Extra's: The extras were light here, a photogallery, a cardboard slipcase, and a cumshot recap hardly adding any value for me while the 6:19 minute Behind the Scenes was far too short to showcase any of the performers; Chavon Taylor talking about this being her first anal and Harmony getting the rest of the spotlight to prance around while the other ladies were left out in the cold. Sadly, there was no bonus scene as advertised and there was also no striptease material as promised, putting me on edge about what other surprises I could expect from the production.

Audio/Video Quality: Filled to the Rim 5 was presented in an anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 widescreen color as shot by director Ray Bones for Diabolic Digital. Having only seen a limited amount of his works in the past, I was ready for anything and to be frank, he did a decent job here with the lighting helping to minimize the grain, video noise, and other visual flaws that are too common to porn flicks these days. The fleshtones leaned a little too much to being over saturated with yellow tint (perhaps from a lack of properly setting the white balance on the camera for the lighting) and the camera angles were edited too aggressively at times but even the over use of close up shots was not too bad here as far as I was concerned. The bitrate was almost always hovering in the mid 5 Mbps area but the picture struck me as being less crisp than similar efforts by the company over the years, perhaps the compression ratio or other technical aspect weakening the picture more than a little bit in the process used to convert the scenes to DVD's MPEG-2 codec. The audio was presented in 1.0 monaural using the standard 192 Kbps bitrate, generally sounding lackluster with no depth, separation, or major range in the dynamic of the track. The vocals were minimal in most cases and the background noises rarely noticed; the automatic gain such that it did bug me at times.

Body of Review: Ray Bones is one of the new directors for Diabolic Digital that I have become acquainted with of late, his latest release making it my way full of some heated solo fun. His latest work is Filled to the Rim 5, an anal creampie movie picking up where former director David Perry left off by using domestic ladies instead of the European gals so common in low end gonzo productions. I was hoping that Ray would provide something of an upgrade to previous efforts in the series I had watched, some of the older scenes working fairly well but far from the kind of quality I had long associated with the company and its directors. That said, here is a quick look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used:

Scene One: Alektra Blue, the brunette with great looking eyes (and other body parts) seen on the front cover, was up first to establish the new formula of the series now that there is a new director at the helm. She did not get to tease very much before using a modest glass dildo on her cookie, rubbing her crotch as she kicked back on the couch to provide some appealing masturbation action. Summary: Filled to the Rim 5 by director Ray Bones for Diabolic Digital showed more of his potential at directing than the last release of his I reviewed but given the quality of the cast, the replay value, and the strokability observed, I thought it earned a rating of at least Recommended. More polishing up on the technical side of things, be it the camera work, the lighting, and/or the editing would likely have elevated this one another notch up the ladder but there was a solid amount of fuck for the buck to appreciate so fans of the cast or anal creampies might want to check this one out. In short, Filled to the Rim 5 was definitely a step up from the previous director of the series but the domestic cast certainly helped make it better too with my concerns about missing extras and technical matters almost dropping it down a notch too.
