Audio/Video Quality: Big Wet Asses #12 was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by director William H. Nutsack for Elegant Angel. The camera work was fairly solid with plentiful lighting to reduce the grain, video noise and shadows but the picture did not appear as crisp this time. This is one area that William can be less consistent so I applaud his efforts at continually improving the quality in his better works; proving William works at making the best porn possible, even if he didn't reach that goal as well every time. I saw no compression artifacts (it was largely falling around the mid 4 Mbps video bitrate) and the composition of the camera angles strongly favored the female performers better than some of the director's previous, older, works (and on par with his more recent efforts for those in a comparison mode). The 2.0 Dolby Digital English track was pretty basic with little separation or dynamic range yet I could hear the cast well enough in most cases. The scenes were largely quiet so those of you into Nutsack's musical interludes might feel left out, even the ending a techno offering sans his comedic touch. For those keeping track, the audio was offered in a 192 Kbps offering, plenty of room considering how little took place on it but leaving room for future efforts too.

Body of Review: William H. Nutsack is probably my favorite director at Elegant Angel these days thanks to his twisted visions of sexual depravity. While not always completely on the ball, his better works are such that it is clear he tries new things and isn’t afraid to take chances like so many others are these days. One of his best series involves copious amounts of oil and the latest volume is Big Wet Asses #12, the last volume I had the chance to see being the wonderful Big Wet Asses 10. The series follows a strict formula where the ladies do a strip tease montage at the beginning of their scenes, get oiled up as a result, and then have a lot of hardcore sex that often relies on even more oil being tossed on them. The shiny look aside, a lot of attention is typically given to the pairings so that the natural chemistry can augment the highly selective screening process the ladies go through to make it into the award winning series. If that sounds good to you, you will definitely want to check this volume out since it showcases early anal scenes by Eva Angelina, Claire Dames, and Jasmine Byrne but all of them were really solid from my standpoint. Here’s a quick look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used:

I knew Eva Angelina and Jenna Haze would shine but the other three ladies were exceptionally good too so I rated the movie as Highly Recommended. The levels of fuck for the buck, replay value, and strokability were so high that it almost earned the highest possible rating but I won’t quibble over such matters when the end result was so strong overall. The extras were on the light side and the technical matters could have used some polishing up on occasion, but this was very likely William’s finest movie of the year as far as I was concerned. In short, Big Wet Asses #12, like Big Wet Asses 10 before it, was a shining example of the kind of great porn offered by Elegant Angel these days, each scene having anal for those of you that have complained in the past.
