Extras: The extras package here is so much better than Jonni’s usual package that it merits extra attention and accolades. There being three discs, let’s start with the third disc, a compact music disc, first. While I’m one of the few outspoken critics of Jonni’s DJ and musical career, I know that some of you are into the droning beats offered by the club scene so you’re going to really like this special extra. The songs were lengthy, the shortest clocking in around 6 minutes and the longest twice or more, longer. They were encoded in 2.0 LPCM using a bitrate of 1411 Kbps second so I heard no unintentional flaws to the program. As I write this review, I have to admit that the visual show my DVD player is providing looking hypnotic and out of the context of the fucking, I liked the music a whole lot more (though I won’t pain Jonni to dance at his club and distract unbelieving patrons with the horror known as my dancing). The second disc of extras was a solid experience for fans of porn more than club going people, the extras including a lot of sex this time shot exclusively for this set. First up for me was the bonus scene lasting 9:25 minutes between hotty Alexis Texas and scene partner Mark Ashley. The tease sequence was good but they must have started too soon since the pair were already boning on the floor; doing vaginal, some PTM and blowjob, and then the facial. It was short but sweet!

The disc the movie itself was on also had some extras, mostly the pop shot compilation from the scenes but also 13 trailers (not the 14 listed unless I overlooked one) to movies like G For Gianna, Girls Love Girls 2, My Best Friend's Whore Friend, Slut Collector, Boob Bangers 4, Load Sharing, Bodacious Booty, Bet Your Ass 4, Girls Love Girls, Suck It Dry 2, Trophy Whores, and Angels of Debauchery 5; 5 limited filmographies, a cats list, and a photogallery lasting 4:06 minutes long. Audio/Video Quality: Bikini Clad Cum Sluts was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by director Jonni Darkko for Evil Angel. The bitrate hovered on the higher end of the scale much of the time, typically in the mid 6 Mbps range though jumping around a fair bit too; going higher as often as not. The lighting was often flat and solid, reducing the amount of grain, video noise, and other flaws directly related to the technical aspect. The composition was almost always favorable to the ladies and the editing seemed to enhance the look of the show more than a little bit, thanks to the extensive efforts of Eddie Powell who also made the cool DVD menus stand out with his skilful touch. In general, this was probably the best looking DVD set by Jonni that I can remember, though I haven’t seen a lot of his recent work (the other reviewers have fought for it so effectively). The audio was provided in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English track (at a 192 Kbps) was thumping but truncated at the right moment after the tease to allow the vocals to get the spotlight during the scenes. The great news was that the music was actually better than usual; the vocals nicely balanced and the score growing on me thanks in large part to having listened to them on the included CD track a few times before watching the movie. Good job Jonni!

Body of Review: Jonni Darkko has been distributed by Evil Angel for years now and his biggest complaint to me when we discussed my reviews of his movies has been my demand for a lot of quantity; both in extras and in the movie itself. My reasoning has always been related to the comparison of his titles to those of his peers at the company; pointing out that when another director gives the consumer four hours of good stuff and some super extras, his shorter movies barren of anything significant pale by comparison. His market niche is slightly different too, going for the younger club going audience more than jaded old porn hounds, but unlike those that kiss ass in the industry, I firmly believe in the Nietzsche idea of pushing someone to make them better rather than let them rely on false praise. Since our last conversation, Jonni has indeed upped his game a lot too, culminating in Bikini Clad Cum Sluts: Special Extended Set; a three disc set that will shut many up about Jonni being the weakest director under the Evil Angel umbrella for a long time. The idea was to stay simple, merely have some hotties play by the pool in swimwear, oil up, and then go at the sex like they were possessed. If that sounds as good to you as it did to me, you will probably find this to be a superior effort too so here’s a quick look at the scenes along with some pictures as visual aids, noting that no condoms were worn:

In short, Jonni Darkko has certainly come a long way to providing some of the best movies available in the gonzo world, a far cry from the generic titles he provided when first learning the ropes so my hat is off to the man once again; Great job!
