The footage included was focused mostly on the photoshoots and the music overwhelmed the vocals (at least initially). There was a photogallery, some trailers, and lots of spam to contend with as well but Jade did try to give her short interview with Alexis Texas some material of interest.

Audio/Video Quality: Impulsive Sex Acts was presented in a nicely enhanced 1.78:1 ratio widescreen color as shot by director Anton "Vincent Voss" Slayer for Metro/FusXion for release in 480i resolution using the MPEG-2 codec. The majority of action took place inside a house with a single scene outside by the pool but the lighting was typically not up to par here, not always eliminating the usual shadows, grain, and video noise indicative of porn. The camera angles and editing were handled as well as a super low budget would allow for, the ladies being showcased fairly well except for the lighting issues. The fleshtones were usually accurate and the bitrate hovered around the mid 4.3 Mbps area most of the time but I did not see a lot of compression artifacts on the big screen and the bitrate varied a lot. Most scenes began with some tease before the regular motion sex kicked in, the music kept light in the background of the tease for the most part but the colors overly saturated and the occasional loss of focus a pain. The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital stereo English in a 192 Kbps and 48 kHz sampling rate offering, never really adding much by way of aural stimulation but the ladies were easy to hear on those occasions when they were using dirty talk. The music was generic and not offensive, thankfully limited in scope for the most part.

Body of Review: Anton "Vincent Voss" Slayer is one of the last holdout directors working for Metro/FusXion from what I've been told, the company's contract with Pat Myne and others slipping away sometime last year. Now that the company is under new management/ownership it is incumbent upon those running the place to let the world know exactly what kind of productions they are going to sponsor so the reviewers can tell the world about it, the distributors will know how to sell them to stores, who will in turn know how to market them to customers of all types in the highly competitive world of porn. The latest release by Anton coming in to be reviewed was Impulsive Sex Acts, a series of unrelated vignettes with little by way of theme other than the general idea of showcasing curvier than average ladies in the scenes. What caught my eye was the front cover showcasing lovely Texan Alexis Texas but while she was the draw, the movie would need a lot more from the other four ladies to keep me interested. Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that one condom was used for those still interested:

Scene One: Alexis Texas, the booty babe featured on the front cover of the DVD, was up first and appeared initially to be a case of the movie shooting its wad really early in the production. Alexis drove up in her shiny gray car, her blue jean shorts riding high on her ass and pink top low on her breasts as Mr. Pete waited for her to climb the driveway. The tease was markedly limited but Alexis dropped to her knees to swallow his sword by the doorway, the messy hummer showing the personal chemistry the pair has long had as lovers in real life. Shooting in the shade of the house caused some issues on the bright day though and Anton just doesn't have the experience to handle it as effectively as others in the field, the visual quality impaired by weak editing too. Summary: Impulsive Sex Acts by director Anton "Vincent Voss" Slayer for Metro/FusXion was not a bad movie but only a couple of scenes managed to float my boat so I rated it as a Rent It. Alexis and Pete led the way with their decent personal chemistry and a few of the others provided some heated moments but Kat, Latia, and Harley's scenes were all weak to me, the strokability factor and replay value diminished to say the least. I have hopes that the leaders of Metro will step up to the plate soon to turn things around but if they don't, at least they have a large back catalog to start churning out dirt cheap compilations with, that being about as far removed from what I would like the former leader in adult DVDs to shoot for. In short, Impulsive Sex Acts had little to be impulsive with, but it is merely a first outing at the company, the new FusXion logo signifying that changes are (hopefully) in store for their works.
