Extras: The best extra was the 6:30 minute long Behind the Scenes feature even though it was far too short. It had some of the humor from the set and relied on the good times of the production instead of the goofy (but well liked) pop up videos used in Robby's other productions. Allyssa began by eating a banana on the bed as she spoke with Robby, an accident in the hallway, and a display of how wet she was then moved cute Gabriella protesting Scott's size, some limited Heather footage, ending with Jessie's nipple erections working for the director and James' goofy improvisation on the couch with Sarah. Audio/Video Quality: Hard Candy 4 was presented in 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Robby D. for Digital Playground using the MPEG-2 codec in the standard definition release with a 480 resolution. The lighting was decent here, about as good as expected given this was Robby's standard type of gonzo, limiting the amounts of grain and video noise. While I generally prefer stronger lighting in my gonzo porn, Robby has a way of showing it all with less light, the tint of the colors only slightly off as a result. The way the scenes were shot and edited was markedly similar in the scenes, though the composition of the angles was changed up a bit depending on the scene in question; providing a variety of styles to enjoy. The composition of the shots and the editing enhanced the look of the ladies more than a little bit too, proving what this critic has to say about the production team led by Robby (Sidney Michaels was credited as editor, Brah Bones as Production Manager, etc.). The DVD mastering showed no obvious compression artifacts (the bitrate varying but often staying around the 5.7 Mbps range when I paid attention) but this was not his clearest effort to date. This one didn't look quite as polished as his more recent titles but a quick look at the production date gave me the impression that this was shot quite a while back and looked much like the titles shot concurrently. The audio was presented in a 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround English (using an audio bitrate of 448 Kbps and the usual 48 kHz sampling rate) with a minimalist leaning similar to the rest of the Jack series, with the vocals always dominating the audio track as I like it. While there wasn't much separation between the channels though the ladies were almost always clearly heard and their moans added to the enjoyment of the show for those keeping track.

Body of Review: Gabriella Fox is a cute and curvy new contract star working for Digital Playground. Already receiving critical praise and lots of love from fans, the attractive brunette is poised to break out in 2009 with a variety of projects designed to maximize her appeal, a precursor being Hard Candy 4 that comes out at the end of next month. As with Hard Candy 3, the movie comes from the twisted mind of director Robby D. with the added bonus that it will be released under his infamous Hand Held Pictures line, virtually guaranteeing it will contain even more hardcore action than usual. The theme of the series has long been established as catering to fans that appreciate younger performers that have not been in dozens of scenes, making Gabriella a prime candidate as the featured hotty on the front cover. With five lengthy vignettes of decadent sexuality (lasting nearly two and a half hours), I expected a lot of stroke value from the flick, the casting offering me lots of reasons to appreciate the potential provided. Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Sarah Alba, Jessie Alba, and James Deen, started off the show with something of a weird scene for the company, James coming over to see Jessie but ending up with her mother (Sarah) making a move on the guy.
