Audio/Video Quality: Brand New Faces 4 was presented in the same 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color it was shot in by director B. Skow for Vivid Entertainment. For those unfamiliar with his background, suffice it to say that his experience outside of porn is superior to many inside the industry and it shows up in his movies, including this one as shot in HD, though presented in the SD format (for now) as shot in 1080i to provide a lot of resolution supporting some of the effects (making it look more like a real movie than just a porno). The lighting was well handled and this added to the pleasure of watching the gals in play as the lengthy scenes gave them enough freedom to explore what was advertised as their first scenes (with a money back guarantee). The composition of the camera angles and lighting were almost always optimal this time, Skow seeing fit to try and enhance the look of the ladies at every turn as possible. The fleshtones were accurate this time and the DVD mastering was well done (if in a bitrate hovering around 4 Mbps), making it a mixed bag in terms of visual quality; leaning towards above average. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English (in 192 Kbps) offering with the vocals sounding flat and the music pretty decent. For some reason, the levels were about the same as usual but aside from the added background noise, the dynamic range was average and the separation of the vocal track nonexistent.

Body of Review: Brand New Faces 4 B. Skow has been the driving force at Vivid Entertainment in terms of providing good looking porn in recent years; typically bringing something unique to the mix as he enhanced the performances of the ladies he shot for the company under so many sets of circumstances. His latest release is a bit different in that it was a series of lengthy scenes called Brand New Faces 4; a movie dedicated to showcasing five lovely young ladies in their first scenes for porn and the sequel to the extremely popular Brand New Faces 1 and Brand New Faces 2 I saw recently. The porn industry is replete with gals claiming to be in their first scenes ever but the catch this time was the cover promising a "100% Money-Back Guarantee" that these were the first times the ladies were on film. Be that as it may, the cover also promised that the scenes were candid and given my experience with newcomers, I was hoping Skow could pull a rabbit out of a hat and also make them award winning performances. If you're still interested, here's a quick glimpse into the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used:

Scene One: Alexandria Sinz, the curvy gal with huge DSL's seen on the lower left hand corner of the front cover, was up first as she followed the formula of the series. A stripper from Houston, Texas, Alexandria is reported to have a lot of great moves capable of draining wallets dry (cough) though I would deny any firsthand knowledge of this ability. Skow had her sign the pledge before really getting into the tease in depth; her chest pushing against the t-shirt she wore that stated "The hottest girls are from Texas". I liked her natural breasts but her attitude was a bit standoffish (maybe she was just shy) though she had strong legs and enough baby fat on her frame to grab onto. As is the standard for the scenes, Skow felt her up and he relished his position more than a little (you can always hear his appreciation for the ladies in his voice) but this translated well as his excitement represented that of the male viewer. I can't definitively state that none of them have shot a professional scene before but unlike so many titles that Vivid sits on for years as part of their marketing approach, Brand New Faces 4 was rushed right to the pressing plant to jump on the newness factor (something other companies seem to have embraced in the past as many of you like to see "firsts", real or imagined). Whatever the reality of the marketing claim though, all four of the cuties were breaths of fresh air and deserve some accolades for providing enough fuck for the buck, strokability, and replay value to make this a keeper for your collection much like Brand New Faces 2 was recently.
