Extras: The best extra was the behind the scenes feature even though it only lasted 13:11 minutes (some of the gals went into detail about themselves, like Adrenalynn, too). There was additional nudity and some sex but mostly the two directors having fun with the cast members by verbally kidding them around. Audio/Video Quality: Curvy Girls was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by directors Sam No & William H. Nutsack for Elegant Angel using the standard definition MPEG-2 codec with 480i resolution. The camera work was solid with plentiful lighting to eliminate grain, video noise and shadows and the picture appeared to be crisp this time. Mason has made or assisted on a number of titles over the years, the technical matters taking back seat (pun intended) to the raw energy of the sex, so it was nice to see her improving her game in the visuals, this time more openly acknowledging Nutsack as a major contributor with co-directing credits (instead of as merely a cameraman). I saw no compression artifacts (it was largely falling around the mid 4 Mbps video bitrate; on the low end but probably needed given the amount of material on the DVD) and the composition of the camera angles strongly favored the female performers as most of her work these days tends to do. The 2.0 Dolby Digital English track was pretty basic with little separation or dynamic range yet I could hear the cast well enough in most cases. For those keeping track, the audio was offered in a 192 Kbps offering with a 48 kHz sampling rate, plenty of room considering how little took place on it but leaving room for future efforts too.

Body of Review: Mason & William H. Nutsack are my two favorite directors over at Elegant Angel these days, especially now that Patrick is rarely helming projects, Mark is off doing his own thing, and LT focuses so much on IR titles. Both of them have their own styles but know how powerful tease footage can be for setting the stage of a great fuck flick and know enough to let the performers have far greater control over what they want to do in a scene, these aspects forgotten by too many wannabe quality directors elsewhere. While they each make some of the best titles you will find in the gonzo genre on their own, when they team up, the results are often especially solid, their latest outing together called Curvy Girls. The movie is a set of five scenes starring some of the most desirable gals with curvy bodies, providing some diversity in terms of looks but also giving each gal a chance to shine in a number of ways. The company website said it like this: "Elegant Angel proudly presents, Curvy Girls, the latest production from the award winning directing team of William H. and Sam No. Featuring a collection of the most voluptuous superstars in pornography: Alexis Texas, Shyla Stylez, Phoenix Marie, Adrenalynn, and Jenaveve Jolie. Do not miss these voluptuous starlets seduce the camera lens in epic, mouth watering teases, followed by passionate sex scenes with Mark Ashley, Mick Blue, and Mr. Pete. If you like your girls curvy, then this movie is for you." Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

The technical matters were in fine form and both directors earned some applause here for the way they pulled it off, enhanced by the variations of the tease opening as well as the energy levels displayed by the ladies. In short, Curvy Girls could be the start of a very appealing new series if the right women are brought in with the right guys to get their best performances out of them, reminding me that both Mason and Nutsack have come a very long way in recent years to draw such quality work out of their cast.
