Audio/Video Quality: The Sex Offenders was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame as shot by director Aunt Gertrude for Teravision using the MPEG-2 codec in this 4801 standard definition title. This being the debut of the director, I really did not know what to expect though a friend told me it was like "Alt-porn you could jerk off to" which seemed like an oxymoron to me given some of the highly publicized works by Eon and his pals in recent years. I found the editing to be a lot choppier than the usual titles associated with editing guru Willem Default (the only other places I remember seeing his editing on being at Digital Playground) but quite in line with the Vivid Alt works I rarely get to review these days. The fleshtones were accurate though and the director of photography, Zulu, seemed to know enough to allow the director to take charge and get some heated results, perhaps with more of a stylish approach than I'm used to but nicely done all the same. The composition of the shots favored the ladies and the comic book style of the intros and menus were welcome by this fan, a whole lot of potential for future titles as well. There was minimal grain and video noise too, although some higher resolution might have worked nicely given the cast (and the 5.1 Mbps bitrate was actually fairly good here). The audio was presented in a basic 2.0 Dolby Digital English with a sampling rate of 48 kHz and an audio bitrate of 192 Kbps. The vocals were slightly hollow and bland but the music was an interesting upgrade as provided by bands including Skintight Jaguars and Black Fiction. I am not the world's leading expert on punk themed scores but there did seem to be some separation on the music and it was good enough that I wish an isolated audio score was included as an extra (perhaps as band promo material). So little is done with music most of the time that this added some value for me and I only wish the vocals were equally well handled.

Body of Review: Aunt Gertrude is one of our newest forum members at Xcritic and her outspoken nature is a perfect fit for our quest to provide you with honest information about porn. Her debut fuck flick is being released by Teravision is called The Sex Offenders and while I was initially skeptical, it did not take long for me to need a break when reviewing it today. The movie is a collection of four scenes, most notably an early lesbian scene by hotty Stoya, but each of them had a lot of heated appeal to me. The back cover said it like this: "The debut film from the sick and twisted mind of Aunt Gertrude is fully charged with sexual deviancy and hardcore adrenaline. Introducing Stoyas first penetration rockstar bukakke with Roxy Deville, downtown anal with Holly Wellin and Regan Reese, and high tensioned hole pounding hitchhiker sex with Lexi Belle. The Sex Offenders are rude, lewd and here to stay!" In an effort to clear up some misguided rumors, Gertrude herself chimed in about the movie to tell us: ""The Sex Offenders" was originally conceptualized and funded by my husband, Zulu, who ended up as the director of photography on the flick. he directed and shot what was supposed to be the "kick-off" scene; it was so horrible that it was left on the cutting room floor. after this embarrassment, he knew he wanted to concentrate on his camera work and hand the reigns on over to someone with knowledge and a passion for the adult industry and who could also adapt his original concept into something super filthy and visually appealing. i ended up taking over as director. the first scene we shot as a team, he invited a "director friend" onto the set and that "director friend" (who will remain nameless) spent the day trying to smooth-talk the girls in the typical "sleazy director fashion" also, claiming he was the "guy in charge". i had no tolerance for his bullshit and i made sure that we had only the necessary cast and crew on set at all times. i have to say the we all had a really fun time from start to finish with this movie and i think it shows in the scenes! so, there you have it, the tale behind the movie and what will hopefully clear up any false rumors about who is who and what is what." Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Lexi Belle, the little cutie seen on the upper left hand corner of the cover, was first as a streetwalker giving Dane Cross some public displays of affection in his car as they drove down a popular street, including some road head and a handjob. The scene picked up in the living room where she remained in charge of him, shoving him back to the easy chair as she aggressively slobbed his knob, the music too loud at first but her enthusiasm showing the entire time. The editing and camera work were not what I would have preferred at times but I always had the impression that they were into each other even as Stoya stopped just short of fisting Ariel (the choking likely being enough to give my pal Den a raging fit). Stoya appeared to love being in control too, her ability to wield a strap on dildo enough that I know not to sleep on my stomach should she be around, the scene advertised as her first penetrative work (leaving out it was with another woman of course) but every bit as heated as I would expect of her. Sweet!

Scene Three: Roxy DeVille, the brunette shown partially featured on the lower left hand corner of the cover, was up next as she played a sexually aggressive groupie to Dane Cross and The Backstage Bukkake Boys. Dane was the initial focus of her loving attention but she teased the five others in the room too, choking one with a belt and pawing them before inhaling Dane's cock and allowing him access to her biscuit. The gals took turns slobbing his knob in various states of undressing, both of them seemingly competing for his affections as they took turns sucking and fucking his brains out. Holly was the more active of the pair but only slightly, the cutie trying to bogard the cock and eat Regan's pussy (to have it all, in effect). The vocals were largely limited to moans and groans here but each gal serviced the other and took some modest sized cock, Holly even doing anal before sucking him dry to cumswap with Regan. In all, it was a great way to end the movie, leaving me wanting much more but satisfying my initial needs too.

Summary: The Sex Offenders by director Aunt Gertrude for Teravision might be best described as pure gonzo with an alt twist (or, as my friend put it "Alt-porn you could jerk off to") and the comic book sensibilities it offered perfect for Generation Y types that want intensity but not the "old man" trimmings so often found in modern porn. The relative lack of extras and limited running time held me back from giving this one as high a rating as I wanted to but it easily earned a rating of Recommended from me. Stoya was driven here, Roxy her playful self, Holly showing her need for seed, Ariel perfectly matched for her partner, Regan appealing, and Lexi as cute as ever. The technical qualities were a mixed blessing but the music was a nice touch and I suspect the world will be hearing a lot more from Aunt Gertrude in the future (at least I hope we will!). In short, The Sex Offenders had a lot of replayability, stroke value, and a different enough approach that I look forward to seeing what she will come up with next, maybe even using her infamous silver sharpie to sign a favored body part of mine should we meet. Oh, and the credits provided a slight mystery to be looked into with "A Special Thanks For Nothing To: Silky Johnson (Cunt)" which not only intrigued me but made me laugh out loud.
