Audio/Video Quality: Pussy Party 24: Assalicious was shot in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as directed by Cousin Stevie for distribution by Seymore Butts/Pure Play Media. The lighting of this gonzo lesbian gem wasn't the best but it was an improvement on previous volumes of the show (keeping in mind that limitations were largely due to the gonzo nature of the show). In order to maintain some sense of spontaneity, the production made use of a roving camera that caused some of the scenes to seem out of place at times. For some of us, the raw energy on display easily compensates for the additional grain and minor video noise this adds while others have expounded on the lack of technical quality this presents. Personally, I'm not a fan of lowering the technical quality for any reason and I often dismiss the belief that gonzo "looks that way" unlike critics elsewhere since I've seen plenty of flat lighting used in some shoots that worked better but Stevie's crew; consisting of Ken Wilkes Booth and Cyrus Cobain, did a fair job this time. In Stevie's case, much like his mentor Seymore Butts, he gets away with minor flaws thanks in large part to the casting choices he makes but it was interesting to see the improvements continue. Still, the composition of many of the shots did enhance the looks of the ladies more than usual too, even if not making them look as nicely as they could have. That said, the production looked okay and conveyed a sense of heat in many cases with no observable compression artifacts noticed with the bitrate hovering in the mid 5 Mbps range when I paid attention to it. The 2.0 Dolby Digital English language audio at 192 Kbps was basic with no separation between the channels and about the level of quality I'd expect from a generic gonzo movie but I could hear all the action going on and that's the important thing.

Body of Review: Cousin Stevie is probably best known as the cantankerous buddy of Seymore Butts but his own lesbian series has been around for years too. I was one of the first people to sing his praises long ago and while I have only seen a handful of the series since it’s inception, I generally find the volumes to be full of lesbian action with plenty of heat, chemistry, and replay value so I was happy to finally get his latest work in Pussy Party 24: Assalicious. As the title suggests, the theme this time was heavy on asses being used and abused by tongues and toys with twats being given second fiddle. There was no build up to the usual judging and events, the minimalist approach striking me in stark contrast to what I had seen in the past but even the awards were given out in the behind the scenes feature so maybe the series is ready for an overhaul. The cast this time was among his very best too with a wealth of sexy babes that I’d do if it weren’t for a) them having better taste in men and b) the fact that I’d be lucky to get my pants unzipped before losing my own load of population pudding. Seriously though, the ladies had a good time all the time here and it made the show a lot of fun to enjoy. If you’re still interested, here’s a quick look at the four subsections it was broken down into, noting that no men were performing that day but some toys were clad with condoms for personal hygiene purposes:

Scene One: Masturbation: The ladies were all propped up on a couch, generally one at a time (with the others heard in the background) as they used toys and fingers to get off. Each gal seemed to offer a slightly different experience in how they masturbated, still using whatever large toy was available but the entire cast consisting of Alana Evans, Flower Tucci, Luscious Lopez, Sunny Lane, Olivia O’Lovely, Trina Michaels, Richelle Ryan, and Nikki Hunter, having some fun. Flower used her water power and Nikki took the largest toy of all (I haven’t seen her performing since she was gravely ill so it was nice to see her back to her old, wanton ways even though she was a brunette). The action ended at about the 27 minute mark for those keeping track.

Scene Two: Couples: Next up, the ladies split off into pairs with a lot of seriously strokable lingerie adding to the visual pleasure. Nikki and Alana were up first with a slightly rough spank fest, followed by Sunny and Luscious, Trina and Richelle, and ending with Olivia and Flower. Most of the action involved lots of kissing, some cream used for the ass, a bunch of toys penetrating all three holes, and some titty play but while some scenes were nice and long, others clocked in far too short even if it looked like a number of the ladies got off.

Scene Three: Foursomes: The mathematical equation worked out for the show had each segment doubling how many partners were present so the next section provided two sets of four ladies going at one another. The general dynamic was the same in each of the movie’s sections though since most lesbian lovers will point out there aren’t as many variations to be had. Still, the tease, the ass play, the rug munching, and all the little touches that Stevie adds in to make his movies something special were in evidence; first up being Alana, Luscious, Flower and Richelle. The other quartet consisting of Sunny, Olivia, Nikki, and Trina were fully engaged in action on the opposing couch across the room; amounting to little more than an orgy ahead of its time. In all, I found a lot more replay value here thanks in no small part to the leading forces of each team; Flower and Nikki, but all the ladies seemed into the moment.

Scene Four: Orgy: As expected, Alana Evans, Flower Tucci, Luscious Lopez, Sunny Lane, Olivia O’Lovely, Trina Michaels, Richelle Ryan, and Nikki Hunter were all up in the ending scene that merely merged the two groups from the last section into one big messy get together. The ringleaders worked in unison here as they seemed to focus on one gal at a time more than the auxiliary actions being dominant (as in most orgies where people pair off in smaller groups to move about as they see fit). There was some of that going on but most of the scene was caught in a single camera’s viewpoint with minimal editing cleaning it up for the home viewer.

Summary: Pussy Party 24: Assalicious by Cousin Stevie for Seymore Butts was more like a home movie than any of the previous volumes in the series that I have had the opportunity to review. This being the case, the technical matters were a drop from earlier works but the fun factor was just as high, if not higher in some ways so I ended up rating it as Recommended with dedicated fans of the series probably considering it a “must have” volume thanks to the excellent casting of Alana Evans, Flower Tucci, Luscious Lopez, Sunny Lane, Olivia O’Lovely, Trina Michaels, Richelle Ryan, and Nikki Hunter. In short, Pussy Party 24: Assalicious struck me as more of a documentary about what this group of gals would do on Superbowl Sunday while their men were watching the Giants kick Patriot ass; the awards finding the right spot thanks to the way Nikki and Flower so thoroughly dominated the rest of the cast.
