Extras: The best extra was the lengthy, 52:13 minute long Behind the Scenes feature that was culled from dozens of hours of raw footage by the overworked editing team of Shane's World. There was a fair amount of additional nudity, some sex, and a lot of personality as Casey and the team prepared for their shooting schedules (like Casey forgetting some of the words to Sir Mix-a-lot's classic tune). The best part for most of you will be Casey pissing in a field or the longer version of her scene with Paulina James but it was full of cute moments (Casey snorting as she laughed on the buffalo was pretty good too). There was also a true double sided cover, a cumshot recap, a photogallery, and 8:05 minutes of trailers.

Audio/Video Quality: Casey Parker's California Dreamin' was presented in the standard 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by an Uncredited director for Shane's World. This time, the lighting and editing were well done, eliminating the grain, video noise, and other issues related to lighting in most cases during the sex scenes. There were a lot of silly parts that I'm glad weren't edited out as they made it more fun to watch; part of the standard dynamic of the company road trip movies. The composition of the shots weren't always designed to enhance the looks of the ladies and make them appear as hot as possible but these were some of the choicest picks that could have been made; no enhancement really needed. The DVD showed no major compression artifacts or mastering issues (the bitrate hovering around the mid 4 Mbps mark) and looked like a great release overall for the company (shame I again can't credit anyone as director for it). The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English using the non standard 128 Kbps and like many other releases by the company, the vocals were almost always hard to hear with no real separation noticed or major dynamic range to speak of as with the noisy party titles the company puts out these days. Of interest to some might be the theme song of the movie sounding like a knock off of John Cougar Melloncamp's "POCK in the USA" too.

Body of Review: Shane's World has long been associated with their college titles and travelogues where they get porn performers to spread the joy of sex throughout the world to people desperately in need of it. The origins of the company aside, in recent years they have branched into other areas that were underserved, providing an alternative to heavily made up women having generic sex in the same 5 or 6 houses in Southern California. In fact, not long ago, they hired a precious little college coed by the name of Casey Parker to be their contract starlet, her sense of energy and love of life proving to be huge selling points compared to what others have been offering. Due to Casey's increasing popularity, every movie she is in becomes something of an event nowadays, the latest to come being Casey Parker's California Dreamin': Collector's Edition. The movie is essentially a showcase effort that gave Casey the impetus to explore her new home state in a manner that all her fans will appreciate, boning like crazy as she embraces life to its fullest with such notables as Devon, Paulina James, and Aubrey Addams. The back cover said it like this: "Casey wanted to get to know her new home state, so she grabbed some friends and headed out to see what Cali has to offer. Casey, Paulina, and Jack head for some fun in the sun and a naughty threesome in Catalina! Devon shows Casey Malibu and a good time. Then she hops on a plane to Napa for her first wine tasting with friends Aubrey and Criss. Next to San Francisco for some chowder and sightseeing with Reena and Dane. Back home, Casey shows Charles why she still loves L.A. the most. Check out what Cali and Casey have to offer you!" Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Casey Parker, the lean and youthful blond featured on the left half of the front cover, was up first with Houston's latest porn retiree, Paulina James, as the ladies hooked up with another guy from my area, Jack Venice. Unlike some of the bigger efforts by the company, this scaled down version was a more intimate look at Casey, first up in Catalina as she saw the sights. As with any of the company titles, the sex is only part of the fun, the trio's drunken exploits (where they had trouble renting a golf cart because they were buzzed) including some public nudity leading to a secluded coastal ménage a trios initiated by Casey so she could blow Jack. Paulina wanted in on the action too so Casey made way which allowed her (Casey) to get some tasting of Paulina too. They stripped and the danger sex they engaged in on top of the cliff was your basic suck and vaginal fuck but considering how attractive the ladies were; it was a lot of fun. The ladies were not as active as I prefer but they were on sharp rocks and the location was not conducive to that kind of action, the camera work and editing exception at capturing the dynamic of the scene. Jack was having some minor wood issues too but the crowds gathered and the scene had to pick back up on a bed inside a hotel room. The gals were decidedly more comfortable then but the lack of getting caught lowered the heat a bit for me too. The wad of population pudding hit Paulina's ass cheek to close things out, Casey licking some of it up as though she liked it.

Scene Two: Devon, the bleach blond featured on the right hand side of the front cover, needs no introduction to porn fans since she has been a favored contract performer at various companies for most of her ten years in porn. I didn't think they had as much chemistry as they could have but both provided something intangible to the scene that gave it some replay value for me. The scene finished up when they used a large glass dildo together (it was a double header) and the kissed to the cut away.

Scene Three: Aubrey Addams, one of the cutest young ladies in porn, was up next in Napa Valley with Casey Parker and Criss Strokes. Criss looked like a moper to me, the kind of last minute replacement talent that makes you wonder why he was picked for the role, but after a day of wine tasting with Casey, I was glad they met up with Aubrey. The two gals were extra bubbly and when they ended up back at the hotel room, it was clear that there could have been two separate scenes; a lesbian scene and a trio scene.
