Audio/Video Quality: My First Porn 10 was presented in 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Robby D. for release by Digital Playground in the MPEG-2 codec. The lighting was reasonably solid here, as expected given this was Robby's standard type of gonzo, and that meant that the limited amounts of grain and other visual elements used to lend a sense of texture were minimal. The way the scenes were shot and edited was markedly similar in the scenes, though the composition of the angles was changed up a bit depending on the scene in question; Kurt Tortcher. handling the editing duties this time. The DVD mastering revealing no obvious compression artifacts (the bitrate varying but often staying near the mid 5 Mbps range) but this was far from one of the most effects laden extravaganzas in the series so don't expect a lot from it. The audio was presented in a 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround (using 448 Kbps) with a minimalist leaning that seemed unique in most ways to productions outside of the Jack series, with the vocals always dominating the audio track as I like it but the vocals by the cast were lower than usual, almost as if the microphone was pointed at Jack/Robby. There wasn't much separation between the channels but the ladies were almost always clearly heard.

Body of Review: Robby D. has been on something of a role over the last several years, finding a lot of acclaim in his "Jack" universe over at Digital Playground. One of the funnier series in the universe being the My First Porn series where the down and out Jack, in between scamming gals for music videos or beauty contests, tries his hands at making porn. The humor comes in as Jack faces all the dilemma's that occur in the real world; from crazy women to location problems to irate porn reviewers to flakes, all of these being standard in the industry. The sex itself is usually first rate gonzo as well without all the circus act tricks some directors employ, the pairings tending to be pretty heated all the same. Well, coming out next month is My First Porn 10, the sequel to the well received My First Porn 9 I reviewed last year, and it contained more of the silly antics fans have demanded, including a spotlight scene by the lovely Stoya. If that isn't enough to interest you, consider the rest of the cast as adding in the needed diversity, including a scene by hotty Sophia Santi (a former contract gal at the company). That said, here is a brief glimpse into the upcoming DVD, noting that no condoms were used:

Better extras might have helped a little but ultimately, it was the way some of the pairings just didn't display any chemistry or provided little heat compared to other titles shot by the director. In short, My First Porn 10 was weaker than I prefer to see but still well worth a look if you like the cast (especially Stoya!).
