Extras: The best extra was the 17:29 minute long Behind the Scenes feature that gave the ladies a chance to provide some career details, a bit of additional nudity, and some clowning around. There was a playful quality to the way the ladies engaged those around them, even allowing some pawing of their assets, and fans of the gals will want to check it out at least once. There were some trailers, a cum shot recap from the scenes, a photogallery, and a true double sided DVD cover as well as a cast list at the end of the credits too.

Audio/Video Quality: Oil Rigs was presented in the same 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by director Tony Vela for Third Degree in 480i resolution using the MPEG-2 codec favored by standard definition productions. The lighting was almost always decent after the opening scene; optimal on the bodies as it limited the grain, video noise, and shadows other productions seem unable to get rid of far too often; but the crotches were not lit as well as they should have been. The composition of the shots wasn't always completely flattering to the ladies but at least there was rarely any doubt about what was going on and where it was going; given the quality of the cast, this made it more enjoyable too. The fleshtones were generally accurate and the bitrate hovered in the mid 4 Mbps area so it looked pretty decent in most cases. There were no compression artifacts and the visuals were generally handled pretty well here. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English using the standard 192 Kbps bitrate and 48 kHz sampling rate. The music was generic but the vocals; while plain as could be, could be heard in almost all cases; only slightly hollow at times when the ladies were making it clear their limits were being pushed.

Body of Review: Tony Vela is a relatively new director of porn though a mention of the name among production personal seems to show he is not unheard of (by one name or another). I've seen a few of his past efforts for another company but when given a chance to see what he released under the Third Degree banner recently, I jumped at the chance, the movie called Oil Rigs. The idea behind the movie is to provide a curvy cast of cuties that all get their asses oiled up during the tease parts of their scenes, all six ladies looking healthy from my point of view (I'm an ass man, I admit it). This has become something of a cottage industry of late with the success of the Big Wet Asses series at another company but even that one was not the first to display women all shined up by copious amounts of oils so I was curious to see what Tony would come up with. Given the cast had ladies like Alexis Texas, Ricki White, Jessica Lynn, Jayden James, Phoenix Marie, and Kelly Divine, I was confident that it would be difficult to screw this one up as each of these ladies is a top notch performer, all of them gifted with wonderfully round rumps. Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:
