Extras: The best bonus for most fans will be the three edited scenes starring Sunny that lasted 38:58 minutes as described below. Keep in mind that these were not the complete scenes but still had plenty of stroke value for you to appreciate, I only wished they had been newly shot for the movie itself. There was also a biography for Sunny Leone, just a short text one but it might give a new fan some insights as to her career path at Vivid. There was some spam and trailers to Penny Flame's Expert Guide to Handjobs, Monique's Been Blackmaled, The Chauffer's Daughter, and Burn as well. The credits listed a BTS feature by Graham Crack Herr (edited by "Rio Jim") but it was not present on the DVD release, no points deducted since it was not advertised on the cover.

Audio/Video Quality: The Other Side of Sunny was presented in the same 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color it was shot in by director B. Skow for Vivid Entertainment using the standard definition MPEG-2 codec in 480i resolution. For those unfamiliar with his background, suffice it to say that his experience outside of porn is superior to many inside the industry and it shows up in his movies, including this one as shot in 1080i high definition, though presented in the SD format (for now) using 1080i to provide a lot of resolution supporting some of the effects (making it look more like a real movie than just a porno). The lighting was well handled and this added to the pleasure of watching the gals in play as the lengthy scenes gave them enough freedom to explore their sexuality. The composition of the camera angles and lighting were almost always optimal this time, Skow seeing fit to try and enhance the look of the ladies at every turn as possible. The fleshtones were accurate too and the DVD mastering was well done (if only in a bitrate hovering around 4.3 Mbps), making it a mixed bag in terms of visual quality; leaning towards above average. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English (in 192 Kbps with a 48 kHz sampling rate) offering with the vocals sounding flat and the music pretty decent. For some reason, the levels were about the same as usual but aside from the added background noise, the dynamic range was average and the separation of the vocal track nonexistent.

Body of Review: Sunny Leone is one of the most physically attractive ladies to enter the porn industry in quite some time, her exotic looks appealing to a wide range of men and women alike, always looking her best when directed by B. Skow for Vivid Entertainment. I know a number of folks were not as taken with her since she initially only did women but as she expanded her repertoire to doing a guy (her then fiancé), interest in seeing more of her blossomed quickly, resulting in the subject of today's review of The Other Side of Sunny. The movie provides five lengthy scenes with Sunny herself starring in three of them, a bonus given she does men but also explores her kinkier side. My hopes for the movie ran very high given the artistic look of the cover (primarily because it also mentioned the director I knew would bring home the goods) and I figured there are far worse ways of spending three hours than watching the latest Sunny Leone offering by Skow himself. Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Ice: Sunny Leone, the exotic and curvy babe featured on the front cover, was up first in a scene where she began with some tease using ice cubes but ended up with her then boyfriend Matt Erickson. The length of all the scenes allowed for the performers to shine during the tease especially, Sunny moving from the kitchen to the outside garage where Matt went down on her, Sunny aggressively slobbing his knob to reciprocate as her hand joined her lips to wrap around his rod to polish him soundly. Whatever you've heard about their relationship or relatively recent breakup, there was a lot more chemistry between the couple than you will normally find in a performance (it wasn't the acted out kind from what I could tell). To me, the title proved accurate, far more so than similar efforts over the years where the term "lust" would have been more appropriate or "acts like" could have been a better descriptor. When she was giving him a blowjob, she was really seeking to please him but putting on a show too, providing far more effort than I can recall any gal in the past who crossed over from lesbian to straight genres. Summary: The Other Side of Sunny by director B. Skow for Vivid Entertainment served as a solid showcase for Sunny Leone as her limits continue to expand, though she fell short of doing any fisting as she claimed during the ending credits. I admit that I find her exceptionally attractive and hope her previous limits of only doing other women or the one man in her life (not Matt anymore) are cast aside to go even further, especially if she can display the kind of chemistry with other men as she did here. I rated the show as Recommended but any fan of the young lady should consider this one they will need for their collection, the amount of fuck for the buck and Sunny Leone action included certainly worthy of checking out. In short, The Other Side of Sunny did manage to show her doing more sexually oriented tricks than in previous releases so if you find her even remotely appealing, give this one a chance (you might be surprised at how far she has come).
