Extras: The 10:12 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Jamal Johnson & Evul Atheng was the best extra. It emphasized hotty Stoya and wisely concentrated on her initially. Audio/Video Quality: Jesse Jane Atomic Tease was presented in the usual 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color as envisioned by director Celeste for Digital Playground in the usual MPEG-2 codec reserved for standard definition releases (shot in 1080 but down converted to this 480 presentation). The high end equipment and skilled crew of regulars assisted director of photography Robby to make this release look really sharp; losing the artistic style that doesn't always work so well for me. In fact, the technical matters showed Robby's influence serving nicely to ground the scenes with less of the arty farty filters and effects that the director sometimes uses (but some were clearly present here). The lighting was generally solid here, reducing the grain, video noise, and other defects that sometimes arise in making porn on a budget; favoring a clear focus in some cases that I was convinced worked very well. Sidney Michaels was the editor but unlike many of his recent efforts, his style of editing left me hanging all too often, perhaps not having the right kind of footage to work with or something. The DVD mastering revealing no compression artifacts; with the bitrate for the visuals hovering around the mid 6.8 Mbps this time with few flaws but not as low in resolution as previous efforts in related showcase efforts from prior to last year. The audio was presented in a 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround English using a 384 Kbps bitrate and 48 kHz sampling rate; over twice that of most porn made these days, with a minimalist leaning that seemed unique in most ways to productions outside of the Jack series, but the vocals did not always dominate the audio track as I like it so your mileage may vary. There wasn't much separation between the channels, if any outside of the intermittent music, but the ladies were always clearly heard here. The light jazz flavored score was pretty decent this time too, working in most cases to enhance the scenes.

Body of Review: To me, director Celeste at Digital Playground represents more than just another advisor on what works for women in porn, she provides proof that the company's usual crew (led by Robby D, her director of photography) are willing to try new things, approaches that don't always work but still allow them to see hotties like Jesse Jane in action. While I know that's a tough act to follow, it results in fuck flicks like the upcoming Jesse Jane Atomic Tease. The movie is presumably dedicated to tease as a near art form and will include a lot of short sex scenes that her fans will buy regardless of whose name is at the helm of the movie. For me, Jesse being in three of the six scenes was clearly enough to perk my interest since the superstar performer almost always gives a good show. Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Jesse Jane, all dolled up like a 1950's wife, was hard at work ironing after the rapid fire montage credits rolled, her story told without a single word as she tried to entice sleepyhead Scott Nails out of bed to jump her bones. Her old fashioned lingerie and riding crop made that an easy choice for the guy, the lightweight musical score ending before too long (about the time he began eating her) to provide the vocals many fans prefer greatly over the music only efforts of the tease. The camera was too close to properly catch all that was going on between the playful couple, the oral by each leading to vaginal sex in several positions as Jesse rode the baloney pony as if possessed. It was actually kind of comical how much of the scene took place but Jesse, unlike most in the industry, actually pulled it off to an extent, the ending wad of genetic juice savored after she milked it out of his balls with an enthusiastic ride.

Scene Two: Daisy Marie, a sexy Latina wearing a funky trench coat, was up next as she embraced the motif of the day, also made up to look as if drawn from a timeless period in pop culture history, her seductive tease resulting in Danny Mountain going down on her. Unlike the last two, these folks had no chemistry but Daisy's oral skills and active vaginal riding sure helped keep it watchable a time or two. Danny bust a nut on her abdomen (a huge pop by the way) but it struck me as fake looking.

Scene Three: Jesse Jane, once again in the spotlight, was up next performing for the camera instead of a specific male, trying on various lingerie and accessories, all black in color as she laughed and posed. The tempo of the music reflected this and it was cute when she motioned for Derrick Pierce to join her, the guy holding her panties off to the side so he could snack on her crack as she gyrated in pleasure. When it was her turn, she showed she only has a single speed when it comes to cock sucking, full steam ahead, and Derrick was kind enough to hold her hair as he guided her into doing what he liked. Scene Five: Madison Scott, a blond "stripper next door" type, was up next as she limited the tease in favor of sucking off Danny Mountain. This concept in mind, I could identify with the guy for a spell, her decision to look straight into the camera breaking the illusion even as she appeared fixated on his rod while she used hand, mouth, and throat to do him right in preparation of bouncing on the pecker. It was interesting to see her wrap her panties around it during the warm up phase as she jerked him off but that didn't go much of anywhere so I lost interest in the otherwise mechanical action. Scene Six: Jesse Jane, again dolled up in black, finished up the movie in a final scene with muscular Johnny Sins, the guy playing an amateur photographer snapping shots of the lovely leading lady as she rolled around on the hardwood flooring. Her hairstyle and outfit fit her perfectly and she was soon pawing at his body, the quick paced edits getting them undressed faster than usual as she took what she wanted from him, inhaling his cock before the two pounded into each other during the vaginal sex. Jesse went wild and it struck me as the gal having a great time, Johnny serving more as a nameless meat puppet than anything else. The pop shot went to her abdomen, some simulated choking provided along the way.

Summary: Jesse Jane Atomic Tease by director Celeste for Digital Playground invoked a spirit of classic Americana with vintage lingerie and hairstyles long forgotten outside of projects such as this so those of you that adore Jesse Jane as much as I do will understand why she was so strong in her scenes compared to the other women in the cast. The style and editing just didn't work for me this time though so I rated it as a Rent It for the general population, though fans of Jesse Jane should consider this a "must have" for how much she was involved in the project. In short, despite some technical flaws and pacing issues, Jesse Jane Atomic Tease continued the series dynamic in such a manner that I find it worth taking a look at it, I just can't always say the replay value is there for my needs.
