Extras: The best extra was the 32:35 minute long Behind the Scenes feature, a variety of people seen in the background (like Brah Bones) but most of the show focusing on the lesbian scene (with Tera's coworkers in the makeup chair). There was some additional tease footage and the infamous Jimmy D. was working on making everything look great, largely succeeding as the shoot came off looking quite fetching. There was then a short interview with Ron Jeremy lasting 10:07 minutes and the mighty Evan Stone clocking in at 8:50 minutes, each initially giving their definition of gonzo before bloopers and other viewpoints were provided. Audio/Video Quality: Tera Goes Gonzo was presented in a nice 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Spyder Jonez for a partnership between Teravision and Vivid Entertainment to be released in this MPEG-2 encoded standard definition release (in 480i resolution). It was definitely an upgrade over some of Spyder's earliest works, the lighting minimizing the levels of grain, video noise, and other visual aspects I care most about. The camera work was different this time too, perhaps thanks to industry veteran Jimmy D. assisting on the project (providing a much more consistent approach here than in his own series of years gone by). The composition of the shots was always optimal (again, probably thanks to Jimmy D.) and Tera looked as good as ever as my main interest in the movie; the way she was allowed to dominate the scenes made sense. The bitrate hovered around the mid 4.7 Mbps range as often as not and while it was less stylish than the works released by other companies, the lack of slow motion will be a major selling point to fans. The audio was presented in a standard 2.0 Dolby Digital English using 192 Kbps and a 48 kHz sampling rate with the dominant aural aspect being the vocals this time, losing the aural style emphasizing music that few people openly appreciate in favor of a straightforward approach tied mainly to gonzo works.

Body of Review: Tera Patrick is one of the most sought after starlets in porn now that Jenna Jameson is retired from working in front of the cameras. Tera's natural beauty has been around for years and the biggest complaint I hear these days relates to how rarely she makes movies, how old the footage is, or that she works mainly with other women or her husband Spyder Jonez. To satisfy some of these concerns, Teravision is now releasing Tera Goes Gonzo, a series of scenes that include four with the legendary hotty herself, including a variety of sexual action by the gal showing her at her prime. The gimmick initially is that the infamous Ed Powers is shooting a movie and tries to get her involved, the movie then veering off into a minimal exploration of what gonzo truly means with some non-sex help by Ron Jeremy and Evan Stone to add entertainment value. The cover said it like this: "Tera Patrick, the goddess of adult entertainment, has gone gonzo with legendary pornographer, Ed Powers. Watch Tera go back to basics and do all the nastiest sucking and fucking that made her the Queen of Porn." Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Tera Patrick, the busty babe on the front cover, was up first as she walked along the street in a schoolgirl outfit, approached by well known pornographer Ed Powers (one of the nicest guys in porn for years) to model for him. Aside from the obvious comments I could make about her age versus the scenario (Tera looked far too good to be a girl), it was a cute setup with Ed holding a small camera as he shot the naïve acting lady in the game room. The money gained her interest and the scene itself bounced between the home camera look (complete with a time code at the bottom of the screen) and a professional shot where both players could be seen. Ed did not have sex with her (whew!) but he "directed" her as she stripped off her restrictive clothing in such a way that it appealed to the pervert in me, allowing me to place myself in Ed's shoes as the scene continued. I supposed I would have liked a bit less of the home camera look but Tera instinctively knew how to treat the situation and milk it for all it was worth, the gal masturbating with her hand and a glass dildo before it all ended. While she did not appear to truly get off here, it was a nice opening scene as far as I was concerned.

Scene Two: Stefani Morgan, Kelle Marie, and Tera Patrick were up next as the trio of tasty babes had a lesbian scene together. The downside of the action was how toy heavy it became and that none of the ladies appeared to be into the action, too much attention paid to the camera not to my liking despite some light taste testing applied.

Scene Three: Daisy Marie, a sexy little Latina with a great ass, was up next as part of a skit where Spyder Jonez demonstrated the power of porn, snapping his fingers to make her appear in a bikini, then naked, and then him naked so she could suck him off. Daisy spouted off a bunch of dirty talk in Spanish, blowing the guy until he was hard enough for her to vaginally ride. She was an active rider here and heavily tattooed Spyder let her have at it, the feisty gal doing a bunch of taste testing in between positions. It was a surprisingly warmed scene.

Scene Four: Tera Patrick, dressed in a super hot blue bikini, was up next in a large swimming pool on an overcast day, performing a striptease while she frolicked in the water. This was after a cute bit by Ron Jeremy about people fast forwarding past the talking parts of porn, something I do when not reviewing many scenes myself. Tera looked fit and fine, proving she was more attractive when the scene was shot than when she was a mere gonzo chick years ago. She came to the edge of the pool to start sucking off an anonymous cock, looking like that of Spyder Jonez though I admit to being no expert on such things. The guy kept wrapped up and clothed while staying off camera, elevating the fantasy that it could have been anyone (except me, my cock it too small). Seriously though, she could have kept teasing as far as I was concerned but it was a strong blowjob all the same, using mouth and hand in POV fashion until she milked him dry (using some dirty talk along the way). Scene Five: Roxy DeVille, a personal favorite of mine with her long mane of black hair and fishnet stockings enhancing her look, was up next as she worked with Nick Jacobs in the living room. Evan Stone had humorously introduced the scene and the gal walked into the set to eye Nick, dropping to her knees to inhale his meat pipe aggressively. Summary: Tera Goes Gonzo by director Spyder Jonez for Teravision would have been even better had Tera been in all the scenes but this was more of her work in a single flick in a very long time, the production values and modest humor making it a title I could rate as Recommended. I admit that I have long been a fan of hers and that I'm not into circus act sex (of which virtually none was present here) so your mileage may vary but this is the kind of movie that Teravision seems to excel at; straightforward porn without the trimmings but leaving just enough pleasantries to stand out. In short, Tera Goes Gonzo should work perfectly for her fans as the type of movie she should make more of these days, offering a variety of Tera in action.
