Extra's: I liked the short, 9:07 minute long Behind the Scenes feature the most, especially as it picked on the BTS guy; Jamal Johnson but mainly due to the additional footage of the ladies. Starting with a cute nod to the Terminator movies, the featurette was a lot of laughs. Audio/Video Quality: Jesse Jane: Lust was presented in the usual 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Celeste for Digital Playground. The high end equipment and skilled crew of regulars assisted director of photography Robby to make this release another of his more artistic attempts for Celeste, never going too far in the process as he stuck firmly to his gonzo roots as best he could under her guidelines. The lighting was reasonably solid here, Robby handling the technical matters for gal-pal Celeste, and that meant that the limited amounts of grain and other visual elements used to lend a sense of texture were minimal. The way the scenes were shot and edited was markedly similar in the scenes, though the composition of the angles was changed up a bit depending on the scene in question (though the colors were a bit more washed out than usual). The composition of the shots and the editing enhanced the look of the ladies thanks to Joey Pulgadas at the helm of the editing board and related duties; with the DVD mastering revealing no obvious compression artifacts. The bitrate for the visuals hovered around the mid 6 Mbps this time with few flaws but not as high in resolution as previous efforts in the series. The audio was presented in a 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround English using a 384 Kbps bitrate; twice that of most porn made these days, with a minimalist leaning that seemed unique in most ways to productions outside of the Jack series, with the vocals always dominating the audio track as I like it. There wasn't much separation between the channels, if any outside of the intermittent music, but the ladies were almost always clearly heard here.

Body of Review: Celeste is the conceptual director at Digital Playground best known for eschewing the basic gonzo fare they focus on these days in favor of providing movies a bit more stylish. To that end, she provides extensive input to her cameraman Robby so he can get all the footage needed for the editors to assemble her works that tend to work best for couples. This is not to say her work isn’t strokable for men as well but I don’t recall ever hearing someone tell me Celeste’s titles are too hardcore so your mileage may well vary. Her latest title was released today and it showcased not only the most popular contract girl in all of porn but an up & comer as well; the title called Jesse Jane: Lust. The movie was a series of erotic vignettes with Jesse starring in three full scenes and the icing on the cake proving to be lovely Stoya; the “force of nature” they hired late last year. Say what you will about Celeste’s works but given her recent track record combined with the quality of these two performers alone and you have the makings of a very appealing little stroke flick. The technical matters were nicely done and the BTS was a cute extra, the balance of the entire package amounting to a rating of Recommended. In short, Jesse Jane: Lust did appear to show her repeatedly in the grips of a lustful emotional state of mind, the movie being something of a cross hit for me as Celeste met Robby half way to provide the best of both worlds as often as not.
