Extras: The best extra was easily the 30:35 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Debby Pachard where the cast was quizzed on their political knowledge (Jada faring the worst but showing her knowledge of "strong black woman" Dr. Condoleezza Rice) and making some sharp points (Evan suggesting Republicans avoid this movie altogether). It was actually one of the better BTS's from the company in quite some time too so give it a look. There were also trailers for Hustler titles, a slide show, and some spam.

Audio/Video Quality: Who's Nailin' Paylin? was presented in a fetching 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen color by director Jerome Tanner for Hustler in the MPEG-2 codec used for virtually all standard definition releases these days (employing the usual 480i resolution too). The picture was well lit, sharp & crisp as I've ever seen a movie from Hustler; the fleshtones accurate and little grain to fuss about. The composition of the camera angles worked well for most of the ladies, their bodies enhanced in most cases but still looking quite healthy. The editing was on the choppy side, sometimes leaving a position too soon, almost as if covering up some shooting issues from the location; yet I thought a fair amount of improvement was shown from the last time I saw an original title from the company, the loss of focus being the only real problem in a few scenes. The bitrate varied a lot, staying in the mid 5.1 Mbps range a lot, resulting in no noticed aliasing or compression artifacts. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English under the usual 192 Kbps and 48 kHz sampling rate; little separation or dynamic range noticed in the vocals or music for those of you wanting an upgrade by the series as much as I do. Still, the vocals were clear in their limited use, be it the narration of the scenes or during the vignettes.

Body of Review: Hustler is one of the most successful adult companies in the world when it comes to parodies and political satire, the magazine fighting for 1st Amendment rights all the way to the highest courts in the land back in the 1970's. These days, their record is not quite as solid in terms of their movies but I've enjoyed watching shows they made or distributed such as This Ain't the Munsters XXX and the award winning Not the Bradys XXX so when I heard they had employed director Jerome Tanner to revisit their political roots, I was intrigued to say the least. As expected, the topic of the political satire was Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin, her right wing philosophies making her an easy target for the adult entertainment industry, the clever title being Who's Nailin' Paylin?: Adventures of a Hockey MILF. Presented with a number of cute news clips by Mike Horner on "The Orally Factor" (parody of the Bill O'Reilly show), the movie used longtime hotty Lisa Ann as the lead character, changing the name of the Alaskan governor slightly as a means of reducing the likelihood of costly but winnable lawsuits. While I would have enjoyed it even more had she had a scene with a Barry Obama impersonator too, the idea alone has drawn a lot of attention to porn and sales have been a lot higher than normal (something I have stated for years to companies, be original and use high profile targets to gain the most mainstream press mileage). Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: The Russians Are Cumming: Lisa Ann, the busty brunette featured in the movie and on the front cover, was up first as the business-suit attired governor in the frosty wastelands of Alaska. She answered the door to find a pair of drunken Russian soldiers needing assistance with their broken down tank as played by Mick Blue and Sascha. The men flirted with her and she responded well, all three getting naked for her to suck them off and allow them to fuck her pussy. Lisa is a talented fellatrix and she alternated between the guys as the camera tried to get the best angles possible (rarely succeeding here as it was too close). Scene Two: The Intern: Holly West, a cute brunette playing a party aide, was up next as she cheated with Alec Knight (the moper playing Sarah's cheating husband) in the hotel room. The wooden dialogue wasn't bad, Holly's distain for the candidate weakened by the presentation more than the spotty written material. Holly got rid of her boss so that she could give a few lessons to Alec, dropping to her knees to slob his knob actively. The way she wrapped her mouth around the cock showed she was decent at blowjobs (albeit not as good as Lisa was) and she treated Alec as though he was the only person in the room. The dirty talk was intermittent and he went down on her before they screwed vaginally and anally, Holly less active in most positions sadly enough. The humor once again centered on some leftist pandering but it did make me smile a few times, Evan showing her his knowledge of protecting her from witchcraft via sex. Her clothing came off slowly as he worked her over orally, her pussy and titties responding well as she enjoyed his attentive tongue. He began nailing her vaginally before she went to give him a hummer, slipping into a 69 so both could have some oral fun. Sindee was moderately active here as she rode the cock, Evan driving the scene for the most part as she held on for dear life. Scene Five: At the Press Club: Lisa Ann, Nina Hartley, and Jada Fire, were up last after a press conference showing why Lisa was not just another lame imitator as some of the other parody types were. The nonsensical double speak aside, Nina was going down on Lisa at the podium (the reason why her speech was so lame) and Jada (as Condi Rice) entered in to join them with a few terms of her own to keep quiet about the lesbian tryst. The lingerie looked good on the ladies and there was never any doubt about how much they liked doing each other, all of them having some MILF appeal as they ate box, sucked on titties, and rubbed each other. The toys came out soon enough and penetrated everyone but the gals relied more on fingers in that aspect of the production along with some over the top vocals. While not the best scene of the bunch, it did end the movie on a positive note too, the credits rolling immediately afterwards.

Summary: Who's Nailin' Paylin? by director Jerome Tanner for Hustler was a nice step forward from the company's recent efforts and showed that writer "Roger Krypton" was better than I had previously given him credit for. The dialogue could have been more politically accurate and pointed but the production was churned out in record time to take advantage of the election and did a decent job regardless of what you may have heard. The levels of replay value and strokability were higher than average and as a showcase for Lisa Ann, the movie warranted a rating of Recommended so consider this my recommendation for those of you that like scoring with hockey moms and political MILFs. In short, Who's Nailin' Paylin?: Adventures of a Hockey MILF had more hits than misses this time and will hopefully open up a wider variety of political satire efforts by a company that was practically founded on them in the written pages of Hustler Magazine, proving the company did not have to rely completely on outsiders to make their best works.
