Extras: After starting off with heaps of spam (with cute Sunny Leone and others hawking the company's stuff), the rest of the extras took on a new light. There were not many of them, a handful of trailers and more spam, but the length of the scenes largely made up for it again. This time, there was an advertised BTS on the back cover but unless they were referring to the footage already contained in the scenes themselves, there was no such feature. There was, however, a set of two additional clips of Keira Kensley with Alex Gonz going at it, one lasting 6:21 minutes and the other lasting 9:41 minutes that included a double cream pie and more of the same heat she generated in her scene for the movie (thanks to Vivid for listening about providing all new bonus footage!) .

Audio/Video Quality: Brand New Faces 15: MILF Edition was presented in the same 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color it was shot in by director B. Skow for Vivid Entertainment using the standard definition MPEG-2 codec. For those unfamiliar with his background, suffice it to say that his experience outside of porn is superior to many inside the industry and it shows up in his movies, including this one as shot in HD, though presented in the SD format (for now) as shot in 1080i to provide a lot of resolution supporting some of the effects (making it look more like a real movie than just a porno). The lighting was well handled and this added to the pleasure of watching the gals in play as the lengthy scenes gave them enough freedom to explore what was advertised as their first scenes (with a money back guarantee advertised on the back cover). The composition of the camera angles and lighting were almost always optimal this time, Skow seeing fit to try and enhance the look of the five ladies at every turn as possible. The fleshtones were accurate this time and the DVD mastering was well done (if in a bitrate hovering around 3.4 Mbps), making it a mixed bag in terms of visual quality; leaning towards above average and showing some additional grain this time. Some will rail about the watermark on the lower right hand corner of the scenes but it went away pretty quickly so don't worry about it; my biggest complaint being that having reviewed one of the series in Blu-Ray last year, the standard definition follow ups seem a bit lifeless by comparison. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English (in 192 Kbps with a 48 kHz sampling rate) offering with the vocals sounding flat and the music pretty decent. For some reason, the levels were about the same as usual but aside from the added background noise, the dynamic range was average and the separation of the vocal track nonexistent.

Body of Review: B. Skow has been the driving force at Vivid Entertainment in terms of providing good looking porn in recent years; typically bringing something unique to the mix as he enhanced the performances of the ladies he shot for the company under so many sets of circumstances. His latest release is a bit different in that it was a series of lengthy scenes called Brand New Faces 15: MILF Edition; a movie dedicated to showcasing five lovely ladies in their first scenes for porn and the sequel to the popular Brand New Faces 14 I saw recently. The porn industry is replete with gals claiming to be in their first scenes ever but the catch this time was the cover promising a "100% Money-Back Guarantee" that these were the first times the ladies were on film. Be that as it may, the cover also promised that the scenes were candid and given my experience with newcomers, I was hoping Skow could pull a rabbit out of a hat and also make them award winning performances. Also of interest to me was the fact that Skow's name appeared nowhere on the cover either front or back, strange considering the award winning director is a major selling point thanks to his skill with the camera as well as the ladies. This volume was a bit different in that it showcased four MILFs (older women with curvier bodies) as well as provided five scenes instead of the series standard four, shortening the pairings a bit but still offering up some very heated fucking footage. Something kind of unique in porn considering most MILF movies tend to use very established performers rather than newcomers. If you're still interested, here's a quick glimpse into the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used:

Scene One: Felony Foreplay, the large breasted brunette featured on the front cover, was up first and the first impression I had of her was how much she reminded me of a pornified Tina Tyler. She provided the usual interview by Skow, admitting to having a freaky side and having been brought into the fold by Marcus London, her scene partner of the day. Hailing from Spokane, she discussed her career as a feature dancer (for 14 years) and claiming to be 32 years old, her "platinum pussy" exciting the director even before he reveled in feeling her up. His excitement at dealing with the ladies is a standard feature of the series, elevating the infectious energy of the ladies as they virtually always get friskier as a result. The showcasing tease footage proved her to be a treat too, the solo masturbation action allowing her to get wet before she and Marcus went at it. The pair kissed anxiously and warmed each other up, each communicating what they liked throughout the foreplay and penetration. Felony's blowjob was slow and seductive, her active vaginal riding skills the type I'd like to try out myself. Scene Two: Jezebel Dahl, a far leaner brunette with minimal breasts, struck me initially as somewhat younger than Felony (or at least trying to look younger), her nervous energy more pronounced than the first scene too, this one shot much earlier than expected (4/7/08). Jezebel soon admitted to being 38 years old, making Skow happier as she was close to his age but looked younger. The scene progressed as expected with her undressing, the director feeling her up, and some tease during a solo masturbation act before she ended up working with Alex Gonz. As always, they moved to the bed where he ate her out, positioning her as he opened her up to the benefits of starring in a scene. Scene Four: Keira Kensley, a cutie from Ireland with the most MILF-ish body of the cast, was up next and as she followed the formulaic approach the series is known for, it occurred to me that she looked her stated age (35) and wanted to be there without hesitation. Her enthusiasm was appreciated and she appeared to adore scene partner Alex Gonz, the rest of the bonus scenes including the pair (as shot on 9/21/2008). Her boyfriend was apparently into her doing this (or would be), her cougar dynamic carrying forth into her personal life from what she disclosed. There was less solo work this time and she went right into smoking his pole, the couple moving quickly into a 69 position as she displayed her love of cock. While most of the others had their moments in their respective scenes, Keira really got into the exhibitionistic tendencies she bragged about during the interview, making the scene the best of the batch in some ways. I prefer seeing the rough edges of newcomers and while I'll take Skow's word for the scene being her first, something about her struck me as jaded. Skow was very invasive with her (poking his fingers inside of her a lot more than usual) and the polished manner in which she carried on limited the replay value for me but not altogether. Jerry ate her and went right to banging her pussy, Rhiannon loving the cock enough to drop to her knees to begin a combination blowjob/hand to gland attack. I can't definitively state that none of them have shot a professional scene before but unlike so many titles that Vivid sits on for years as part of their marketing approach, Brand New Faces 15: MILF Edition was rushed right to the pressing plant to jump on the newness factor (something other companies seem to have embraced in the past as many of you like to see "firsts", real or imagined). Whatever the reality of the marketing claim though, all four of the ladies showed some special appeal based on their experience more than their youth this time and deserve some accolades for providing enough fuck for the buck, strokability, and replay value to make this a keeper for your collection. Skow does it again with his attentive nature to make these five ladies shine better than his peers could hope to, the series website probably the best thing the company has provided in a long time in terms of consistent quality. I admit when Skow talked to me about this one at the 2009 AEE I was somewhat skeptical but he delivered the goods yet again, this time held back only by the lack of high definition (one of the series has made it to Blu-ray so far) but clearly one of the best volumes to date.
