Audio/Video Quality: Girls Will Be Girls 4 was presented in a very appealing 1.78:1 ratio widescreen color as shot by director Sid Knox for Diabolic using the VC-1 codec for the high definition release (the bitrate upgraded and the 1080i resolution enhancing the experience). The standard definition version was encoded in MPEG-2 with a 480i resolution, the Blu-ray looking especially better in the well lit portions of the scenes with the additional detail making the ladies look better in most cases. The lighting was not always optimal but it generally limited the grain, video noise, and shadows other productions seem unable to get rid of far too often; the crotches again not as consistently well lit as they should have been. The composition of the shots weren't always completely flattering to the ladies but at least there was rarely any doubt about what was going on and where it was going; given the quality of the cast, this made it more enjoyable too. The fleshtones were generally accurate and the bitrate hovered in the 21.1 Mbps area for Blu-ray and 4.5 Mbps in standard definition so it did not look bad at all. There were no compression artifacts and the visuals were generally handled pretty well here, except the lighting did tend to be slightly on the weak side at times. The audio was still presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English using the standard 192 Kbps bitrate and 48 kHz sampling rate, only slightly different from the SD version for those who care. The music was generic but the vocals; while plain as could be, could be heard in almost all cases; only slightly hollow at times when the ladies were making it clear their limits were being pushed.

Body of Review: Sid Knox is the capable director over at Diabolic that fills whatever niche is needed when he shoots his titles, always willing to earn his keep by capturing sex scenes for the rest of us to pleasure ourselves with. The latest work of his making it my way came in the form of Girls Will Be Girls 4 with both the standard definition version as well as the Blu-ray high definition version sent to allow me to compare the two against one another. For those unfamiliar with the series, it pairs off two ladies together to have heated lesbian sex, some toy use and lots of oral involved to make sure they get off. There were no storylines and little dialogue outside of the general moans you might expect from such a title, a few of the pairings going beyond the "gay for pay" or "lipstick lesbian" approach so common in the genre. Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Georgia Jones, the beauty on the top of the front cover, and lean hotty Celeste Star as seen underneath her, were up next as they teased and landed in bed together to satiate their carnal needs. The cover appeared to be airbrushed when compared to the high definition version but the ladies were sufficiently attractive to pull off the look unlike a few of their peers. The majority of time was spent on them alternating going down on each other at first, eating box and fingering one another to suit themselves just fine. Some vibrators were used here but they did not appear to be from the well received Evolved Novelty line, the rest of the scenes using those including some reviewed here. The expressions on their faces were such that I felt that were having fun and into the action, exploring each other as they worked the toys and tongues on twats and tits. While there was no population pudding, genetic juice, or lame men about, the scene had some replay value for me, especially in the Blu-ray version.

Scene Two: Sophia Santi, the hotty former contract star at Digital Playground, and sexy Latina Jenaveve Jolie were up next and their pink & black lingerie enhanced their forms a lot as they pawed each other. Unlike the last pair, these gals were in the mood to mingle, no tease footage allowed as they jumped right into the action with saliva glistening up the pussies before their juices began flowing. Sophia was a net receiver of head in the beginning, allowing Jenaveve to go at her crotch full bore once they warmed up. The licking and fingering included precious little lip to lip contact so I did not get the impression that they were into one another but the mechanical energy and enthusiasm was decent. It was not their best work but I'd have been their fluffer if they needed me that day.

Scene Three: Mia Presley, looking a bit ragged, and sexy redhead Faye Reagan (with endless freckles) were up next in the bathroom. They caressed each other as they made out, Mia all too concerned with the camera and Faye a bit put off by her partner's aggressive hands. As they got to know one another, Faye came around though and they served up a moderate amount of heat generated by following the formula, the hand to gland techniques giving way to their oral ministrations. This was one of the slower scenes in the movie overall though, the ladies slow to warm to each other and Faye always seeming like she was not well versed in lesbian action. Like most of the scenes, the toys came from the Evolved Novelties line sponsored by the company, the bathroom setting just the place to appreciate the good vibrations they encountered as a result.

Scene Four: Devi Emmerson, a sweet looking brunette, and youthful Nicole Ray, were up next with Devi giving a tease show before her partner joined her. Nicole pushed Devi to the bed and began eating her out, not showing much chemistry but certainly coming across like she was no stranger to working with another lady. The baby blue toy came early this time too, penetrating Devi's sweet box as Nicole continued to go down on her, the gals swapping out (and using another toy, dark purple in color) to show each could give as well as they received. They ended their short bout of babe boning by rubbing crotches together, doing so awkwardly but showing some smiles as they ended their scene.

Scene Five: Roxy DeVille, a hot brunette that I have long appreciated as a favorite, and sultry Kristina Rose were up next; each wearing a neon pink and black outfit that stimulated the eye. Roxy began with a tease on the bed but Kristina was determined to diddle her pal to oblivion, some tongue action helping her along as the scene progressed. I wasn't keen on the spitting involved but the elevated respiration rate and way they performed helped make it fun to watch, relying more on their carnal instincts than a sense of personal chemistry. Roxy was no slouch in the head giving department either though, using a toy from the company line to get Kristina on the brink of bliss until they swapped roles once again. Roxy always looks good bent over given that sweet, fleshy ass of hers so the minimal anal that ensued also added some replay value for me. Whew!

Summary: Girls Will Be Girls 4 by director Sid Knox for Diabolic might not have been his best work to date but it was certainly worth a rating of Recommended for those of you that like lesbian light play with toys included as a regular event. The technical values of the high definition Blu-ray version impressed me most on my big screen television just as the value of the standard definition was pleasing to me (coming in at under half the price) but if you are properly equipped, try the high definition version to see why so many people are converting. In short, Girls Will Be Girls 4 played up the lipstick lesbian angle more than a little but some of the ladies were definitely into gals more than men so give it a look in either version to see why I liked it so much.
