Extra's: The best extra was the 10:46 minute long Behind the Scenes feature shot by hotty Shay Jordan and edited by Bishop/Shy Halewd. Audio/Video Quality: Deeper 7: Katsumi was presented in the usual 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Robby D. for Digital Playground. The high end equipment and skilled crew of regulars assisted Robby to make this release another of his more artistic attempts, never going too far in the process as he stuck firmly to his gonzo roots. The lighting was reasonably solid here, as expected given this was Robby's standard type of gonzo, and that meant that the limited amounts of grain and other visual elements used to lend a sense of texture were minimal. The way the scenes were shot and edited was markedly similar in the scenes, though the composition of the angles was changed up a bit depending on the scene in question. The composition of the shots and the editing enhanced the look of the ladies more than a little bit with "Sidney Michaels" credited as editor but it looking very familiar (maybe one of the regulars, even Robby himself, sat in on the editing sessions?). It wasn't the most skillfully cut piece of work from the company but I didn't see anything out of place enough to pinpoint the differences (as Nick or Joey would be able to do were we watching it together). The bitrate for the visuals hovered around the mid 5 Mbps this time with few flaws but not as high in resolution as previous efforts in the series. The audio was presented in a 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround English using a 384 Kbps bitrate; twice that of most porn made these days, with a minimalist leaning that seemed unique in most ways to productions outside of the Jack series, with the vocals always dominating the audio track as I like it. There wasn't much separation between the channels, if any, but the ladies were almost always clearly heard.

Body of Review: Robby D. and Digital Playground have spent the better part of the last few years flirting with increasingly harder sex in their movies, typically positioning the most extreme stuff on his Hand Held Pictures label but not always. One of his showcase series has been the Deeper Series with each one highlighting a single gal to get multiple scenes with her peers upholding the heated dynamics of sex as well in most cases. The latest such release is Deeper 7: Katsumi, where one of the company's latest contract gals (Katsumi) was provided a couple of scenes to strut her hardcore stuff with the rest of the scenes showing a variety of newcomers getting kinky too. The emphasis on anal this time was obvious and I felt that Katsumi was an excellent choice for such treatment, even if I would have liked to see more of her in the scenes. If this sounds good to you, here is a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used:

Scene One: Katsumi, the hot young Asian gal on the front cover, was up first as she wore a tiny two piece red PVC tape outfit as she moved apples from the dinner table to the bedside table when she dropped one by the feet of Chris Charming. She seductively slobbed his knob with a girlfriend experience mode rather than trying to drain him dry in minutes, her hand slowly working on the shaft as she did so. Once his cock was thoroughly coated with saliva, she jumped onto it as he spanked her firm ass cheeks, the gal actively partaking of him as deeply as she could go. The two completely lacked any rhythm and the chemistry was minimal but I thought whoever worked on this one in post production made it almost work really well. It ended with a facial for those who care.

Scene Four: Carmel Moore, a curvy British gal with mixed color hair and domestic brunette Audrey Bitoni were up next as they cleaned the living room in their sexy maid outfits near a sleeping Ben English. Summary: Deeper 7: Katsumi by director Robby D. for Digital Playground earned a rating of Recommended, much like many of the other Deeper Series releases. I'll be up front and admit that I wanted to see more of the spotlight hotty than was displayed but the quality of her peers was strong enough in most cases to keep me satiated even while maintaining my desire to see her in every scene. The amount of fuck for the buck was not the best given the running time of the movie and the lack of extensive extras but fans of Katsumi should be prepared to pick up a copy when Deeper 7: Katsumi comes out at the end of this month.
