Extra's: The best extra was easily the 13:08 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by lovely Shay Jordan as the BTS reporter (and edited by Shy-Halewd). Shay seemed to have a lot of fun in her role and there were a lot of silly humor clips (as expected) with sound effects, animations, and more sex (as well as some silly nods to Robby being a pervert). There was also a photogallery, a pop shot compilation from the scenes, as well as a slide show, and 21 trailers for movies such as Pirates 2, Pirates, Jack's Playground 32, Deeper 4, Teagan's Juice, Island Fever 4, My First Porn 7, Teen America 17, Virtual Sex: Teagan Presley, Virtual Sex: Jesse Jane, Virtual Sex: Nikki Hunter, and Virtual Sex: Sophia Santi.

Audio/Video Quality: Hannah Harper: Sexual Freak 5 was presented in 1.77:1 anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Robby D. for release by Digital Playground. The lighting was solid here as expected and that meant that the limited amounts of grain and other visual elements used to lend a sense of texture were minimal. It took me awhile to notice it but there seemed to be a variation in styles as to how the scenes were shot and edited, some of the scenes using a lot more close ups while others relying heavily on slower and pulled back medium shots. I like a change of pace though some of it still struck me as a work in progress at times, usually not getting in the way of the heat and at other times enhancing it somewhat. The composition of the shots and the editing enhanced the look of the ladies more than a little bit too, proving what this critic has to say about the production team led by Robby (including Kurt "Raw Heat" Tortcher and Nick "Maestro" P.) with the DVD mastering revealing no compression artifacts (the visual bitrate hovering in the mid 7 Mbps range most of the time). The audio was presented in a 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround English (448 Kbps bitrate) with a minimalist leaning that seemed unique in most ways to productions outside of the Jack series, with the vocals always dominating the audio track as I like it.

Body of Review: Robby D. has done such a major overhaul of Digital Playground in recent years as he has led them to embrace the gonzo format increasingly more often (not just with his Handheld Pictures titles either) than any of their critics have accepted that I wonder if those of you who haven't seen any of their latest efforts realize the extent of the changes. This once haven for couples fuck flicks might still offer such titles from time to time but now that they have taken a turn on the darker side, they have shown that the diversity they offer caters to a much wider audience. This was the case with Hannah Harper: Sexual Freak 5, the latest title in the series to showcase a gal of beauty and sexual skill. Rumors have bounced around the internet that Hannah was going to sign with them and backed out at the last minute before the 2007 AEE Show but this was filmed mere days before the convention and questions were met with half hearted denials about her status as a potential contract gal while Roxy Jezel and Lacie Heart were promoted as the next big names in porn (both offering some great talents to the mix). In any case, Hannah had two full scenes here and showed her potential for sexual heat, though not providing her best work to date. The movie provided a number of different slices of life where one member of each scene would dominate, typically including some sexually freaky material that Robby probably enjoys in his private life (as in scene one...lol). That said, here is a look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used here at all:

Scene One: Hannah Harper, the beautiful blond Australian seen all over the front DVD cover, was up first as she posed in front of a mirror in her French maid outfit. To say she was looking hot wouldn't be enough but this was interrupted by Marco Banderas/Duato applying woman's make up while dressed up in panties. As weird as that sounds, Hannah seemed to find it appealing and she took charge of the muscular stud, sucking him off in bed. This would have been one of those times when I passed on the scene if I were Marco but his comfort zone falling well into the questionably gay zone was tempered by the fact that he was going to work with Hannah. If a DVD is full priced and clocking in at well under 90 minutes, it better address a narrowly defined niche that no one else caters to as well or the results are almost always going to be rating it as a Rent It or less. Don't get me wrong, Hannah Harper: Sexual Freak 5 had some decent sex but simply not enough of it to justify the price given the totality of the package provided. Robby and friends have done better in the past, a lot better actually, so perhaps it makes sense that Hannah never signed with them if this was the kind of release she warranted from the company.
