Extras: I generally don’t find as much to like in the extras section of compilations but this one actually showed Justin on the ball to give consumers a better value on the double disc set. The extras were largely located on the second disc (with just one scene on the second disc considered part of the compilation itself; the first disc having a cast list and some filmographies only) but the first true extra was 19:14 minutes of deleted footage between Tina and Justin as they screwed in the shabby little apartment. It was oral and vaginal only but showed a lot of lame camera movement that could not conceal the raw energy of the couple at play (the scene is described below by my buddy Saul). There was then a section of extra sex from the scenes lasting 9:59 minutes that was interesting to watch; albeit too short. I found the 95:08 minutes worth of Behind the Scenes footage from the scenes’ original production to be a pretty solid extra too. Culling the material from the movies themselves, the BTS offered more nudity, sex, and playful antics as the gals got into porn mode. Some of it was kind of weak but overall it was a nice selection of footage to add value with. Audio/Video Quality: Unleashed VS Freshly Slayed 3 was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color, as originally shot by director Justin Slayer for distribution by Evil Angel. The fleshtones looked of mixed quality thanks in large part to the lighting varying so much, which also caused some grain and video noise but wasn't always consistent; notable since the scenes came from years back (Justin has been improving his game ever since). The composition of the camera angles wasn't always the best to enhance the look of the females but it did a decent job of capturing the ladies raw energy; most of them quite powerful in terms of their performances when these scenes were shot. The fleshtones were off as well, making me think the camera was set for another kind of light (not corrected in terms of white balance) or that the lowered level of lighting was insufficient for the type of camera used. The overall visual look of the show was average compared to some of Justin's recent works but I thought more attention should've been paid to it than has been the case of late. The 2.0 Dolby Digital audio (in 192 Kbps) was presented in the usual English with the levels being a bit varied but you could hear what was said so most fans won't mind the lack of dynamic range or lack of separation between the channels. The music was kind of droning and lame but I found that to be a regular occurrence on Justin’s older titles and would strongly suggest he consider offering a second audio option where the music was dropped down somewhat in volume; especially on this older stuff being re-released.

Body of Review: Justin Slayer is one of the few male directors in porn that can successfully provide good porn to people from all backgrounds, his works distributed by Evil Angel these days. Summary: Unleashed VS Freshly Slayed 3 by director Justin Slayer for distribution by Evil Angel might not have been his best work to date (I prefer his newer movies for the most part) but it had some world class ass doing what they do best and a lot of raw energy to appreciate. The extras were well above average for a compilation and the technical values were not all that bad in many cases so I rated it as Recommended. In short, Unleashed VS Freshly Slayed 3: Special Extended Set was a lot like Unleashed VS Freshly Slayed 2 in that newcomers to the fanbase of Justin’s work will get a kick out of his attention to the ladies to the point where they might want to look for full copies of the older titles to get the full package. Otherwise, the tease and heated action should suffice until his next new project comes out.
