Audio/Video Quality: Bad Girls was presented in 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Robby D. for Digital Playground using the MPEG-2 codec in the standard definition release with a 480i resolution. The lighting was solid here, about as good as expected given this was Robby's standard type of gonzo, limiting the amounts of grain and video noise. While I generally prefer stronger lighting in my gonzo porn, Robby has a way of showing it all with less light, the tint of the colors only slightly off as a result. The composition of the shots and the editing enhanced the look of the ladies more than a little bit too, proving what this critic has to say about the production team led by Robby (thankfully, talented Nick P. was credited as editor). The DVD mastering showed no obvious compression artifacts (the bitrate varying but often staying around the 5.3 Mbps range when I paid attention) and this was one of his best casting efforts to date. The fleshtones looked accurate and the detail of the picture was decent but, I would have still enjoyed more medium to long shots allowing me to admire the ladies, especially lovely Stoya. The audio was presented in a 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround English (using an audio bitrate of 448 Kbps and the usual 48 kHz sampling rate) with a minimalist leaning similar to the various Jack series, with the vocals always dominating the audio track as I like it. While there wasn't much separation between the channels though the ladies were almost always clearly heard and their moans added to the enjoyment of the show for those keeping track.

Body of Review: Digital Playground was once known primarily as a couples-friendly porn company, producing porn that catered to those that did not watch a lot of porn. This continued until they decided to get real and hire director Robby D., the talented up-and-comer making waves at rival Vivid. Needless to say, there was a period of time where both parties got used to each other but it did not take too long before he started expanding their limits to the point where they could compete on many levels, offering some hard gonzo that detractors would never have believed possible up to that point. Nowadays, they offer titles like Bad Girls, their upcoming star-studded offering featuring lovely Stoya and two former contract gals, a touch of exotic women as well. The five scenes lasted longer than average and the relative lack of quality extras aside, it struck me as a winner many of you will want to pick up at the end of the month when it is released. Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Gabriella Fox, the busty brunette on the right side of the front cover, was up first in her colorful outfit that left little to the imagination. She teased slightly in bed as Ramon Nomar took pictures of her, savoring his luck as he gave her some oral along the way. In short, Bad Girls really did not have a central theme but the collection of scenes showed a variety of ladies many of you will adore. Stoya was by far the best performer of the bunch, showing all those that voted for her in numerous award shows that she earned their faith, clearly better than runner up types with more vocal followings. In all then, this might truly float your boat when it is released at the end of the month.
