Extras: The best extra for most people will be the 14:10 minutes of deleted footage starring Alexis Texas, including her taking a piss in the bathtub. Fans of "squirting" might want to take a look at how crystal clear the fluid was so they will have something to think about the next time they want to argue about science and medicine, but Alexis was looking full and hot throughout the clips. There was also an amusing 27:40 minute long Behind the Scenes feature that showed a lot of the preparation, some playing around, even more Alexis in action, and Aiden as a significant contributor as co-director. In an interesting move, there was an audio commentary offered up as an alternative audio track. As I write this review, I am listening to parts of it now, some of the commentary providing bits of technical information though much of it a playful revisit of the material by Bella, a "topless Alexis Texas", and Dave Murphy. There were also six photogalleries, a cast list, limited filmographies, a cardboard cover, and a pop shot recap.

Audio/Video Quality: Discovering Alexis Texas was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by directors Belladonna & Aiden for release by Evil Angel. I still don't get many of her movies these days but I have long found her to provided very heated, if raw looking titles that were better on pairings than technical values, using Aiden on camera in almost all cases (though I'd chip in for him to take a few classes). This was the case here as well with the home movie look of many scenes, the mixed level of lighting, and the resulting grain and video noise. Still, the action was clear enough and fans will find the sheer amount of lesbian fuck for the buck to be enough to largely compensate for the technical limitations. The camera angles weren't always favorable to the performers either (maybe cameraman Aiden could keep the camera a bit steadier), making some look worse than usual even as they actively handled the cocks in front of them, but Bella's movies have rarely been known for how good they look so I doubt fans are going to fuss loudly at this point in the game over technical values (it didn't help that the video bitrate was often in the mid 1 Mbps range, some compression artifacts observed). In any case, the audio was presented in a similar fashion with a 2.0 Dolby Digital English (in the usual 192 Kbps bitrate) offering that sounded hollow with no separation between the channels and no music to bore you with. There were some off camera noises at times and a few bits of vocal acting that could have been done over to sound better but the visuals were the worst part of this section.

Body of Review: Alexis Texas is one of the ladies from the Lone Star State making a lot of fans in the last year, her curvy ass and cute face gaining more attention with each passing month. As some of her peers have benefited from showcase flicks, now she will too thanks to directors Belladonna & Aiden and Evil Angel with Discovering Alexis Texas: Special Collector's Edition. The credits credited Aiden as the director and hinted that Bella was the conceptual director, a dynamic used by Celeste and Robby D at Digital Playground for years now. Still, the cover gave both of them credit and if you've seen any of their past works, you'll know how the movie was not the kind of polished looking release most people in the industry are providing, offering up a lot of raw energy instead. The good news is that each of the scenes featured Alexis in action, providing some firsts but also showing her having a great time, even the audio commentary offering fodder for fan sites and those that can't get enough of the curvy babe. The Evil Angel website did not have a trailer this time but described the movie like this: "The entire story is best understood through the lens of the final scene, which is brief, but telling. In the last scene 6, Nina Hartley says, "That's my story, I love who I am," revealing herself as the narrator of 5 sex scenes, played by Alexis Texas, who has an ass to rival Nina's. Nina whips Belladonna, who is in the corner, ass out to receive the leather blows. Scene 1 is a young, college age Alexis who gives a blow bang in payment for some Mary Jane. Scene 2 is an experimental Alexis, learning to give a blow job from Bella and a friend - but a lot more than one blow job is learned. Scene 3 is Alexis fucking 2 guys. Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Alexis Texas, a bountiful beauty that has been getting better with time in the industry, was up first as a hippy love chick in what appeared to be shot as a home movie. The scene was handled even more this way than Bella's usual movies, though showing Alexis' body (as enhanced by Popeye's Chicken per her commentary) fit the setting with Chris Charming, Steve Holmes, and Scotty Lyons, all looking goofy as could be. She initially gave them a blowbang, moving from cock to cock with her mouth and hands while frequently looking at the camera. Scene Five: Alexis Texas, dressed solely in a trench coat, was up last in a scene where she flashed Steve Holmes in public; initially at the train stop, then outside by the house before joining him for a full scene. The two embraced with a deep kiss once they were behind closed doors, Nina's voice over working even better this time to raise awareness of the situation. Summary: Discovering Alexis Texas by directors Belladonna & Aiden for Evil Angel was the first true showcase of all new scenes starring fan favorite Alexis Texas exploring a wider range of sexual activities than ever before. I'm not big on "firsts" but I sure liked the consistent quality of the sexual action contained in the scenes, the little surprises a nice touch to make this one worthy of being Highly Recommended. In short, Discovering Alexis Texas: Special Collector's Edition was a must have for fans of lead Alexis Texas, the movie largely staying away from the circus act sex Bella's movies are sometimes associated with. Had this been another double disc release and contained upgraded technical values, I venture to say it would have earned our highest rating of all for the majority of people out there, not just her devoted fans, but it was a solid selection of fuck for the buck using great replay value and strokability to merit more attention than some may give it.
