Audio/Video Quality: Only The Beautiful #2 was presented in the usual 1.33: ratio full frame and 1.78:1 ratio letterboxed widescreen color as the scenes were shot by a variety of directors for a number of titles by New Sensations in this MPEG-2 standard definition release that used 480i resolution (and a video bitrate tending to hover in the 4.2 Mbps range). The quality of the scenes varied more than a little bit as some were very appealing while others were in need of better attention to detail but I still felt that the overall compilation was handled fairly well and focused on the cutie in question quite nicely. The series has sold well enough to merit a sequel according to the company president and fans that have passed up on projects in the past seem to find them really solid in terms of value so the minor technical matters aren't as big a factor here. The fleshtones were accurate, the lighting usually good, and the composition of the shots typically good enough to enhance the look of the ladies. Oh yeah, the watermarks were back in case that matters to you (the company name on the lower right hand corner of the scenes). The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital English (in 192 Kbps at a 48 kHz sampling rate), with little separation and limited dynamic range but at least the music was not as lame as it could have been in most cases (exceptions noted below).

Body of Review: New Sensations was once a front runner in many ways as the company sought to be on the cutting edge of couples friendly porn but recent times have seen them turning to their extensive back catalog to release huge volumes of compilations. This strategy is okay for a short while but it not only elevates the expectations of customers in the short run (after all, once you get used to having 4 or 5 hours worth of scenes for a low price point, getting less than half that seems like a gyp) and in the long run, you run out of material to generate new compilations. Still, I can't argue with the fact that I like many of their custom made offerings due to the manner in which they provide a focused theme, the latest being Only The Beautiful #2. This time, the emphasis was on ladies that were exceptionally attractive physically, the cast list replete with top notch talent and youthful beauties that merited inclusion in the double disc movie. While not all the cast were properly labeled this time (a relative rarity for the company by the way), I found a whole lot to enjoy this time. Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: All American Cream Pie 2: Nika Noire, Mark Ashley; Up first is Nika, an exotic brunette with a typically flawless body. Some of the scenes have been used in past compilations though and they were not clearly labeled so a consumer looking at the box cover would know ahead of time or I might have upgraded the rating a notch. In short, Only The Beautiful #2 was true to the advertising and while personal tastes in looks might lead one to believe such a compilation was impossible, the choices made here were well above average in terms of looks, if not always the performances of the ladies so check it out.
