It's pretty hot all around and a nice addition, but if you're a fan of the Addicted series you may feel cheated that they included something already in your collection.

Audio/Video:

Addicted 5 features some nice quality all around. The film is presented with an anamorphic widescreen transfer that boasts plenty of positives ranging from nice contrast to sharp resolution, and a fine, clean image. There was a slight amount of grain in parts and interlacing was an issue at times, so the release isn't completely without flaw. The sound quality is decent enough as well with a nice balance and appropriate mix for the stereo presentation. 

Body of Review:

Addicted 5 is a relatively recent release from New Sensations, and it was one of their more prolific non-compilation DVDs from the latter part of 2008. The five scenes here all have something going for them, and that's to be expected with the likes of Jenna Haze, Ashlynn Brooke, Madison Ivy, Audrey Bitoni, and Jana Jordan making appearances. The sex here overall is very good with some of these starlets putting on quite a show. Unfortunately it's not as solid all around, there are some dry bits, the artistic nature isn't as subtle as it could have been, and Audrey has some nasty scarring going on. All of those flaws aside, if you're looking for some quality sex this is a release to consider. Take the good with the bad and you'll be pleased well enough.

Scene 1:

The first scene in Addicted 5 features John Strong and Ashlynn Brooke. It all begins with a narrative about the nature of addiction, which helps set the mood for the release nicely. This scene in particular gets started with Ashlynn, looking great as always, pulling off a nice little tease for the camera. She's dressed in a black dress with loads of diamonds, which is a series staple I suppose, but soon enough the dress starts to shed itself from her skin. The camera captures her slowly squeezing her tits and sucking her fingers and eventually after she plays with her pussy for a bit John comes into the scene and the action gets underway. Their sex gets going with some standard oral foreplay, and sadly the rest of the scene feels equally generic. John and Ashlynn get into some nice positions on the sofa and the scene does push the action into high gear a couple of times, but otherwise the scene felt a little too dry or forced. Don't get me wrong, Ashlynn looks amazing here and puts on a good show, but she never really connects with John in this scene and their sex looks awkward at times.

Scene 2:

For the second scene in Addicted #5 Madison Ivy and James Deen get together for some good times. The scene begins similar to how Ashlynn's did, with a little poetic narrative and Madison sitting on a sofa, dressed up like a million bucks. There's some black and white artsy-fartsy stuff that fades away to color as Madison is fucking her own pussy with a dildo. She wraps one of her legs around her head and gets in nice and close to her privates. The artistic nature of the program continues as James appears out of thin air and sticks his cock into her mouth. After a while the fucking begins and that's when this scene finally gets going. James and Madison have a spark between them right from the start and there's a ton of energy and sexy as hell moments here. Madison in particular really shines in the scene, though she does spend a little too much time looking directly at the camera. In so many ways this scene was an improvement over Ashlynn's and it gave this release of Addicted a silver lining.

Scene 3:

As far as I'm concerned anything Jenna Haze appears in turns to gold simply because she's there. Thankfully her scene here doesn't disappoint as she and Mark Wood put on a really good show. It begins exactly like the other scenes here and features Jenna playing around with a swirl-colored dildo. She eventually jams it into her pussy and puts on a nice show when she starts sucking Mark's cock after he arrives. Once the sex begins she and Mark have an awesome amount of chemistry, and it's improved by the way they never break eye contact. Scene 4:

Ashlynn is back once again, but this time she's playing with Jana Jordan. Their scene begins like every other one does with a bit of a tease, some poetry, artistic camera work, and eventually it cuts to the chase and focuses on the sex. Jana and Ashlynn make a fantastic pair of lipstick lesbians and this scene has a lot going for it because of them. Jana kicks things off by pinning Ashlynn to a sofa and running her tongue all over her body. Eventually the roles reverse and Ashlynn winds up on top fucking Jana's pussy with her fingers. Scene 5:

Bringing things to a close is the fantastic Audrey Bitoni in a fitting scene that packs quite a wallop. Audrey and Mick Blue get some fantastic sex going on here with a high amount of energy, and some nice positions and camera work. They have a nice connection and it's quite obvious as their chemistry is one of the better examples of this release working right. However, I will say that Audrey has some nasty implant scars in this scene. They were glaring and looked pretty horrible, even by industry standards. I don't recall seeing these as prominently in other releases with her, so they must have been more recent when Addicted 5 was filmed. .

Summary:

If you're a fan of solid sex and you don't mind some artsy stuff being mixed into your porn, then the Addicted franchise has a lot to offer. Its latest release brings some of the top performers in the business together for some nice action that doesn't necessarily push the boundaries of porn, but it's entertaining just the same. At the end of the day I'd say this release should be considered recommended, but it's not smooth enough all around for a high recommended.
