Extras: The first disc had a unique set of extras designed for it, including a great 46:49 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Tony Flush. I thought Lisa Ann and Julia Ann were really amusing here but even the crew provided some entertaining anecdotes but Chris used Lee Garland over Nicole DD for makeup so I missed out on her curvy figure until disc two. The second disc Behind the Scenes feature lasted 56:28 minutes, was full of Nicole action, and had Chris worried about the concrete soaked with oil (understated but amusing). There was also a helpful cast list, 2 lengthy photogalleries, a pop shot compilation from the scenes on each disc, trailers to shows like Internal Damnation 2, Pretty As They Cum, Dirty Rotten Mother Fuckers 2, Oil Overload, The Interactive Gina Lynn, Squirt Machines, and
, and some websites; each disc set up as though it was a separate movie given the distribution of the extras here.

Audio/Video Quality: Oil Overload 2 was presented in an appealingly clear 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Chris Streams for Jules Jordan Video as presented in the MPEG-2 format so common to standard definition titles (with 480i resolution). The lighting was pretty good, limiting the grain and other visual flaws in the open settings of the house, no scenes going far outside the box in terms of centering on dark rooms this time. The composition of the shots was largely enhancing to the ladies though as they diddled themselves or took on their partners. There were no compression artifacts (the bitrate hovering in the 4.4 Mbps range most of the time I paid any attention to it) but the fleshtones were not always what I expected them to be, making this one visually decent for me and not the best I've seen from Chris in the past. This was largely an upgrade from his last outing though and given the copious amounts of oil tossed about on a superior cast, I really had little to complain about. The 2.0 Dolby Digital English audio (in 192 Kbps with a 48 kHz sampling rate) was a bit more basic with no separation or major dynamic range but I could always hear what was said and the music didn't interfere with my viewing pleasure. The music dominated during the tease sequences and fans may find this a marked change for the director from most of his works to date.

Body of Review: Chris Streams showed the difference being distributed by Jules Jordan Video made for his fuck flicks awhile back, upgrading every aspect of his works as soon as he went on his own and wasn't held back. One of his best titles in ten+ years of shooting was Oil Overload 1 and given how it literally blew away most volumes of rival Big Wet Asses in terms of fuck for the buck, excellent casting, and superior presentation, I was charged up when I found out a sequel, Oil Overload 2: Special Edition, was being released. I admit to enjoying seeing gals slicked up with baby oil and teasing like crazy before showing the kind of heated antics that have become so popular but even the quickest look at the casting on the double disc set insured that I could ride out the cold winter months no matter what else came out after the 2009 AEE was finished with. Seeing gals like Kristina Rose, Lisa Ann, Julia Ann, Phoenix Marie, and Adrianna Nicole (just to mention some of them) give their all reminded me of why the first volume won a coveted place on the Xcritic Top 10 List for 2008, perhaps securing a place for this one too if it played out as well as it seemed likely to do. Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Phoenix Marie, the curvy blond seen on the upper right hand corner of the front cover, was up first as she crawled about the floor wearing black lingerie. Summary: Oil Overload 2 by director Chris Streams for Jules Jordan Video had some technical issues with regard to the lighting and camera angles at times, resulting in some tint and saturation issues I wish had been better handled yet the raw energy and enthusiasm of each lady in the movie was undeniable, making the double disc set a rare one indeed for the levels of strokable fuck for the buck and replayability. The extras and casting were also enough to add the proverbial cherry on top that resulted in my rating the movie as an Xcritic Pick, the first of the new year and well deserved, though not surprising considering the history of the series as mentioned above. In short, Oil Overload 2: Special Edition, much like Oil Overload 1 before it, was the kind of oil drenched fuck flick that fans of the current oil craze will want to delve into if they want a series of scenes that are less dependent on a specific formula than other titles on the market and some creative use of the lubricant on the hottest ladies available.
