great body), I doubt many of you will care. The audio seemed to cut way down during the interview (right after the animated comment about how baked she was) and ended soon after that, moving right to her work with muscular Reno in another room. Summary: Club Jenna's Casting Couch 2 by director Dic Tracy for Club Jenna was a lot of fun and showed some really solid sex scenes by a plethora of pussy that provided a lot of stroke and replay value. The extras were improved upon substantially and while I would have greatly preferred seeing the action with less of a surreal look to it (and in anamorphic widescreen), the cameras did a decent job of capturing the action in each of the five scenes. The animated quips also added some fun (like the bits seen on the show Blind Date or in some of Digital Playground's comedy series) and the sense of humor about the show permeated the entire production. For all this, I was hesitant to rate DVD as anything higher than Recommended because of the picture and audio components but I could see why many of you will really like Club Jenna's Casting Couch 2 more than the also fun Club Jenna's Casting Couch 1.
