Extras: The best extra was easily the 9:21 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Jamal Johnson and Evul Atheng. Audio/Video Quality: Jana Cova Scream was presented in the usual 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color as envisioned by director Celeste for Digital Playground in the usual MPEG-2 codec reserved for standard definition releases (shot in 1080 but down converted to this 480i presentation). The high end equipment and skilled crew of regulars assisted director of photography Robby to make this release look really sharp; losing the artistic style that doesn't always work so well for me. In fact, the technical matters showed Robby's influence serving nicely to ground the scenes with less of the arty farty filters and effects that the director sometimes uses. The lighting was generally solid here, reducing the grain, video noise, and other defects that sometimes arise in making porn on a budget; favoring a clear focus in some cases that I was convinced worked very well. Kurt Tortcher was the editor and he did okay with the footage provided him, some of the camerawork making it tougher to clean up but still better than earlier works. The DVD mastering revealing no compression artifacts; with the bitrate for the visuals hovering around the mid 4.8 Mbps this time with few flaws but not as low in resolution as previous efforts in related showcase efforts from prior to last year. The audio was presented in a 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround English using a 384 Kbps bitrate and 48 kHz sampling rate; over twice that of most porn made these days, with a minimalist leaning that seemed unique in most ways to productions outside of the Jack series, but the vocals did not always dominate the audio track as I like it so your mileage may vary. There wasn't much separation between the channels, if any outside of the intermittent music, but the ladies were always clearly heard here.

Body of Review: Jana Cova was of my favorite contract gals shot by Celeste for Digital Playground over the years. Her stunning good looks, lithe young frame, and playful attitude always managed to make me smile with a boner in my pants so of course it makes me happy knowing that the company still has some unreleased footage of her left in their extensive collection that comes out from time to time, next year being the next opportunity to see some more in Jana Cova Scream. As a showcase piece starring the blond babe, it should be noted that she was in 60% of the scenes and also offered up repeatedly in the BTS (between the humorous bits of course). Like other efforts in the series, it was a mixed batch of sexual decadence but the cast provided some anal sex, heated lesbian trysts, and a bit of everything without the old style Celeste approach as there were vocals to go with the action. Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Jana Cova, the blue eyed, blond haired hotty featured on the front cover, was up first with Alektra Blue, and Angie Savage on the large four poster bed; the trio engaging in frisky sexually charged games such as showing their oral prowess on beer bottles. While I would have loved to see this prowess translated onto some cock, especially my own, it did not happen (of course) but the gals looked exceedingly hot all the same. Setting down the bottles, they proceeded to kiss and ravage each other orally, newcomer Angie getting the full attention of her new playmates as they fingered and ate her out, spending some time on each other as well. There was some energy and enthusiasm to the lesbian tryst that I appreciated, the eventual use of penetrative toys expected but not really enhancing to the chemistry between the gals, Jana preferring to let her tongue do her talking for her (pun intended). Each gal received a turn with the toy and as the center of attention too, Alektra seemingly preferring it in her sweet little ass but as passionate as her two friends. It was a heated way to begin the movie, Jana's decision to only do women on the small screen being the sole limitation of the scene.

Brianna has been one of my favorite curvy gals on the past few years and Jana wore such great booty shorts that the replay value with the scene on "pause" itself was assured, their kissing and caressing allowing the camera to more fully explore their physical attributes as they started stripping each other down. Whether or not there existed real chemistry or if the pair of ladies were just able to convey a heated sense of sensuality is something I'll leave up to those of you that watch this one when it comes out in February next year but the editing even kept going back to Jana's fantastic ass as it swallowed her shorts (the editing was uneven in this particular scene though, at times making me wish Tortcher took more time with it). Still, the smeared lipstick, the abundance of oral, the 69, and then the mutual toy masturbation all helped make it strokable with some decent replay value, the way they tasted each other's toys helping to keep it memorable.

Scene Four: Rachel Roxxx, a curvy brunette like one you might find at the neighborhood pub, was up next on the couch with studly Tommy Gunn, the two making small talk as they felt each other up and slowly took off their clothing. Andie had on some booty shorts and a white crop top, her decadent sense of seduction relying on scaring Jana in what could arguably be referred to as the main tie to the other volumes in the "Scream" series put out by the company. The ladies kissed, stripped, and gained sweet access to one another orally as expected, the scene coming off as a lipstick lesbian act more than the previous outings by Jana and the female cast. Andie did look good with her mane of hair though and Jana has always been a favorite of mine, the gal finishing up the scene with some dry humping instead of obnoxious toys. The scene probably looked the weakest of any in the movie too but there was no denying the appeal of these two engaging in frisky play.

Summary: Jana Cova Scream by director Celeste for Digital Playground was a fitting cap to Jana Cova's career with the company, the three scenes she was in all managing to show why she was worthy of their attention in the first place. Her sleek figure, incredible blue eyes, and gorgeous face all managed to maintain my interest for a long time in an industry where disposable hotties are a given, the nearly two hours of heated humping combined with the hilarious BTS feature providing sufficient entertainment value to merit a Recommended rating. In short, Jana Cova Scream may not have really played up the thematic elements of the series very much but conceptual director Celeste had a very capable crew to make sure that Jana was always looking her best. Rumors of this being her last scenes with the company aside, check this one out if you are a fan of Jana Cova.
