Extra's: Unlike most titles these days, the extras here were far from generic so I spent some time enjoying them too. My favorite was probably the director's commentary since it gave the most insight into the experiences on the movie as well as anecdotes about the making of the flick but Joanna was not the one giving it, it was tough to make out the guy's voice given the fake British accent but he knew what took place inside & out so whether it was "Assistant Director Doug Sakmann" or whomever ("Tim Kyle?); I liked it! The 20:19 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Mike Pullen and Taylor Bay was pretty cool too as there was additional sex footage, more interview material, and showed some of the cast & crew doing their thing. There was then a section of "Twenty Something Questions" which was like a modified interview that encompassed the whole cast answering standardized autobiographical questions. There was then the 1.11 minute long Jack & Jojo Show; essentially some more BTS material about the couple. Then came 2:40 minutes of voiceover auditions, 2:12 minute long The Tazer Show (where everyone had a swell time laughing about getting tazered), 1:16 minute long Strip For Pain ("the men take the pain as the girls strip"), a 7:09 minute photogallery, spam, a bunch of trailers, and a bonus scene from Tristan Taormino's House of Ass lasting 25:13 minutes with Joanna Angel & Mr. Marcus. Whew!

Audio/Video Quality: Not Another Porn Movie was presented in anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 ratio widescreen color as shot by director Joanna Angel for Adam & Eve under her IAC label encoded into MPEG-2. The movie looked like a low grade, ultra cheesy fuck flick from the mid 1970's which was the intent here. The focus was soft, the lighting pretty weak at times, and the composition of the shots laughably bad as often as not but all of it contributed to the movie looking like it should thematically. The bitrate was often hovering around the 4 Mbps rate and there were some compression artifacts but shadows, slightly "off" fleshtones, and obviously included "mistakes" aside, I found it was well done for what it tried to be. The audio was presented in the usual 2.0 Dolby Digital English with minimal separation and limited dynamic range but all the performers could be heard and the music was actually pretty decent at times. Joanna had a band called Hick, Nick, and Jew (of the Dead) playing in most scenes (in the background) as well as a song from the Bloodhound Gang; both making the show sound more like a purposefully cheesy porno (ie: the intent) than most modern releases.

Body of Review: Joanna Angel now directs for Adam & Eve having bounced around the industry to find a home for her own version of alternative (sometimes called "alt") pornography.  Never taking her craft too seriously, she eschews many of the built in problems some of her peers embrace as giving them an edge, failing to realize that to many fans, the edge is strictly in the eye of the beholder.  Joanna's latest release in this line of thinking is the semi-parody called Not Another Porn Movie; starring the director as a frustrated director trying to shoot her latest fuck flick with all the usual problems driving her crazy.  The tongue in cheek approach works for the lady and her scenes, propped up as much by the sly winks toward industry conventions as anything else, with some decent extras filling out the package, as it were.  If that interests you, here's a quick look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used or bands abused, in the making of this movie:

Scene One: Pinky Lee, looking a whole lot like Anna Faris (from mainstream hit series Scary Movie), was up first as the gal that ordered a pizza from Tommy Pistol (the weird looking guy in the green shirt on the cover). She had no money but wanted the extra sausage in her mouth, making a deal to have sex with the guy, all done like an old style porno for intentional laughs. She blew his very modest member as though he were hot stuff after the two kissed and he started banging her immediately afterwards in the cookie. The band was playing in the background without an expression (and there were drop outs on the audio track) but this did not impact her active vaginal riding style or willingness to do PTM. He eventually even ate her clam a bit in between positions, the lengthy scene finishing up with his equally modest wad of population pudding coating her face.

Scene Two: Pixie Pearl, the skinny brunette seen on the left hand side of the front cover, was up next as the attitudinal challenged porn star in need of her cable television needing repair from James Deen. Apparently, Tommy went to the wrong address and the band pointed out the location was on the north side, not the south side so he missed out on such a wonderful opportunity. Pixie treated James sort of like a leper, hoping to finish in time to attend another appointment but showing the emotive skills of a low end street walker. I admit that after a slow start though, she began sucking him off fairly aggressively even if his dirty talk dominated the scene (bad!). She didn't want him in her pussy, preferring he go straight into her ass instead, and she rubbed herself as he plumbed the depths of her bowels. This was another altish styled scene with James getting slightly rough but continually drilling her ass too. The reddened thighs from where he slapped seemed to get her slightly into the sex after awhile too and with some minimal taste testing, she took the pop shot to her lower abdomen.

Scene Three: Joanna Angel, the lead of the movie and credited director (as seen on the middle of the front cover at the bottom with a camera in her hand), was upset over the piss poor results of the day's shoot, discussing it with her slutty secretary, January Darling (the librarian looking gal on the far right of the front cover). The stilted dialogue was cute and the band slipped in to play before getting sent away; the comedy of the crew removing everything from her room with the porn set up quite inventive. Initially, Joanna was the giver of oral pleasure in this lesbian scene, taking charge after enjoying her massage. She whipped out a dildo and the dirty talk ensued, January giving nearly as well as she received in no time at all. The fingering, licking, and titty play continued until more toys came out; Joanna's propensity for anal action coming into play during a technical DP. In a twisted turn of events, once the ladies finished with each other, they kissed at length until Tommy rubbed out a small load onto Joanna's chest; finding out afterwards that he missed out on a blowjob due to his impatience.

Scene Four: Jade Jolie, the naughty nurse on the front cover (right of center), was up next as another charmer on the set as she tried to make sickly Tommy Pistol healthy using her feminine wiles (they were out of medicine). Her mechanical blowjob was decent enough (I've bought dinner for less) and she seemed to be the most active vaginal rider of the movie, the fake moaning punctuating the thematic parts while still showing an aptitude for screwing. Tommy "fucked her like a dirty little slut" and midway through the scene, it seemed that she had stopped faking it to really have some fun (even though the scene was interrupted for prop problems). Tommy's creative improvisation during the latter portions was wacky too, Jade laughing her ass off before they finished it all off with a mouth pop.

Scene Five: Joanna Angel, having been chased around town by an unruly anti-porn mob of picketers, was up last as she faced a dilemma many of us have had; a broken down car in need of a tow. Needless to say, she was surprised when James Deen showed up in a wrecker with the desire to "fix her tailpipe", Joanna just wanting a tow but jumping him anyway once she saw his erection not covered by pants in the dark alleyway. They felt each other up and she slobbed his knob nicely, jerking him off in her mouth before the two bumped uglies one last time. The band played on the back of the wrecker too, disappearing halfway through the scene when James started getting rough with her (slapping her titties), inspiring her to let loose the juice a bit. They moved to anal sex once she begged him for it successfully, the pair slowing down considerably in the process but liking what was taking place too. The close up camera angle was a pain here, especially because of the darkness of the setting, but she did ATM and took the facial as well as ever; ending a bizarre but appealing movie.

Summary: Not Another Porn Movie by director Joanna Angel for Adam & Eve was not much like the kind of parody the cover would suggest (like the aforementioned Scary Movie, Date Movie, and related teen flicks) but it did serve as a funny send up of porn clichés as much as provide a new take on the movie in a movie type of independent flick (handled better than most indie directors have in recent years too). The sex was always pretty decent even if most of the ladies did not physically appeal to me too so I rated this one as a Recommended that many of you will like for the entertainment value as much as the carnal activity you will get in ample amounts too. In short, Not Another Porn Movie served as a fun fuck flick that turns industry conventions on their collective heads, providing some laughs with the usual fuck for the buck value you have come to expect from Joanna's efforts in the past.
