Extra's: Skipping the spam and double sided DVD cover, the extras included some trailers, two photogalleries, and a 21:05 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Bear. There was some nice tease and a welcome number of introductions with small clips from the photoshoots included for good measure. Devinn’s taste in movies (Godzilla movies, just like me!!!) and other tidbits were discussed but there was footage of her involved in the project so her detractors can leave it alone regarding comments that she doesn’t even make the sets of her movies.

The party scene at the end should have been a massive lesbian orgy but wasn't.

Audio/Video Quality: Pink Paradise 3 was presented in 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Devinn Lane for Sin City (with Sammy Slater on camera) in 1080i though downgraded to MPEG-2 all the same. It was among the best looking movies she has ever shot; well handled on the technical level with the lighting eliminating most grain, video noise, and other minor issues nicely. I saw no compression artifacts (though the bitrate for the video was often well below 3 Mbps) and the flesh tones were accurate, making most of the scenes look relatively good by comparison to previous works of this type by Sammy. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English (at a bitrate of 192 Kbps) and sounded similar to her other recent works; never straying too far from the formula they feel comfortable with. The vocals were hollow at times, rarely sounding optimal but a step up from some of the other releases by the company of late.

Body of Review: Devinn Lane got into porn late in life compared to many others but she quickly went from being a lesbian solo artist to signing a contract for Wicked Pictures. She eventually started doing men on camera (beginning with the mighty Evan Stone in her short lived series) but the writing was on the wall that her modest success as a director/performer would take her elsewhere. She then signed with Shane’s World but didn’t work out, making a handful of titles for them that many considered lackluster even though I enjoyed them, now winding up directing for Sin City. The latest title of hers to make it my way was the lesbian themed Pink Paradise 3; a series about a resort where women could live out their gay fantasies without the threat of population pudding smacking them in the face. There are fewer lesbian offerings on the market these days but the competition has proven to help weed out the crap in favor of real ladies having real fun just without the benefit of a dick. The back cover said it like this: “Sin City presents a wild, all-girl adventure into the world of lesbian erotica, where gorgeous young women experience the sensuous and sinful touch of another woman's lips, the sweet caress of their tongues against each other's silky flesh, and the dizzying rush of the naughtiest sex toys probing each others quivering bodies that bring about the moans and screams of those heart pounding climaxes that only a woman knows how to deliver.” If that sounds good to you, here’s a quick look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used:

Scene One: Riley Evans, Sammie Rhodes, and Mikayla, were up first in a small bedroom where Sammie walked in with a couple of glass dildos. She was the sexual aggressor initially, her lean blond form appealing to the others. The ladies quickly began kissing and stripping, Sammie rimming Riley until Mikayla jumped in for some fun too. There was a lot of fingering to go with the oral and for most of you, the highlight won’t be the varied taste testing but the toys used so prolifically on Sammie’s perfect pucker. The friction from face sitting and fingering aside, this wasn’t the strongest opening scene but I did think the ladies were enjoying themselves even if they were held back (lowering the chemistry a bit).

Scene Two: Tory Lane, the gal featured on the lower right hand corner of the cover, was up next on a blanket outside on a perfectly sunny day with blond Shawna Lenee. Tory was the sexual aggressor here and she rubbed Shawna the right way while fingering her biscuit rapidly; spending some time rimming too though not as much as the pussy. The sun looked good on them and Tory sitting on Shawna’s face was shot nicely with some POV footage included before the toys came into play. There was a strong emphasis on anal action and only some out of focus moments bugged me here (well, that and the blemishes on Tory’s otherwise fine ass). Shawna was plowed by a large pink dildo in her pussy while Tory took her flesh colored toy anally; making me long for something a bit more visually appealing.

Scene Three: Gianna Lynn, an exotic Asian cutie in a revealing top and thong, was up with squirt princess Lexi Love next on a couch. The two did some wooden acting before kissing each other passionately; reducing their clothing to piles on the floor soon enough. The generic music was too loud but I could still hear the sounds of sex that I prefer so much, each gal getting some equal time with the other throughout the action that included oral, fingering, and yes, some toys. They really didn’t show much chemistry here either, though this might have been the result of editing since I got the distinct impression that they were hot for each other in the BTS feature I watched before the movie.

Scene Four: Tessa West and Ashley Fires were up next on a bench outside on an overcast day. This location struck me as flawed considering the babbling brook they were sitting beside; the rushing water not helping their vocals to be heard or the music to sound any more natural to the setting. The pair struck me as gay for pay too, while not strangers to another cooch, certainly not passionately involved with playing one to full benefit. They rubbed more than licked and while I’d have joined them (I’m a lesbian trapped in a man’s body ya know), the scene struck me as one of the weakest of the entire movie despite their physical appeal going on. Fans might appreciate a change of pace from the use of toys dominating the latter portions of the previous scenes but I really wanted more from them.

Scene Five: Shyla Stylez, Aline, Victoria Sin, and Tory Lane, were up last in a night scene by a campfire on a deck as the rest of the ladies in the cast watched them go at it. Sexually, the scene was similar to the rest of the movie with a strong emphasis on oral and manual loving, Shyla competing with Lexi for the title of which ate the best pussy. There was a bunch more toy use here too with some technical DP’s and loud over acting but I could’ve rubbed one out to it in a pinch. They did some taste testing, anal with toys and tongues, and showed some energy here; mostly as if doing it for the camera rather than themselves.

Summary: Pink Paradise 3 by director Devinn Lane for Sin City was a bit disappointing for me since I knew several of the ladies were far better than shown here and the director has a long history of demanding the ladies like pussy in her lesbian romps. Still, there was some minor stroke and replay value at times so I rated this one as a Rent It. In short, Pink Paradise 3 may never compete with the better known lesbian works of the competition but fans of the cast will certainly appreciate their participation, however limited, more than the rest of you.
